Matching Mickey Mouse Club T-Shirts

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-4/149620/designall.dll.jpeg
On a casual dining evening (date yet to be determined), we are planning our own Mickey Mouse Club Night to make us very disguisable to other Magic guests and to one another! It’s also another great photo opportunity! So if you would like to participate, you can purchase your t-shirt(s) at either www.DisneyStore.com (http://www.disneystore.com/tees-mickey-mouse-club-you-design-it-tee-for-adults/p/1239031/305603/) or Zazzle.com (http://www.zazzle.com/mickey+mouse+club+tshirts).
There are variations of t-shirt styles that you can purchase (especially at Zazzle) for the whole family in a wide range of sizes. So choose your favorite style and don’t forget to personalize it with your name on the back in a LARGE font. Some DISers are choosing Impress as their font of choice, but feel free to use whatever you like best!
On a final note, pack your Ears if you have them to go with your MMC shirt!
Note that Zazzle DOES ship internationally, where DisneyStore does not.
[LIST] DisneyStore.com (http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store/DSISearch?D=mickey+mouse+club&Dn=0&langId=-1&Nao=0&Ntk=All_Shopping&Nr=AND%28OR%28pStoreID%3A10051%2CpStoreID%3A10601% 2CpStoreID%3A10052%29%2CpPublished%3A1%29&catalogId=10002&Nu=pProductID&Ntt=mickey+mouse+club&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&storeId=10051&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Dr=AND%28OR%28pStoreID%3A10051%2CpStoreID%3A10601% 2CpStoreID%3A10052%29%2CpPublished%3A1%29&Ns=pGrossMargin|1||pSortName|0&N=0&categoryId=11776):
Zazzle.com (http://www.zazzle.com/mickey+mouse+club+tshirts):
One point to mention is that on Zazzle's site, they have two circular-looking graphic versions of the Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt. One looks like the one Todd posted (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36866226&postcount=3616), which is identical to the one on Disney's site, and Zazzle also has a second, a less dazzling one, that does not have the "Member" and "1956" reference. The screenprint is also different in color. So please make sure you select the correct one.
We will be wearing the MMC shirts on Night 11 of the cruise

Cruise Banner (logo) for signature lines
Thar be many a crew asking me if they can be adding the cruise banner to there signature , And I figured I wouldnt keep it all to me onesies so here be three different sizes you can be adding to your signature line , Beware , those crewmates that dont be adding it could find themselves walking the plank come Sept 2010 ...Savvy ??
Instructions to add Banner to signature line Thanks Tia
Right click the size logo that you want and select properties. Copy the link then go to User CP and Edit Signature. Using the little yellow square (looks like a picture of mountains) above the signature box, paste the link that you copies from the photo properties. Make sure you don't get 2 http entries. Instead of using the yellow box, you can just type then paste the link and end with - no spaces in between the brackets and the link.

Where to get Adult Beverages before the cruise in Barcelona
Before the 2007 TA, we discovered the wine shop in El Corte Ingles, which is a department store located at the top of Las Ramblas. The wine department is on the lower level, in the grocery store. The selection is fabulous, and the prices incredible!

Timings are subject to change due to potential clashes with the tastings and location will be advised later.
List of participants:
http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q51/dolphingirl_album/DISBoards/JewelleryMaster2-1.jpg
We will be working on three projects in each workshop:
For the necklace, we are going to use Swarovski crystals in various different shapes and sizes. For the Villain theme, we are going to use purple and black crystals, for the ship theme black, white, red and yellow crystals and for the Champagne girl theme pink crystals.
For the cell phone charm, there are two options. The Champagne Girl version will have a silver Tinkerbell charm dangling from the end and will have pink crystals. The Pirate version will have silver skull beads at either end with black, white, red and yellow crystals in the middle.
For the bag charm, there will only be one version. This will have lime green Mickey beads at either end with metal beads spelling out DIS in the middle.
I will update the spreadsheet on here once I have the last of the room numbers. You can find the most up to date spreadsheet with some additional information here:

DIS Scavenger Hunt:
is anyone out there who would like to partake in our Disney Magic Scavenger Hunt, could you please send me a PM with your name, number of copies and your room number .... just so I have a vague idea of how many copies to bring. I will bring these to the DIS meet on the first day and for those who don't make the meet I will drop it off in your FE / Fish on the first sea day.
The scavenger hunt will involve finding things out about the Magic, photographing items and finding items and should be a lot of fun. Participants should hand in their completed forms and show us their photos and items collected on the last sea day in the morning, before the Farewell Lunch, as that is when we will be giving out the prizes. Location and time to be finalised for dropping off the sheets etc.
So far I have the following people on the list ( could you please confirm how many copies you will need ie. if you are doing it as individuals or together. Thanks.

Secret Mickey
SECRET MICKEY IS NOW CLOSED
Welcome to the WBTA Secret Mickey:
This works along the same idea as a Secret Santa. Each participating stateroom will be matched with another stateroom, and the idea is to buy or make a gift or gifts, with a total cost per cabin of no more than $25. The gift (s) can be one big joint gift for all those in the stateroom, or small individual gifts for each person. The gifts can be left in the FE during the cruise, or you can have the room attendant put the gift in the room. You should have a tag/card that designates it as a gift from their Secret Mickey.
At the farewell lunch you can reveal yourself to your Secret Mickey recipient. If you do not plan to attend the lunch, it might be a good idea to reveal your identity by popping a card in your recipients fish towards the end of the cruise.
You will all by now have recieved your Secret Mickey recipients so I hope you have fun :yay:

Wow, I went to bed last night finishing page 165 and I wake up and we're on part 10. :thumbsup2
Two weeks from today, at 7:35 am, DD Lindsay and I will be arriving in Belgium. Sure hope they have a place that serves Belgium Waffles for breakfast. :rotfl2: We have a 5 hour layover there before we change planes and arrive in Barcelona at 2:45 pm. Oops, I almost forget-gotta get some Belgium chocolate too.
For those leaving soon, have a safe flight.

Part 9 is still open and nobody should post on here until Part 9 has been locked. The captain just started a new thread as he is leaving soon and also to give people who are organizing various things the chance to add their info posts to the first couple of pages. Please come and join us on Part 9.

Didn't make it to page 1!
List is now Closed!
A chance to participate in an exchange of postcards during your voyage.
The idea is that people buy postcards of their area/country/town/city etc and deliver a postcard to each person on the list. They don't need to be written on or anything but I'm sure people would like to have something on there to let them know who it was off. If people do want to write a little note on their about their country or town then thats OK too.
So far we have around 15 people taking part and you don't have to be in the Fish Extender Exchange to join in - but please let me know if you don't have an FE as then I can make a note on the list so people know not to expect one and can place the cards directly in the Fish Holder (they are built to hold letters etc anyway).
If anyone would like to take part that isn't on the list let me know.

If anyone would like to be added to this list please PM. Basically it is a list of people who would like Disers to stop by if they get a second to help them out with something. This was suggested by Kimberley (Buckeye Gal) and is a way for people to remember the trip. Some previous uses were:
Signing personalised scrapbook pages for people
Marking maps for children so they can use them either in a school project or for scrapbooking

Barcelona Accommodations List
Color Coding Translation:
The first five columns are grouped into colors based on the specific location of a night's accommodations.
The Arrival Date column is color coded by date. This same color coding is used on the Inbound Barcelona Flight Schedule List for dates of arrival into Barcelona. This makes it easier to cross-reference for whatever coordination you want to work out with fellow DISers, if it be to meet up for ground transportation, dining, or whatever else comes to mind that's legal! :rotfl:
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa55/Buckeye_Gal_OH/DCL%202010%20WB%20Trans-Atlantic/Hotel%20Roll%20Calls/HotelRollCalls0911Pt1530pm.jpg
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa55/Buckeye_Gal_OH/DCL%202010%20WB%20Trans-Atlantic/Hotel%20Roll%20Calls/HotelRollCalls0911Pt2530pm.jpg
INBOUND BARCELONA FLIGHT SCHEDULES
Color Coding Translation:
Where applicable, the first five columns are color coded in groups of travelers who have close to or exact departure date/times at the same airport. In some cases, these DISers may be on the same flight, or at the very least, you will likely be at the airport at the same time. So if you are in the same terminal, you may want to hook up for a mini-DIS meets! :grouphug:
The Arriving Airport column only has coloring (of DIS green) for Barcelona. Used with the Arrival Date/Time fields, this will to help identify those who will be at the BCN airport around the same time.
Arrival Date and Arrival Time fields have a color that corresponds to the color of Arrival Date on the Barcelona Accommodations List. This is to more easily cross-reference who will be headed to the same place on the same day when you arrive to our embarkation city. :woohoo: Again, this is to help facilitate anyone wanting to coordinate ground transportation :car: or if they simply want to give a hello :wave2: down at Customs/baggage claim.

Scrapbooking Exchange
Note the deadline to sign-up was July 16, so the participant list is closed.
Sandi (Hoagie Pie) has organized an exchange for the scrapbookers of the group! The idea is to give a scrapbooking embellishment for use in your scrapbooks after you return home!
Here are some answers to FAQs:
Deadline to sign-up was EOD July 16.
You don't have to spend a lot or any money towards this exchange.
The gift can be homemade, already in your scrapbooking inventory, or purchased.
Some ideas include page borders, journaling boxes, photo frames, titles for pages, and small embellishments.
Your gift can have a theme related to something you do on the ship (games, dining, pirating, etc.), our ports-of-call, cruising in general, Disney, or whatever else comes to mind.
If you have questions, contact Sandi (Hoagie Pie) (http://www.disboards.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=143626)!
The list of participants for the Scrapbooking Exchange is as follows:
(as of July 9)
1DisneyQueen - Dee (5628)
Bareacuda - Ann (8572)
birkner - Noel (8024)
Buckeye Gal - Kimberly (2004)
coconut1 - Brenda (2570)
gismo1554 - Sarah (6083)
Hoagie Pie - Sandi (6511)

PoohluvsFigment - Wanda (5626)
su_kraft - Sue (8548)
TotallyAngelic - Sarah (6319)
Vakamalua -Andrea (7060) [note Andrea does not have a FE, so utilize her silver fish]
Yukongirl123 - Janice (7043)
TOTAL: 13
There are 13 here, but you are not making one for yourself, you only need 12 items to give.
If anybody has any questions, just PM Sandi or if there is anything else, please let her know that as well.
Note that Theresa (Dialady) didn't get signed up by the deadline, but if you have extra goodies and would like to include her in your exchange, she's in 2610.

Assuming the new dining schedule is correct, Do NOT remember the date, September 28. Do NOT do this!
:earsboy: Instead, remember DISers are a PERFECT 10!
So we will now wear our shirts on NIGHT 10, aka September 27, aka PJ Breakfast Day. Don't forget your ears! :earboy2:

http://www.hostelbloggers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/magic-fountain.jpg
:car: While in Barcelona Thursday night, several of us are planning to meet at Praktik Rambla Hotel to walk over to the Metro Station (http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/albums-en/magic-fountains-montjuic/) or buddy up in taxis to go as a group to the Font Màgica light show.
€ € € Transportation costs are on you! :) € € €
If you would like to join the group (good idea for safety reasons), here are the details:
What: Magic Fountain Light Show; first show at 9:30 pm
When: Thursday, September 16, 2010
Time: 20:15 aka 8:15 pm
Gathering Location: Praktik Rambla Hotel located at Rambla de Catalunya, 27
"Sign Up": Of course you can change your mind about going, but so we have a good idea of who we should look out for, it would be great if you sign up for the Event on our website (http://www.transatlanticpirates.com/) and note if you'll be at the hotel or meet at the fountain.
Alternative Gathering Location: If it's more convenient to go directly to the Magic Fountain, you can try to meet us up there.
Exactly Where?: Southeast end of the walkway over Avenguda de Rius i Taulet (at the SE end of Avenguda de la Reina Maria Cristina); this is the north side of the fountain
Google Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=magic+fountain,+Spain&sll=41.366825,2.16671&sspn=0.033238,0.060682&g=Montjuich,+Barcelona,+Spain&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Magic+Fountain+of+Montju%C3%AFc,+08038+Barce lona,+Spain&ll=41.371503,2.151529&spn=0.002077,0.003793&t=h&z=18; remember to meet at the walkway noted, not the "A" mark on the map!
I'll take a purple grape colored umbrella with neon yellow ribbons hanging from the top of it and have it held up in hopes you find us. So look for the umbrella held high in the sky.http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/smiles/umbrella.gif"]http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/smiles/umbrella.gif
Alternative Date: There are others who are planning to go Friday after the DIS Meets at the Hard Rock Cafe as well, however, they will not be meeting at Praktik Rambla Hotel.

Anita (pink shirt) & Ivanna (DIS green shirt) Cruz
WHAT: I've got a challenge for you!
WHO: The traveling twins, Anita and Ivanna Cruz
WHERE: They will be placed in my Fish Extender at Stateroom 2004. I'm already on the "Come See Me" list in the DIS Navigator, so when you think about coming to sign my scrapbook page, please see if Anita or Ivanna are there, too.
WHEN: All voyage long
WHY: I ask you to take one of the twins on an adventure, take a picture of what she was up to, then return her back to my stateroom for her to await another escapade with another one of you crazy characters!
Anita and Ivanna like to have fun, so I trust you'll give them a good time!! ;-)
After the cruise, you can email me the pictures, post them on FB (http://www.facebook.com/Kimberly.G.Adkins), our group flickr site (http://www.flickr.com/groups/1501283@N23), or on DISboards.
I hope you play along!
THANK YOU!!!

LOADING E-NAVIGATOR TO ANY DEVISE WITH A PDF READER.
Apple devises, have iBook or other PDF reader app installed. Save the electronic navigator from Sarah's post above, http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=38064648&postcount=19, then e-mail it to yourself. When you open the file on your apple devise you should be asked where you want to open it, I put mine in both iBook and AirShare Pro.
On other devises, I am not sure, perhaps it is just a file you need to sync with/ save to your devise and then it will be available since it is a PDF. Sorry haven't had other devises yet to play with.

ATTENTION ST MAARTEN BERNARD TOUR MEMBERS
I heard from Betty and she suggested we just meet at 8:45 AM in front of the yellow building at the information desk next to the statue as described by Bernard above in his email in post #2 (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=38056623&postcount=2)
Bernard said the building was about three minutes walk from the pier. When we have all arrived, one of us will walk up to the Information Desk and ask for Bernard to tell him we have all arrived.
I will have signs for the drivers for the tour leaders. I plan on wearing my DIS Lanyard for identification.
See you on the Magic!!

Vent ahead; you can skip it if you want.
Seriously why does shopping have to be such a pain??:confused3 It is so stressful as I can never find what I need or want. Then I end up buying stuff because I don't care and just want something that might work even though I totally dislike it. I don't think it would be quite so bad if I was within normal sizing charts but I am unfortunately not and it is just a royal pain. But even when I weighed about 50 pounds less I still struggled to find clothing. But even stuff that should be easy to locate was definitely not today.
Some of the reason for needing to shop now is due to my surgery I have incision sites at 5 different places/heights and things that fit before now pull and rub at places even though I weigh less then I did before the surgery.
Now to wash the stuff I got and then unto packing which I dislike as much or more.:headache::rolleyes1 While stuff is washing I am watching Lilo and Stitch and hoping my luggage packs itself.;)
I hope everyone's packing and planning is going well.

Wow, I need to catch up on Part 9!
But anyway ....
Happy and safe travels to all who are leaving imminently or already left! For all of you who have friended Mike on Facebook, he updates me every morning: Sarah says only 4 days left! Pam is all packed! He has an iPhone so he has mobile facebook. I'm tethered and not on FB a whole lot.
I showed Mike the DIS Navigator, and he was really impressed that folks were bringing extra meds and their room #s were listed in case anyone needed some. Then he looks at me deadpan and asks, "Who's got the extra heroin?"
Now, can someone come please clean my house so I don't come home to a pig stye? OKthanksbye!

Went to the old thread and saw it was closed. Too far behind to answer anyone so if anything important happened, will someone please PM me?
I thought we were done packing including our toiletries. However, John is still making door magnets. He weighed the magnetic paper in one of our suitcase and I have paid Air Berlin for the extra baggage. If he is wrong about he weight, he will just have to "wear" the magnets in his photography vest!!
By my calculations we are still ahead on air fare as the flight to Frankfurt is essentially free since it only cost $5.00 for the two of us though I wish I would not have had to ship a bag!!
All that is left after the magnet printing is get our mani/pedi's in the AM. Hopefully, that will relax both of us. We will have a late lunch and then proceed to the airport to hang out in the Red Carpet Club.
Bags are packed, in the hall and ready to put into the car in the morning. Here is a picture of our packed bags and Pal Mickey:

The only place he would have to put the magnets in his vest is Germany!! We have plenty of room for them in the USA. I am really only kidding, he would take out all of his camera lenses, put them in his vest and put the magnets in the carry on.
Look at you all organized ... I have random packing cubes strewn about the house!
You would be organized if you had been packing and unpacking for two weeks and had to leave tomorrow!! I am not sacrificing a manicure to packing!!

Sounds like you could've used Clinton Kelly and Tim Gunn on your shopping excursion!
Sorry you didn't have a gratifying retail therapy experience. :(
If they were paying and helping to shop I would gladly take the help. ;) Although I may give them a run for their money. As I always have trouble finding clothing.
I am very hard to shop for off of a store shelf. I can find things easier if I order online as they tend to carry more sizes but I need to try everything on as sizes vary so much from item to item. If it is ordered it leads to lots of returns. I need tall, plus size clothing. But sometimes stores "tall" clothing is still too short in the sleeves, leg length or shirt length. I basically need a custom swim suit as they are too short even the tall versions. I basically need a size 12 narrow or extra narrow shoe. I have friends that are taller then me (I'm 5'9") who have less issues with the lengths then I do.
I have said it more then once that I need to create a clothing, shoe and swimsuit line. I am sure there are others that have similar issues.

I know I am not in the same category but I did gain 15 pounds last year :( and most of it is on my hips. I had to buy a lot of new stuff but I still had issues of what I thought I looked good in.
That was my major stressing issues while packing over the issue. What shirts hid my hips and did not make me feel awe full. Then they had to match the limited amount of shorts I was bringing.
Normally Hubby is the tough one. He was easy since he lost 40 pounds he just needed new clothes and the more I found stains on the more I bought.
Guys have it so easy. There pants seems to fit if you know the waist and inseem. Where I know I can try on 20 pairs of pants and still not find the one for my body shape :(
So I get it. We want to feel comfortable and and look good problem that is hard to do sometimes.
Hubby looks at me like I have 2 heads. Like who cares if your clothes are not color co-ordinated:sad2::sad2:
I said I have never worn mismatched clothes and I do not intended to do it now. He has no concept of the last 2 years getting to know each one.
You are strangers to me.

If a time conflict or anything else pops up when we are on the Magic and you won't be able to attend, please let me know. Room 7622- I will have my fish extender up for notes- or just give me a call! Thanks!
If you wanted to attend, and we had already filled the seats; you have a couple of options. I do have a waiting list with 6 names on it. I could add you to the list in case we have openings. I will try to keep the tea as filled as possible!
When we board the Magic, you could go to Rocking Bar D (I think) when we board the Magic where they are taking Palo reservations and try to book the same date and time of the Ladies Tea. (please let me know if you are able to do that. Room 7622 Kathy Allen Thanks!)

Me! 5'9'' plus size as well. I end up ordering most of my clothes. (and returning most of those I order!)
Coldwater Creek has a few plus tall pants thru their catalog.
Their sleeve length seems a little more generous than most, but they are may be a little "old lady-ish" for you. ;) My kids seem to think they are!

I know what you mean about guys. My DH has been wearing the same brand pants for 5 or 6 years. Year after year, the same pants. The company doesn't change a thing.
You can't find that in women's clothing. If I find one pair of pants that fit, I'd better buy more than one because I will never find them again!
Honestly, I don't think that anyone is going to notice what we have on. And if they do, they will see the same things being worn over and over since our baggage allowance is so small!

quoted from valbob89......
I put all my clothes in plastic bags as I pack i.e. all my underwear in one, blouses in another etc. Then I put the bags into a plastic laundry basket as I go. It is easy to pickup the laundry basket and place it on the bathroom scale. I know how much my suitcase weights so I just add that. It is way easier for me to add and take out from the basket, I don't have to zip and unzip the luggage. Also, my bathroom scale is more accurate then the luggage scale I have.
That said, we leave early tomorrow morning and I am not finished packing, DH has barely started. Cat had to choose yesterday to get sick so spent afternoon at the vets (Bob told me he was just upset about seeing the suitcases). Still haven't made my MCC tees nor magnets. Did get my floors scrubbed and waxed. Sister asked me why I bothered when the cat would just mess up the house (he does). Explained I think it goes back to my mom's "always wear clean underwear in case your in an accident" worry - if I died on the trip I wouldn't want her talking bad about me when she saw my dirty house. Sick I know but then when we were robbed the first think I said was "he saw my dirty dishes". Sick. Val
I understand what you are saying,,,,Even tho hubby will be home and he can certainly take care of himself and the house, I will do some cleaning before I leave. The clean underwear reminded me of the story of hubby's first time at camp.
He was only 6 years old and his Grandmother thought it would be a good thing to send him to church camp. I won't go into details but it was not fun at all. He hated it. He tried to run away and they found him a mile down the road and brought him back. But the thing that is funny is that his mother had told him to be sure to put a clean pair of underwear on every day. (remember he is only 6 at the time) When he got home, his mother discovered he had 7 pairs of underwear on!!!!! He had not taken off any of the dirty underwear and changed them, he just kept piling on the pairs of them !!!!!!:lmao:

Those leaving today, have a safe trip, we look forward to meeting you. We have spent the time today packing. I'm 95 percent done, Teresa is still sorting. We don't leave until Friday. I tell you packing makes women ill!!!:lmao: so I'm sure I will be in the doghouse some this week.:rotfl: I don't know what we would have done if we were going to do formal nights. Even using the Travelpro I don't have enough room for some small things like shoes, toiletries, the little kids fe gifts, bras, t shirts, caftans, makeup, hair dryer.
So I must repack tomorrow using the Jeep. :guilty: It really won't match, but at this point, matching luggage is the very least of my worries. :rolleyes1 That piece of luggage is big, old and ugly, but boy can it carry a lot of gear. :cool2::cool2::cool2:

That is a great story! Thanks for the laugh!
Well, I worked today and got nothing done for the cruise - well, that's not exactly true - I bought the final part of my FE gifts as well as bags to put the candy in for the candy exchange - just have to buy the candy now! I haven't even started to pack yet...there's a pile, but nothing in the suitcases. I work again tomorrow night until midnight so not much packing is going to happen. Sigh...however I will get some things done - I have to have a 2 hour fasting blood test, so I'll be working on my FE gifts during that time. Plus I'm going to make a list of things to pack, things I need to get and just things in general! LOL!
I am very excited for the cruise, but I'm continuing to freak out about the flight. I think I'm going to message my friend who is a flight attendent.

Have fun Corinna ...... are you going to Alton Towers ?
Yes, we went to Alton Towers and had a wonderful time. I am too chicken for the big rides, but loved Duel (kind of like a cross between Haunted Mansion and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin). I did this twice. I also did the log flume, Rapids, Runaway Mine Train, spinning tea cups and - big mistake- the galleon ride. We got so wet on this. It was a great day out.
I'm a little late to the thread - found the original question about the Navigator, but not what it is. Isn't the Navigator the ship's daily newsletter and schedule? Is it available in electronic format now?
:welcome: on board.
Anybody fly with monarch before??
I cant decide whether to do the online check in or not, sometimes it is more hassle than its worth ..
I will have to see.
We flew with Monarch coming back from the Med cruise in May and were very impressed. We were supposed to fly with them to Barcelona as well for that cruise, but the Volcanic Ash put paid to this. I was so impressed how they handled this whole situation. We looked into doing online check in for that flight, but when I realized that we could only do this if we were paying for pre-assigned seats, I quickly gave up on this idea as I am too cheap to pay for pre-assigned seats. Check in at Barcelona was very smooth. We are flying with them again on Friday. Just make sure you updated your passport details on their website beforehand and everything should be fine.
Sound like you have had quite a task there!!! Glad you are getting there now!
We are just about packed. Booked our car rental, and flights for our Jan Panama Canal trip. They were two jobs stressing me so I feel much more relaxed now. Haven't quite got to that excited part yet though. Enjoy the feeling!!!
Looks like you had a productive day. Who did you go with for the flights in the end? We have this pleasure to come if we do book the Panama Canal cruise on board and there is a good likelihood that this will happen.
Corinna
Haven't checked in for a couple days. Looks like everyone has been busy pakcing and running to the airports. Safe travels to you all.
We left Emiel and Yvette last Friday to carry on to Bob and Lynne's. Here is how the trip went. Missed our first train out of Delft, good thing we planned for that. Caught the next three trains and transfers without any troubles. Got to DUS with lots of time to spare, 7 hours that is. Decided to save Candida any extra time on her feet we would relax at the airport. Checkec our luggage in so we wouldn't have to deal with that anymore. Our flight was delayed by 45 min. It was a good flight no troubles there. Got down to the luggage claim, and waited, and waited, and waited. NO LUGGAGE. They misplaced both of our bags. It finally arrived the next morning at Bob and Lynne's. It was at the airport the whole time. Just not were it should have been. It's been a fun time here. We'll see everyone in a few days.

:welcome: on board.
Looks like you had a productive day. Who did you go with for the flights in the end? We have this pleasure to come if we do book the Panama Canal cruise on board and there is a good likelihood that this will happen.
Corinna
Me too Corinna, I never checked in online cause of that.

Very late getting on the Dis this morning. I had such a good night's sleep and John let me sleep in till almost 9am, completely unheard so. Boy, I have so much to do I could have done with being up at 6am, but for sure I feel so much better!! Anyway the Dis was down when i got on the computer as it always is for about 15 minutes at that time, so have been so busy defuzzing etc I have only just got back. And, I couldn't find our thread!! I thought it was way down the page and wondered what was up....... until I saw this one!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I haven't been to the old one yet to finish off though.
Finally about 95% done packing. Leaving Tues. a.m. and just need to add the final important things like make-up, hairdryer, medicines, etc.
See ya Sat. in Barcelona. Happy travels everyone.
We leave tomorrow morning too. See you Saturday!! Safe travels to you.

Haven't been to Alton Towers for years. Perhaps next year sometime.
We ended up with Virgin non sale prices for the convenience of direct from Manchester. We are going to fly back from LA to Orlando after some days over in the west and spend a couple of weeks relaxing in a cheaper place!

Oh isn't it awful when that happens. Glad you got your bags back so quickly though. It is one of the reasons we always arrive a few days before a cruise just in case bags go missing, giving some time for them to turn up. We had a bag not arrive home with us once from Lanzarote and because that company only flew Mondays and Thursdays, it was the 4 days later that we received it. But, we did receive it back, full of dirty washing too!!! Sometimes people never get their bags back.

Great picture! :yay: That must mean we are all really going!:yay:
The clean underwear reminded me of the story of hubby's first time at camp.
He was only 6 years old and his Grandmother thought it would be a good thing to send him to church camp. I won't go into details but it was not fun at all. He hated it. He tried to run away and they found him a mile down the road and brought him back. But the thing that is funny is that his mother had told him to be sure to put a clean pair of underwear on every day. (remember he is only 6 at the time) When he got home, his mother discovered he had 7 pairs of underwear on!!!!! He had not taken off any of the dirty underwear and changed them, he just kept piling on the pairs of them !!!!!!

Well packing has been an epic failure.
Two and one half days of work. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
have to laugh Steffi......I was thinking exactly the same....my luggage should all match but we had to utilise another holdall so have borrowed dd's large 'camo' design student bag!:thumbsup2 At least we'll easily recognise it!:goodvibes

Oh no! Poor Howard! Hope he recovers soon
I got wise to this around thread 4 or 5. I have expected for a days now that this thread might be closed at any time. So whenever I was not able to reply straight away, I multi-quoted, hit reply and then copied and pasted the lot into a blank email or Word document. I did this last night and now I can just hit reply again, copy and paste my multi-quotes into here and start replying.

My best friend since I was 5 came Saturday. We didn't go to bed until 3:00 am! That's pretty good for us because typically we will stay up until 6:00 chatting when she comes to visit. Hi Everyone! I have only been skimming (barely) the past few weeks...have been busy freezing and canning our garden harvest...and I think that's finally done! It's a lot of work but worth it come mid-winter!
I wanted to wish everyone safe journeys! And I wanted to thank everyone for their help in answering questions the last couple of years!
We started packing last night (had "gathered" stuff prior but hadn't started). It did not go well!!! We were hoping between the 2 of us to only take one suitcase and one garment bag (plus a carryon each). We packed the suitcase and it weighed 68 lbs ! Not good. We gave up last night. We'll start again tonight--looks like we will have to bring a 3rd bag between the 2 of us which is surprising because I really really thought I cut back on clothes for this trip
I'm soooooo excited :yay: but starting to get nervous about the flight, jet lag and getting onboard quick enough to get Palo brunch (we arrive day of cruise and were hoping to do tour of city before boarding ship--now we're second guessing that decision). We're going to wing it when we arrive in Barcelona (nervous about that too!!) and decide what we do based on the time we arrive at the port. If we arrive before 1030 (flight lands 7:55 a.m.) we will grab a taxi and head to La Sagrada Familia (yeah! i wrote it right - last time I called it Sangria Familia ) or take the bus to Columbus statue and walk Las Ramblas. We'll see !!!
Can't believe it's finally here !!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Wow!!!! Part Ten!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:
Afternoon, everyone. Just back from my pre-cruise facial - I had a special CACI one (stands for Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument apparently!!! ) and, despite it not sounding at all relaxing, I loved it!!! I cannot believe the difference I can see already - and it should only continue to improve... :goodvibes I had just a one-off taster session today, but will definitely book up for a course when I'm back... ::yes::
Anyway, it's something to tick off my list and whilst there I made my nail and eyebrow appointments for Friday... DD Sophie is coming round tomorrow evening to do my pedi - her's are most definitely the BEST!!! :thumbsup2
Later today I plan to print off all relevant docs and organise my toiletries. That'll just leave make-up... ALMOST GOOD TO GO!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay:
Off to make a coffee and catch up with the thread... :surfweb:

This is our last day in Barcelona before we leave tomorrow morning for Girona. We´ll spend 2 nights there, visit the Dali Museum and then return to BCN Thursday afternoon. Today we spent the day walking in Barri Goti again. The old buildings and alleyways are fascinating. The weather is still very warm and sunny. Hopefully it keeps up for all of you coming soon.
El Cortes Ingles has everything you need, all American and European brands of cosmetics are available, so if you are having problems with luggage weight, shop in BCN.
Safe trip for all of you coming in the next few days.

Oh, lucky you. I love facials, and have actually had one of the CACI ones once. I feel relaxed thinking about it. Unfortunately my face is so sensitive these days even facials designed for sensitive skin starts it all off, so i have had to forgo them. However I hope to get a back, neck and scalp massage onboard. The scalp massage is sooooo relaxing too.

Jon
What a potential nightmare - glad it was sorted!!! Just gotta get it and yourselves to Barcelona!!! :thumbsup2
Now , I was going to go to bed for a few hours but my head is buzzing with all the stuff I have to do, going to pack, cause Im dreadingt hat the most then we will see.
Hope you were able to crack on with the packing, Lynne!!! Confront the demon!!! :goodvibes
Very late getting on the Dis this morning. I had such a good night's sleep and John let me sleep in till almost 9am, completely unheard so. Boy, I have so much to do I could have done with being up at 6am, but for sure I feel so much better!
Good for John!!! If you slept it, you needed it!!! Hope the day's going well and you're ready for it to be tomorrow... :flower3:
Well Dis Friends,

Seriously......I'm SO overjoyed at the sound of "only two more sleeps!"
Seriously......I'm SO excited the time is here and near!
Seriously......I'm SO thankful for all the big and small things you've all done to make this trip amazing!
Seriously......I'm SO looking forward to seeing some of you in just 57 hours!
Seriously......this will be one holiday to treasure and remember fondly for the rest of our lives! I'm certain of it!
Amen to all of the above!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:
Wishing a safe and easy journey (and that everyone's luggage comes in underweight) to all those leaving/left already.
Thanks for all the well wishes for my dd. She is much improved this a.m. and heading off to school. Boy the steroids really help.
So now I have two days to pack and get ready before we leave. The kids are excited. They really loved the trans last time.
Good to hear - hope you all have a safe and pleasant journey across the pond... :goodvibes
Well I am very excited to be heading across the Atlantic Ocean with you all - I've sailed many times before but I love all the extra entertainment on these longer voyages! Word has it that they have created new entertainment since the Eastbound TA.
Desperate Shipmates has a new plot and new characters! and I don't miss any of the clues!
See you all real soon!
Rudy Finkus
Look forward to seeing you, Rudy... :)
Well, we found out that Cruise Formalwear only had Marc's order for his tux and not mine! Hmpffff! I THOUGHT he wanted to have dinner together......
So, the black jacket and shoes stay home while the white jacket, Mickey cummerbunds, vests, ties, studs, and cufflinks get packed! I did NOT want to pack another pair of shoes!!
LOTS of running around today - making sure we have time to get the dogs to the kennel. At least 3 of them will think they're on vacation; No. 4, not so much.
Now, where did we put those suitcases?????
Michael
Ooooh the cheek of it!!! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Good luck with your packing and taking your dogs to their vacation home. ;) We have 3 four legged canine friends and, whilst 2 of them will be delighted to be back with their 'other family' in the delightful Kent countryside, one lady will be giving me LOTS of mournful eye contact on Friday morning...

IKWYM. ::yes:: I've been putting off having it as I was scared it would make my skin react - and superblotchy is definitely not a great cruise look for this (or any ) season. :teeth: But my lovely beautician gave me a patch test last week with no adverse reaction plus said she'd use very little product and let the electrical currents do their thing - which seemed to work fine.
I can't believe the results - I went in looking what I'd politely call "cream crackered" and by the time I got home, looked more like I had a week of great sleep!!! And that's before the cruise!!!

Hi everyone...won't be long now. I'm pretty much packed. Now I'm into panic mode. Did I pack too much? not enough? right stuff? etc I discovered one of my fancy formal/semi-formal tops had a stain, so into the wash it went. Now it has to dry before it gets packed again. Looking forward to see everyone in a couple of days.
I got called into work this morning, but the phone rang at 6:45 to report at 7:25, so I turned it down. Too much rushing around.

Sorry I just havent been able to keep up with this thread at all.
I hope everyone is nearly or finished packing and ready for their cruise :cool1:.
I still have quite a lot of packing to do, we are taking far too much, but I am one of the 'what if I need it' packer. Also we are at Disney for 2 weeks after as well.
Then its just the usual last few days routine, of cleaning the house, sorting out my Tortoise and making sure all the bills are paid.
Just wanted to wish everyone SAFE TRAVELS and will see you all at the meet on Saturday.
Also to those who are leaving early for Barcelona, I hope you have a great time. :cool1:

Just a little bit of good news. Well as good as it will get.
Our lovely neighbour who has terminal bowel cancer had his follow up scan last week to see how the strong chemo was doing. He has just been for the result and sent a text to us to say the primary(bowel) tumour hasn't grown, and that some of the cancerous liver cells have shrunk!! If nothing had improved, or the tumours actually grown, he would not be going to have any more chemo.
Anyway he is having a rest from Chemo to give his body time to recover, seeing the Oncologist in 6 weeks and having another scan in December. They hope to get away for a vacation to their holiday apartment on Cyprus in about a month. That was his first aim. Well done to him for reaching it. His second aim is to see his son graduate as a Doctor next year. He and his wife are amazing.
Anyway, just wanted to share. It was weighing on our minds a bit with us going away tomorrow and the results being today.

Day 4 of getting up early! 3:30a was hard to come by this morning. Thank goodness Walmart is open 24 hrs. We went shopping early this morning. DD kept asking why no one was there. It's 10a and everyone is down for their afternoon nap. They'll go to bed at 4p this afternoon. DH is having such a hard time. I think we might take some Tylenol PM to help me and him go to sleep.
Unfortunately, DS started in with a slight cough and runny nose. So, we are so praying he doesn't get what DD had with the croup. She's off the steroids now. I finished packing all but our last minute items. I really can't believe we fit everything! Although, with all our checkins and carryons we'll have 7 bags!! Thank goodness we had all the diapers and swim diapers delivered to our room. There's no way we could've fit 90+ diapers in a suitcase. Totally worth the money! Well, I'm going to get some stuff done during naptime. 3 more day till we leave!! YIPEE!! Can't believe our countdown chain is almost gone!!

I feel so much better seeing someone with as much stuff as we will have!!! Thank you.:rotfl2: Save journey and see you soon.
I think we will take the award for most luggage!!
I hope all goes well for you this time with your luggage!!
See you on the Magic!!

Thanks for the ehads-up on the cosmetics! I will be shopping in Barcelona for sure !!
Yes, she was given the new meds today so we're crossing everything she doesn't have a bad reaction to them. :sad2: She's not too good just now and I just don't know what to do to help her........*sigh*
Poor Becky .. she is definitely having a tough time of it. Hope those new medications work for her and she starts to feel a bit better as soon as possible. In the meantime :hug::hug: for you both.
Okay, packing is complete. We're both sort of confused though. We fit everything into one suitcase each. We had a large and a small one set to go but we've chucked the small one back to the closet. A small carry-on bag for each of us - can't forget the computer! - and we're set.
What were y'all worried about?????
(Okay, you'll see lots of the same shirts at dinners but.....)
Michael
Well done you on your disciplined packing .... can you pop around and do mine !!!
Pleased to hear thatyour neighbour had some positive news ... it must be such a difficult and worrying time for him and his family. Hopefully he will improve enough to get a way on that vacation.

Hi everyone.
:cool1:
Take care ,see you soon.
Still here for a few more hours anyway!! You have a safe and comfortable journey as well. See you on the Magic!!

Can't believe it is almost here. My insides are a bit knotted though.
Safe travels!!!! See you at the Ramble (on Friday)!

I am soooo excited for everyone leaving! The boards won't be the same! I will print out Navigators on Thursday - whether they have been updated or not so just come to Cabin 6511.
Also, I give the people adjusting their time all the credit in the world, but sometimes it is better to just go with the flow and just stay up in Europe if you arrive at 8 or 9 in the morning. Adrenaline and excitement are great for staying up!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
I don't know if the person who is going to Universal's Halloween Nights, but we were there many years ago and there was a rabbit walking around. My husband thought it was cute, the rabbit turned around and had a chainsaw going through his stomach and covered with blood. We left!!!
Our friend went last year, he is a male, went to the bathroom, and when he came out of the stall, Freddy from the Nightmare Movies was standing there waiting for him. I think I would have lost my lunch!!! It is definitely not a Disney event!

I found you guys! Tried to go to Part 10 without me!
Serious panic is setting in. Still a lot to do with work, still need to get the bags packed (though I have been through most of the close to decide what may be taken), need to print out useful information, and a bunch of other stuff.
This time tomorrow we should be able to check in for our first flight (to Philadelphia) as we hit the 24 hour mark.
We did get our dog's care schedule taken care of so that's some progress!

Mandy - hope things pick up for Becky and you can find some peace on the cruise. I often find "peace" in a large cocktail, so I`ll buy you one when I see you!
:grouphug: for those with last minute health issues.
Have a safe journey everyone :dance3:
We are packed, just need to sort the handbag, that has all the important bits - money tickets, passports. The cases came in at 16 and 19 kilos. We`ve one carryon plus a large empty carrier bag, I`ll pile stuff in there as we always gather up extra stuff at the airport.
Waiting for DD to get in then we`ll go out for dinner or I`ll go to the chippy as its a stinky night and probably no one will leave the house.
We leave tomorrow afternoon, the house gets a clean in the morning and then we are gone :dance3:

We leave tomorrow afternoon, the house gets a clean in the morning and then we are gone :dance3:
lol thanks I'll hold you to that!
Happy travelling and see you soon!:cheer2:

Well, we found out that Cruise Formalwear only had Marc's order for his tux and not mine! Hmpffff! I THOUGHT he wanted to have dinner together......
Michael
I'm so glad you posted this. It reminded me to check our order for DH tux. We never received a confirmation. Good thing I checked, they didn't have it, thanks :)
I love that video too .. have downloaded the music for my Ipod.
Few more jobs ticked off
$40 single dollar bills for tips ... check
phone credit card companies ... check
door magnets ..... check
book magical express ....check
we're getting there !!!!!
Thanks, I forgot dollar bills and to call the credit card companies
Also, I give the people adjusting their time all the credit in the world, but sometimes it is better to just go with the flow and just stay up in Europe if you arrive at 8 or 9 in the morning. Adrenaline and excitement are great for staying up!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
Honestly, that's the only thing that works for my crew, staying up after the flight.

Appologies all. The version is with Penny and I'm waiting on her to get the ipad version and normal version sorted. Sorry took down the others this morning as thought they were ready to go. Unfortunately they weren't. Ill reupload the old version and see if I can sort a magazine version as I think Penny is busy at the mo.
As for the ipad version, it should still be there! It was being hosted by Penny so not sure where its going. Will try to repost link too

I'm sure you'll get there...
OMG so true!!!! I am such a wuss - it's definitely not for me!!! One sunny afternoon in August 2008 I went into the regular Universal Studios Hollywood's "House of Horrors" and it freaked me out SO much, I knew I could never, EVER attend the Halloween Horror Night... :sad2:

Not sure, just normal ones I guess. I didn't know there were different sizes. I seem to remember ours being about 8 inches. Does that sound right?

Oh you don't need them. I believe some people have had their FE's stolen, so it has been recommended to use the cable ties to secure them to the fish. Mind you I guess someone could come along with scissors anyway, but it might deter an annoying passer by. The person who made my FE provided one with it, but of course it doesn't re use!!!

We get up at 2:30a tomorrow. If we didn't have two little ones (1yr and 4yr) we wouldn't be doing this time change thing. I just knew there was no way (especially my 1yr old) they would make it with an 8 hr time difference! It will be worth it in the end. They are actually doing really good, though!

Cable ties are the thin plastic strips that go through items and one end threads through like a watch strap, but pulls tight and won't come open. They're thin strips of plastic with little notches along them, they're pointed at one end, and at the other end is a small opening. you thread pointed bit through the opening and pull and they close tight, and can't be re-opened, you need to cut them. They're made from stong nylon, and are used for holding bunches of cables together.
Get them from the hardware store.

Good evening all!
I'm taking a break from packing - ack I hate it. Do I have too much, too little? Unfortunately the first suitcase closed weighs 54 lbs. I'm hoping the other cases are a little light so I can switch stuff around. Packing for kids is annoying, I just have to say: spare pants, spare shirts, two bathing suits each. And then there's me: wanting it all to coordinate, and having alternative outfits in case the weather is hot or cold. By the end of tonight I will have our suitcases all packed, and the majority of our carry-ons all ready to go. It's not been that much fun, this packing part.
Oh, and if you look at my sons with their dress-up clothes on please don't look down: I didn't have time to get nice shoes to go with their tuxes. Is that really bad? My toddler wore his WINTER BOOTS to our wedding last winter so I guess we have precedent. To be fair, he wouldn't put on his nice shiny black shoes, nor his tux jacket, and insisted on his tux shirt being open at the neck. At some point we just gave in and was happy he had any clothes on at all. We have some terrific shots of him that totally remind me of Owen Wilson, as a toddler, at a wedding. Ha ha.
Looking forward to seeing you all! I've been keeping up with the thread but have been slammed at work so haven't been able to respond.
We had 2 births in the night, then I had some home visits, and then we had our practice 6 year reunion. In between sips of coffee (thanks Starbucks!) I painted about 25 children's faces, then went home and had a nap at 5pm. I got up and spent some time with the kids watching 'RV' as that was all that I was capable of. And that was just Sunday! I am off off call tomorrow morning, so have the day to get our last things together.

This thread is so funny. It's like we're all in one big house packing for our trip and shouting from one room to the other.....
"Just packed the sun tan lotion"
"Have you printed out the navigator?"
"Is anyone bringing an umbrella??"
i keep expecting to read....
"Did i turn my hair straightners off???"

Anyone have any idea what kind of weather to expect while we're crossing the
Atlantic? I don't know if I should throw a few pairs of jeans and a sweatshirt in or not... My wife says weather.com is saying low 70's during the days.
Anyway... if you see six lunatics wandering around with hats that say "1 of 6", "2 of 6"... that's us. I believe I'm "4 of 6". Say hi.

Checking in...we are on our journey. Last night we spent in Spokane, WA and caught a 6:30 am flight to Ft. Lauderdale. Uneventful flight. Tonight we are definately relaxing at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites near the airport. We had a few glasses of wine during their free evening gathering here. We are now tucked into our room and enjoying just being on our way. We are officially on vacation!!! No meals to cook, dishes to wash, beds to make, floors to clean for a month!! :woohoo::dance3::yay: Tomorrow we drive to Miami and spend the night there, at another Hyatt Summerfield Suites. We Highly recommend this chain of hotels. Very nice! We are thinking we need to come back here for a week. :thumbsup2

Can I vent, steam and cry for a moment? Please feel free to pass this by, but - be warned dining is involved...
So, I think that I was doing a pretty good job of keeping it together. I packed for the 4 of us, I did the tastings (and all tickets were charged today!!), I did the FE, I am waiting to print out the navigators as I wanted to bring some extras, and I have the master list info from Glenn - so I can print them tomorrow at work.
Then I got the bomb shell... (OK skimmers, STOP and read!!)
Dining has changed AGAIN!!!!
I swear I am close to tears. I just got everything figured out and now BAMMO, it is changed. All I know is that the second formal night has changed. I don't have rotations - but I have asked for them... I could be wrong - maybe it is just the night of the formal night...
OK - yes, it is just the night of the 2nd formal night. It is now on night 7. I am beside myself. Nothing has been easy today! Nothing!!! I could just sit and cry right now!
My house looks like a bomb went off, Beccas teacher decided that she wouldn't send school work with her, and told me that she will get 5 days to finish 2 weeks of work (the week they are in and the week that we missed) which is totally different than what we were told last year. I am afraid of what Stephen will be up against and he is working so hard to keep his grades up. I am doing a send off lunch for one of my senior employees tomorrow. He is moving to Australia on the 1st and I won't be here for that. I am an emotional wreck! I really can't take any more. So I am sitting in the gym watching Becca flip all over and all I want to do is cry...
WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHH
Ok - pity party is over...

DON'T CRY!!!!! It is really not that important - don't sweat the small stuff. When we did the '07 TA, they told us one semi-formal. Well, during the week of the second, they said everyone enjoyed it so much, they added another. Everybody laughed. I still wore pants because I had nothing and lots of repeat dresses, but nobody cared, we were family for 2 weeks, there to have fun and spend time together. PLEASEEEEE!!! Don't cry - I will cry. Don't worry about the Navigators!!!! You are a terrific mom, wife and planner of the TA '10!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!;)

Sue, nothing really to worry or fret about. As I always say, don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff!
The day of the second formal really doesn't change anybody's plans as far as I can tell. We don't need to change our packing, we don't need to change our tastings, we don't need to change anything of importance. (On a purely personal, selfish note, I rather like the change - we'll be in Palo!)
You've done a great job; just roll with it.

Okay - breathe!!!! Actually I think most people will not care except for those that have booked Palo. Alot of people were surprised and thought it was kind of weird that both formal nights were placed on the rotation that you ended up being in the same dining room for both. This breaks it up and you should now have a formal night in two different places. Now what would be nice is if they actually scheduled semi-formal for the third but that would be thinking too hard. :lmao: I think most people either wanted to be in Lumiere's for formal night, Parrot cay for Pirate night or they didn't care any way.
I would tell the school that if she is only given 5 days to make up the work, you will keep her out of school an extra day just so she can work on it. That is what I would do.

My hubby said we have paid thousands of dollars for Disney to look after our entertainment why are we so busy doing other stuff:rotfl::rotfl:
He just does not get chat boards and what friends we have made. Whatever the rotation it will be ok. It is not the rotation, the events planned... it is meeting the people we have grown to know through the last 2 years.
That is what counts:hug:
Well my first ever FE is done :banana:
Hubby decided not to drive tothe airport on the day but to stay at a hotel right there. Makes sense but know what that means I have lost a night and a morning of organizing:scared1::scared1::scared1:
Well almost done.
Hugs everyone and remember to whistle while you work ( pack )

Thursday - a day of rest and thinking of all we will be doing. By that time there will only be 2-3 left on the boards - Candy Apple, Paul and Me!!!
I'll still be here! Leaving work at noon on Thursday to do last minute clean up at home. My sis-in-law (also on this trip) and I will be going for our mani/pedi at 3:30 and then meeting the guys for dinner! After that I may be able to sneak one more lurk/peak/post on the boards before bed....then again, I'll be soooo excited Friday morning I'll probably sneak a peak before we leave the house at 10:00 a.m. !!!!! I may be all by myself at that point! I think Paul is on the same flight I am out of JFK (5:40 p.m.) and I know Tom and his wife are on that flight as well. 2.5 days of work !!!!!!!!!! :yay::banana::cool1::cheer2:

It is pretty quiet tonight. You can tell people have started traveling and our European friends are warmly tucked into their beds - snoring!!!:rotfl2:

First, Sue, you are a wonder. We all love you and appreciate everything that you've done for us. I can't wait to meet you!! :grouphug:
Well, here I am still at work thinking of all the things I have to do at home.
Packing? Well, I took the luggage out yesterday......
Breathe, it will get done.
FE? Half done on the ironing board at home. Got a frantic call this morning to take my chronically ill mom to the doctor because she cannot sit or stand without excruciating pain. Diagnosis? Stenosis. RX: lots of drugs and bed rest. Lovingly told her to dope up and don't do anything strenuous until October 4 when I return home. My younger brother (an adult) and handicapped Dad will have to hold it all together until then.
NO guilt, no guilt, no guilt.
This trip is for our 25th anniversary and I have to take time for us for a change.
Sitter in place for our elderly dog at home. Oh, dog sitter has to be told that we just found out today that the street, sewers and our driveway will be removed over the next week. She's on her own when it comes to finding a parking spot in the subdivision.
NO guilt, no guilt, no guilt.
Breathe, it's going to happen.
Only two more days for catastrophes to happen.

Hang in there Lisa Marie!!! 25 years and you should be celebrating with your hubby. I always think, "how can the world fall apart in 2 weeks?" It won't. Hang in there and you will be in my prayers.

I have a question about the Secret Mickey. The mini navigator says to give the gifts at the farewell lunch. I thought we were delivering the gifts during the cruise and just revealing ourselves at the lunch. Does anyone have more information on this? Thank you.

I'm not an expert since this is my first Secret Mickey but my understanding is the same as yours - we deliver gifts during the cruise as little surprises.

:thumbsup2
I have called our DD and told our DS, don't call us with any bad news before Oct 2. Good advice I got from the DIS. :goodvibes
Have a safe flight and I'll see you on Saturday!:banana::banana:

We don't leave until Friday, but at least now I can say I've started the "lay everything on the bed in the guest room" prepack. I really can't pack until Thursday. It is just the way I operate! Time to look up more sunrise/sunset times.
I finally started packing!:thumbsup2I thought I was going to be able do just take one suitcase but it isn't going to work out!:sad1::sad1:
