Hello all
My wife Mary and I will be joining the cruise as well!
Great! I've already started with planning and buying things :) Is this your first cruise on DCL?
KayMouse
This will be our 2nd cruise. We booked this one during our first cruise a few weeks ago. I see from your signature that you will be doing a land / sea trip and you will be staying on-site - what a great idea! We are looking forward to the Food & Wine festival and the cruise!

Yeah! I'm hoping the 3 day isn't too short. I've heard that as soon as you get on, you'll want to rebook! I wish the Dream offered longer sailings, but maybe that'll come later :) and I can't wait for the Fantasy. I've been away from the World for too long! Also ready for the F&W Festival. Are you doing your land portion before or after the cruise?
We currently plan to spent the first part of the week at WDW and the Boardwalk Villas (stumbling distance to F&W) and then cruise to end the week. It's still a bit early to book our room at the Boardwalk (11 months in advance is the earliest for DVC). Last month we did a Land-Sea-Land vacation which was very nice. We might consider doing that again, depending on how our other vacation plans end up.
As you mentioned, the desire to book another cruise while on board is pretty strong. You do get a price break and some on board credits for the next cruise. There were times when the line for on board booking was pretty long, so I think the re-booking program is very successful.
I'm not familiar with the ASM abbreviation - it is All Star Music?

Hello, I'm new to the Dis I currently use the uk discussion board but I came on here to add myself to this cruise.
It is our first Disney Cruise and we are combining it with a stay afterwards at POR . It will be our third trip to a WDW resort hotel.
I have two sons aged, at the moment ,10 and 4. my younger son will be celebrating his 5th birthday while in Florida and we are planning to do the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove on that day.:woohoo:
Julied13 - Welcome to the DIS and to the cruise!

It's actually All-Star Movies, but I'm debating on switching to Port Orleans French Quarter if free dining or some other amazing offer comes out! Disney never usually fails me with that though, so here's to wishing some Pixie Dust on that :wizard:. And yeah, I heard about the price break onboard for rebooking! I was thinking about booking the Eastern Caribbean while we're there with a dummy date for 2012.

Honest mistake :) It happens to the best of us! I was thinking about adding another day at WDW after we disembark the cruise, just so we don't have to drive back to Georgia the same day! Would LOVE to get a good rate at POR.

I'm pretty sure we get different deals here in the U.K. I have free dining with my trip to POR:woohoo:. I did book my cruise with Dreams Unlimited though as it is definately cheaper for me to book via a U.S site.

That's what I'm hoping for! I'd be ecstatic to have free dining! I don't think DCL has any offers for 3 day cruises, besides OBC's. You guys in the U.K. get some GREAT offers before we even know about them! :( lol

Yeah, that's what I was thinking! If there ends up being a TON of rooms, I would assume we split them up into sections I.e.- you take 15 rooms, I take 15 rooms, etc, etc. Seems to have worked for some cruises! We'll just have to wait and see!

Not here, at cruise time I'll have, a 10 (daughter) and 5yr old (son). Even though my DD thinks she's a tween, I'm not ready for that!! ;)

We are staying at WDW prior to the cruise at Animal Kindom Lodge - Kidani Village from Friday night, October 7 until the morning of the cruise. This will be our third Disney cruise and our first on the Dream.

Hello all!! My name is Carrie Lynn and I'm tenative booked for this cruise! It is over my fall break from school next fall!! This is going to be the 2nd cruise for me. I went in May 2008 on the Wonder but my parents first cruise EVER. We went to WDW for a week for my 30th birthday this last December and it didn't turn out all that well so I was trying to stay away from Disney for a little while but it just never works : P I'm super excited but will be even more excited once I get the deposit paid!!
I do have a question... What is FE? I think is what it was.. Is that the Fish Exchange or soemthing like that? I did that on my last cruise and it was SOOOO much fun!! I loved it. There was about 15 of us and there was always something in the holder when we got back. I did mine the first night and it really helped with learning where things were on the ship!! Also we did a meeting and just had a great time. I think a couple of us met up at different times for karokee and such. FUN!!

Hi Everyone. This is my first post on DISboards. I've been a long time Intercot follower and just recently started following DISboards.
First Cruise and so much to learn. Been talking notes (I'm a planner) and finding some great info.
We are also having a Disney Vow Renewal onboard for our 13th anniversary on this trip. BFF & her DH coming as well & theirs is October 14th (the day of my vow renewal). Can't think of a better way to spend our anniversaries.
My family has been visiting WDW since 1973, DH family since 1975 - now we do it together of course. Minimum of two weeks a year, sometimes sneak in a long weekend trip too.
DVC at Bay Lake since Dec 2008. Loving it!
Would like to participate in FE.

Hello!!!!!
We are taking our 1st Disney cruise this fall on the Dream. Very excited about it!!!! The family found out a Christmas that we were going on a cruise, we were booked on October 20th but I just had to move it due to a school schedule change.
We are Dd who will be just 11 and Dh and I. We live in West Michigan and visit WDW as often as possible. I am hoping to squeeze in a quick WDW food and wine festival stop before our cruise but Dh isn't onboard with that yet.

hi MandiB!!!! I'm going to be at Pop from Oct 9 to 13 : ) We are going to go over to Busch Gardens and only get one day at the parks : ( But I'm still excited!! We are going to go to MNSSHP the night that we return! It is AWESOME and my parents first cruise and Halloween Party!!
I have been on the same iten but on the Wonder a couple of years ago. I know that there are a few good excursion. Especially in Nassau. I took the Nassau city tour on the last one and that was REALLY fun. I know that alot of people really like just self guideing to the pirate museum but there is a GREAT one that had a combination of the city tour and a botanical gardens that is wonderful I've heard. We are going on the dolphin encounter but if for some reason that one falls through we are DEFINATLY going on the city tour/gardens tour. I don't know if you have ever been to Nassau but it is very historic and with the city tour it give more then just the view of the market and a few other shops. There is also the Atlantis. It is a beautiful hotel but I would just go and look around because it is not worth the money that you pay for the dolphin experience or the pool access. There is another beach getaway that is in the same area as the other dolphin experience and that is definatly the best way (beside going off on your own) to get beach access...
At CC I know that the stingray feeds are very popular! The last time I road a bike around the island and that is VERY fun. You get to go to areas that unless you walk to them you cant get to any other way! There is also an observation tower that when you climb to the top you can see the entire island!

Well i have started on the FE gifts for the kids. I am all but done with theirs and starting to get a few things for the adult ones! I'm so excited that I am accually getting a pretty good head start on this one. Last time I was getting things the night before! It was a MESS !!
---------------------------------
OK Since Mandi told her plans i am going to share mine. We are staying at POP from Oct 9th to the 13th. We are driving so we should arrive early on the 9th (Well about noon) We are going to check in and go to the Aribian Nights dinner show that evening The 10th we are going to go to Busch Gardens ( I was originally going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter but since my family are on the larger side and none of us are really into roller coasters and such I'm afraid that we might not have enough to do there SOOOOO my mom really wanted to go to BG so that is where we are going) The 11th we are just going to relax ( Most of the time I'm not a huge fan of this as I like to plan especially at Disney but we are really going to need this day as I'm a full time student as is my mom so things get crazy) The only thing that I'm even thinking about is catching Cirque that night but we will see closer to time if we really want to go. The 12th we are going to the parks. Mostly Epcot as that is my favorite but we might start off at MK and then go over as we have hoppers. Also my bestie Dawn and her husband will be arriving this day so I don't have a clue what they are going to be doing or when we might meet up) The 13th we have a REALLY early breakfast and then heading to port!! Then the cruise. On the 16th (disembarkation day) we are going back to POP and to MNSSHP that night!
_____________________________
Dinning
We don't have as many ressies as we normally do but in my opinion enought
The 12th we have breakfast at Whispering Canyons and dinner at Garden Grill. The 13th we have breakfast at Captains Grill and the 16th we have a early dinner at the Plaza!

Sorry, I can't comment regarding shore excursions in Nassau. We plan just to stay on the ship.
I'll certainly miss attending MNSSHP this year. We have a ball at that party each and every time. Best firework display to boot! Lucky dawgs! If you are thinking about it - I have to say to do it. It's worth the cost and time. ::yes::
Mary and I will be arriving on Sunday 10/9 and staying at the Boardwalk Villas prior to the cruise. We are looking forward to enjoying the F&W festival right next door!
We haven't thought much about shore excursions at Nassau for this trip, but I'm definitely not going to allow the same thing as our last visit - spending way too much money at the various jewelry stores! Damn those blue diamonds! It would have been way cheaper to take my whole dinner table to go swim with the dolphins!
After the cruise we will go back to the Boardwalk for a bit and possibly MNSSHP (never did that before).

PSC- That sounds like alot of fun! I would love to stay at the Boardwalk just during the F&W!!! I use to work at Disney in reservations and I will tell you that was DEFINATLY the most popular resort. I figured that it is due to being able to walk back to the hotel and not worry about getting on a bus after drinking all day! ( not that it is your case but that is my personal hypothisus) That is why I want to stay there. Also you HAVE to make it to MNSSHP!! It is very different. I love (even at my age) to dress up and trick or treat! There are also alot of characters that you dont' get to see except for the parties and the "normal" characters like Mickey and Minnie are in their costums making those pictures even more special. I have been four times and each one is even better then the last! I would definatly suggest it!
VAgal - Why are you staying on the ship???? I'm just wondering. It looks like you have been on quite a few cruises so you might have been a couple of times before but this will be my 3rd time to Nassau and I still love it! I love to go barter with the people in the market and learn about the culture. This is also my parents and best friend and her husbands trip to Nassau so that might be another reason to get out and explore but I love it. So I just wanted to get your opinion. I'm just curious. I know that the Dream is a new ship and I don't blame you for staying and exploring, part of me wants to do the same thing. No bashing just wondering : )
Cherylp - I'm jelious! I wish I still lived in Orlando!!

Carrie Lynne - you caught me! I admit to successfully completing "Beers around the World" with my 21 year old niece on my last visit to EPCOT. Even I'm not foolish enough to attempt a drink at all of the extra kiosks during F&W (not that I could afford the circuit). We have been fortunate enough to stay at the Boardwalk during F&W before and you are right - it is great! I just booked my MNSSHP tickets today - for one of our days after the cruise. Glad to hear your positive report - it sounds like fun!

MOdisneyfan - That's EXACTLY why I stay BWV/BWI for F&W. So I can just stumble back to my room. :rotfl2: I screwed up this year and missed my 7 month window to book BWV. I'm at AKV but waitlisted for BWV...still nothing, but something could pull through at the last minute. :rolleyes1 I'm actually not big into shopping unless it's something specific. If it were the Wonder I'd probably entertain going to a casino or hanging out at Atlantis. I've been waiting a long time for the Dream. I'm going to enjoy every minute. I prefer to get off the beaten path, which prob isn't wise in Bahamas. Just looking to chill this go around, it's been a very stressful year for my DH and I. The bars are open, the pool will be less crowded, etc.
It's official, we are signing up to the FE. This will be my first go at it. I need something fun to focus on until October.

LOL... I'm so excited that you are going to MNSSHP!! It is so much fun!! you HAVE to dress up ( well you don't have to but it makes it that much more fun) The last time I went with my bestie, roomie and 2 other friends from across the pond, we went as mouseateres! It was fun and EASY. My friend just ironed on our names in black letters to the front of the shirt, we wore black pants ( shorts, capris, what ever fits) and the basic black mickey ears! It was SO easy! I'm thinking about doing that again this year but I'm also thinking about going as a princess!! LOL

LOL.. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get BWV!!! Much closer and easier to stumble back! That is my favorite thing about the cruise too.
I don't blame you one bit! If it wasn't for the fact that we are hoping to go swim with the dolphins and my mom wants to do some shopping I would probley not leave the ship either. It is like with RCL and the Allure or Oasis of the Seas. They ships are getting SO big that you want to experience and see everything. You are almost paying just to be on the ship and not the accual ports anymore. I think that is awesome!! Make sure to fit in soe AquaDuck time. I have heard on some TR that it was still a wait but wasn't bad at all in port! So enjoy it!! : )

OH I was also going to see if anyone wanted to meet up while onboard? I hope that it gets a little more active around here the close we get to date but I have a cute idea! I thought we might meet up and do a scavenger hunt even if it a photo one. Like give clues and you have to go take a picture with it or of it and then you come back and we look at them and then those that find the correct items wins a small prize!! I think it might be a fun way to see the ship and get to know one another. What does everyone thing?

I was wondering about a meet up as well. I know the group is still kind of small so a scavenger hunt could work. That's always fun. :thumbsup2

LMAO. That would ROCK if they finally came up with something like that! Maybe open at 9am instead of 11 each day and only people on certain decks could go durning that time and then the rest is open. I don't think in Oct we are going to have a problem but it still might be a cool idea....
I had posted about one earlier but no one really said anything so I thought maybe if it was more then just a meet then maybe more people might get involved. I can work on the hunt clues and see what I can come up with

Same here! Concierge told me to book it since they go like hot cakes and that I could cancel if I changed my mind up to 3 days prior to sailing at no charge. We are still debating the whole is the cabana worth the price here also. :confused3 The positives that I see: the private, beach front area & I will *actually* get to relax on a hammock (several cruises and never actually got one before!). With the construction of the beach cabanas it looks like the family beach expansion got eaten up by this project along yet they added a lot of people on the new ship. That has me a little concerned as it never felt crowded to us before. I was always able to find a shady spot because most people are sun worshippers. ;) The pictures I've seen and wow - the family beach looks much busier. Otherwise, we've never had any issues with getting our bike rentals or waiting for lunch. We typically have our own water to start our beach day and just replenish on the island. I'm a sunscreen-o-holic. It's nice they include it, but I always have a stash in my bag. So I'm paying $$$$ for a little less crowded beach area, being able to relax in a hammock and not having to lug a bottle of water for everyone in our bag. Wondering if those items alone are worth the cost. :confused3
MoDisney - Most definitely you should be able to book at the 90 day mark for repeat cruiser if paid in full. I've never had an issue with the system. :thumbsup2

Congrats on getting what you want. We are not planning to do much for excursions, more of a relax, lay around type of trip. Very unusual for me. :rotfl: Right now I am on the fence about squeezing in MNSSHP. We loved it when we did it in 2008 and it would let us have a night at MK. I don't know.... Maybe if a decent room discount code is released we could spend the night and do the party.
Mary and I are going to try the wave runners while we are at Castaway Cay. It's kind of expensive to get two, but we are both experienced motorcyclists and neither of us was willing to sit on the back - just like on our bikes!
I was a little surprised to see availability for dinner at Palo and Remy. I think I'd like to see the "regular" restaurants this cruise. I'm especially interested in seeing the Artists Palate and the upgrades from the Wonder/Magic.
MODisneyfan

I noticed that too.. There were alot of time slots left but I'm guessing that since it is a new ship that people are wanting to try out the restaurants that is why I didnt' want to book. I have looked at the menus and they all sound so good! Also Palo's is on every ship where as Remy's isn't so more people are going to pay that extra to do something that is special to that ship! I know that I was thinking about it for awhile myself. I've been to Palo's on the wonder and WAS NOT impressed and thought that it was trully a waste of money

2 MONTHS FROM TODAY WE SET SAIL!!! I'm so excited.. I hope all of you are too.. I wish that we would all start talking more : ( I would love to get to know everyone but no one is really chatty.. So I'm going to start
HI My name is Carrie Lynn. My parent and I are going to be on this cruise. We are all from Pleasant Hope, Missouri.. A small town of 500 people a little north of Springfield. Even though I'm 30, I'm a student at Missouri State University in Springfield. I'm going for a degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management. My parents are also in school as we are trying to reasses thing. I love dolphins so I'm extatic about going on the dolphin excurion in Nassau!! This is my 3rd cruise, 2nd with Disney and my parents first. I think that they are going to be surprised how large the ship is. My dad was calling it a boat and we had to correct him : P Before the cruise we are going to spend a couple of days in Tampa at Busch Gardens and a day at Disney going between MK and EP. The daythat we return we are going to MNSSHP that I am trying to find a princess dress to wear for! Anyways, I hope that we are all able to have a great trip and atleast get to know one another!

Trisha - you are all set up for the FE. Welcome aboard!
Per Carrie Lynn's request, My name is Scott and my wife is Mary. This will be our 2nd cruise - the first one was on the Wonder for our 30th wedding anniversary last year. We won the pirate trivia contest on our last cruise! In real life I work as a software engineer for large telecommunications companies, and Mary is a scientist for Colgate-Palmolive. For fun we are both experienced motorcyclists and we also teach motorcycle safety courses. We'll be staying at the Boardwalk Villas for a few days before and after the cruise, and are looking forward to enjoying the food and wine festival.

HI Scott!!! WOW 30 year ( well probley 31 by now) My parents have also been married 31 years... I'm not going to be asking you any pirate trivia you would probley kick my butt at that!! LOL.. You and Mary have such fun jobs it sounds!! I use to want to be a marine Biologist. And my Chem teacher kept trying to convince me to go into Chem but it never worked out as I didn't know exactly what I was going to do with it!! But that sounds like fun.. I think it would be better to work at like Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream company in VT.. Get to make all those different flavors. That would be ALOT of fun atleast to me.. LOL.. I have heard that a few of the islands have motorcycle tours... Have you looked in Nassau? That would be fun.. You just rent one for the day and you just ride around.. I think that would be alot of fun especially if it was somewhere that you have been to before. Get out of the tourist area into the REAL island!! i've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk.. I don't really like the Pool though. The huge Clown freaks me out : P I love the food and wine festival. It is one of my favorites!! LOVE IT.. I enjoy the additional countries that are represented and that you can have Chedder Cheese Soup without having to make a dinning reservation : P The wine isn't that much for me as I don't really drink all that much.. I'm sure I will get a konk cooler at Castaway and a sail away drink!! But that is probley about it... I have to laugh as my mom is just like that but she is SO excited to get one of those fruity drinks with the umbrella for the sailaway partyMy mom don't get excited over much but she is DEFINATLY excited for this trip!!!!!

Good Mickey Morning!!!! Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend!! Mine was CRAZY.. I am taking a pre-Accounting class that starts today so I was trying to get things organized like my room, book bag, ect.. Well I got my room and laundry done but that was about it : P AND on top of that I was taking my shower and my mom runs in and one of our cats are having kittens. Last time she lost all 6 of them that she had but this time she seems to be doing much better. She only had 4 ( 2 yellow and white, 1 calico and 1 all white) But they are so small that I don't know if they are going to make it or not but we will see...
So how is everyone doing on the cruise front? Have the shore excusions been made? What ya doin? What about dinning? Did you get your palo reservation or di you have to try to get one onboard?
So I thought I would ask another getting to know you question - What is one interesting fact about you? I have quite a few.. 1) I use to work for the Disney Travel Company in 2008 and it was one of the best jobs I ever had. 2) I have auditioned for a number of years (2005-2007 3 seasons) of American Idol and have made it to the next to last round once!!

I don't know how many pictures I am going to be taking on a 3 day but I know that is a good deal as I think the 5x7's are like 12.00 or something on the cruise.. I THINK.. So Don't get angry if I'm not correct. That makes it 6.67 each for the 30 pics (that seems a little much for 3 days though) and then there are the 20 that equals up to be 7.45 a picture for the 5x7's! I really wish that they had more of a photopass system like they do at the park where you could add your park and cruise pictures onto one CD. That would be AWESOME!!!!!!

Carrie Lynn, This trip is a one bedroom with MK view. I've had it before and it was awesome. Nothing like having a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub and see out the window to the castle. It's using up all my 2012 points but I don't mind. Next year I'll just pay cash and stay at the Poly. Everyone in my party all got 11am as well. Hopefully we can enjoy a full day of fun onboard before we set sail.

o...m...G!!! That would be AMAZING. I told my mom but ofcourse she wasn't as excited!! that is AMAZING!!! Have I mentioned that is amazing : P That acually sounds perfect right about now. I might look into getting into DVC. I don't know much about it but we spend so much money on trips every year it would be nice to know that we would already have the room paid for and we could also go to other destinations like Hawaii!

For some odd reason at 11:30pm it dawned on me all the stuff that I need to get done before heading out in 53 days!!! I have a 2 page to do list. I wanted to get it all done over the summer cause I'm taking 18 hours at school this semester.. This is going to be a stressful 54 days!

Using all your 2012 points?! Sounds to me like you need more points!
Do you think you will be doing an add on during the cruise?

PSC, probably not going to add on points this year. If I do, I'll wait until after the divorce so I don't have to fight for my DVC. Hopefully he will realize he can't afford the payments and let me have what we own now.
Also, I can probably start tagging along with my brother and his family on some of their WDW trips. They are DVC too. My dorm mate from college lives in Orlando and I have cousins in Sarasota. I am GM at a hotel and have a lot of hook ups in the industry. I have plenty of options.

Wow! My list is very short. I've had my FE stuff taken care of for a few months now and I made a res at Remy. Other than that, it's throwing clothes in the suitcase, stopping at the liquor store and making my way to the ship.

I was hoping to get there super early but I guess that they are starting to board at 11:30 now and the boarding passes are based on your arrival time so if I say 2pm and I get there at 11am I might end up with a very late boarding pass! There is a thread somewhere and it sounds like things are ok and starting to get better. Now that more and moer people know about it and can plan around what the best time to go would be it will get even better. I like the idea because instead of getting large groups of people at one time they are going to have people filtering in at like 11am and then They have 30 mins to get them boarded and get the next group checked in and boarded. In the busy months it would probley be busier but I think for the "off" season that it should be fine..
Is anybody else using Disney transportation from a Disney hotel to the ship? When I went to register I was asked for my approximate arrival time for a boarding group, but I don't know what time Disney will get me to the port. I think it is sometime after noon, but shouldn't DCL know I'm using their transportation and pre-check the appropriate box for me? I think I'll just choose a time and let the chips fall where they may.

I would call DCL. There are usually certain times but I know that they have been changing things. You need to now give them a time that you want to be picked up and it takes about a hour to hour and 1/2 to get over to the port. If it were me and there was more then one person I would look into getting a rental. It is usually about 100 for both days and it is much easier to get up and rent a car take it to the port and then take the shuttle then anything. JMO.

Hello. I haven't posted in a while. We just had two weeks in Menorca in the Mediterranean (it's a Spanish island:confused:). So now that's over I am all in planning for our trip to the U.S.:cheer2: We are flying in to Orlando international on the 12th and taking the Disney transportation to the port on Thursday. After the cruise we are taking the transport over to POR for 13 days. My youngest ds celebrates his 6th birthday on the 18th so we are doing Discovery Cove that day.
I've never cruised before but I love all things Disney and had to give it a try.
I am so excited about the Dream!!
I am afraid the craft gene passed me by:confused3 but I still have some sweet stuff for the FE.
Should I be doing my online check-in this early for the cruise?

I see a message on the DisBoards main page that is titled Watercraft ski adventure cancelled at Castaway Cay ( http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-port-castawaycay.cfm#excursions). The link has a message that says:
As of September 30, 2011, the single and double watercraft ski adventure will no longer be offered. This may return at a future date.
I understand DCL hasn't removed the booking for those of us who booked the watercraft ski adventure yet, but it should be removed soon.
I may have to spend more time and money at the bar that originally planned! :cool1:

I was following your other thread - did you end up having to pay $250 each to upgrade?
For the 2 rooms that were 9A GTY we did pay the $250.00 upgrade, but for my moms room she was in 8C so her's wasnt that much to upgrade. We are so very happy with the new rooms, (I mean don't get me wrong I'm sure we would have been fine in the other rooms, but when you pay this much we should get what will really make us happy) well within reason i guess, I mean if that was the case I would be staying in the Suite..:rotfl: but that will never happen... (can't afford it) So we decided that upgrading to the Verandah room would be a great bonus for the kids and they were able to get all our rooms beside each other so that was even better. ( My mom & Dad are disabled) so this will help make it easier on all of us. (originally they were on the 5th floor and we were on the 6th)
So how did you like the room 7170? I seen it has an obstructed view, was it really bad? This is mom & dads so I'm sure they will be happy with anything. Dad says a storage closet will work for him.. :rotfl: Just as long as he is on the ship.

I'm sorry that you had all the trouble with cabins, but you're gonna love having a verandah! We slept with the verandah doors open and were in heaven.
The obstruction in 7170 covers almost the whole left panel of the windows/door and the top of the middle panel. However, we found that by moving the curtains from the right side to the left side, the obstruction was almost hidden and we had a great view out the other 2/3 of the windows/door! (There's a hook & loop type clip at the top that anchors the curtains to the right but it's fairly easy to unhook once you see it and we had no problem hooking it back in before we left either.)
Also, if they didn't tell you, 7170 has a connecting door with 7168 and the verandah wall can also be opened up to connect.
Oh, and we loved the location... right next to the elevators that go up to Cabanas!! :woohoo:

I am so excited. It is just two weeks from today when we will make it to Florida. Broadwalk and Animal Kingdom are waiting for us :goodvibes Then we will be getting onto the Dream. This will be my husband and I first time on the Dream. We have sailed before on the Royal Carribean and it was wonderful. But this time we will have our two daughters, their husbands, four granddaughters and one grandson, and one special granddaughter from Germany(Exchange student) with us. Just, the thrill of all of them here together on this Dream Boat makes a Dream come true for my husband and me. My husband became disabled a year ago and we are enjoying spending time with him making him happy.:love::love: See all of you really soon.

Sherrie - not a problem for me at all. As you've all probably noticed by now - I'm not much of a speller or typist!

I'd be game for that! Anyone else? I could see if we can meet in one of the public spaces. I'd say my room, but hubby doesn't know what room we have. I like to give him a heads up that a small gathering would happen in our room but that might blow my cover. Dang nabit!
So, tell me - who is bringing their dancing shoes?

However, if we make it, it will probably be all of us... my kids are 22, almost 17, and 11 going 20... they'll be up way later than DH & I!! (Although we both have promised to do our best to stay up past 11!) :rotfl2:

We woke up Friday morning to rain and it didn't stop until we were almost at Disney! (We had to renew our passes and get DH's pirate costume.)
On the boat from the TTC the captain said they had worked some Disney magic and turned the dun back on for us. ;)
We've lived here for over two years now and this is the first time it has rained for days on end like this since we've been here - honest! There's usually just quick thunderstorms in the afternoon or somethings into the evening, but never in the morning and/or all day!!!
The good news it, it hit now rather than on our cruise weekend! :worship:

Hope everyone had a great time despite the weather. Back to reality all too soon!
Thank you to all those participating in the FE Exchange. I very much enjoyed leaving treats and everyone enjoyed finding the surprises. I know it was a bit more difficult getting to my room. I didn't consider the gate. :upsidedow I found out pretty quickly that the CMs in the lounge will take them or let you deliver to the room. They think it's pretty fun, too, so it's no bother at all.
Sorry for the late arrivals for few participants that had teens. :flower3: Errr, we had technical difficulties.

Welcome home everyone!! Thank you all for all the wonderful gifts!! All of us loved everything so much!!! Hope you enjoy everything we gave and i hope everyone enjoys their calendar magnets, just a reminder for all of us next year of all the fun we had on the ship!! Sorry to hear that some of you had problems with your fish extenders... It was a little crazier on this ship than any sailing weve been on before. We actually walked up 3 different times to teenagers taking things from our pockets.. Very disappointing. But we still had a great time! (Not sure which one left the Tshirt for Aiden but I swear that was the cutest thing ever) Everyone had such great ideas. There was not one gift that we thought wasnt wonderful! This group was awesome!!

I'm sorry to hear about the teens taking stuff from your FE. The only thing we ever came across was two teen girls taking pictures of our FE and magnets and they were embarrassed that we "caught" them! Then again, we wouldn't know if anything went missing as we didn't exactly keep track! :goodvibes
Glad you liked the Tshirt for Aiden - we weren't sure on the size!
And we LOVE the magnets - Thank you!!!

Thanks everyone and to PSC for putting the fish extender list together!!! Dd had so much fun checking her FE bag all the time. We had such a great time Dh agreed to book another one while we were on board. Sounds like mid 2013 we will be back once we decide what sailing we want to move our dummy date to.
I hope you all had wonderful cruises!
