I love pressed pennies. I have a bunch from our honeymoon in Niagra, trips to Sturbridge village, et cetera. And I have the machine locations in WDW all plotted out. Now I have been trying to figure out what to do with them once I have them and I think I have a solution.

I am going to have my DH drill a tiny hole in each one so I can thread a ribbon through them and hang them on my Christmas tree. I am a Christmas nut anyway and I always buy at least one ornament when we go somewhere on vacation so I can look back on our trips when I set up my tree. This will make it even more fun.

Just thought I would share!

Does Disney sell any sort of card-type holder for a single penny that could be hung as an ornament? I always get each of my boys a new ornament each year and this would be perfect for Xmas 2001 to remember their first trip to WDW.

I love the idea of hanging the on the Christmas tree. I can do that with all of the ones from my honeymoon and our other vacations.

Apparently, you can buy a pressed penny book at WDW to put all your pressed pennies in to keep as a souvenire book

I just thought of an answer to my own question, I'll go to our Dollar Store and get the Disney fridge magnets I saw there. I can fasten the pressed penny in the middle of the frame on a nice coloured background, either for the fridge or to hang on the Christmas tree!:smooth:

I thought about using a generic frame base and attaching the pennies from each child around a framed picture. Just an idea.

CynJ - Disney Auctions has been selling a pressed penny book to store your collection. Not sure if it is there now but most items come back around
