I was faced with this same problem two years ago.
I had 4 adults and an 8 year old in the party.
While I would have liked to stay at a moderate for the better pools and extras that they offer.
We decided that have two connecting rooms at All Stars would be better because:
1. It would offer us more floor space and 4 beds.
2. It would give us 2 bathrooms.
And when you are trying to get out in the morning with 4 adults having two bathrooms is a life saver.
Of course we had stayed at All Stars before and have no issue with the rooms or the service. The pools are nice there, they just don't have a slide.
The 8 year old of course loves the All Star Sports hotel.

Hi! With a 17 and 13 year old, I would go with two rooms at the AS resorts. Two bathrooms, and more space would certainly make me happier. :) That would also give each of your DSs his own bed, and you a little more privacy.

LOL, Mrs.Dash! I'd say that you have just described ASMovies. My Sis stayed there with her family in Dec. They were in Toy Story on the ground floor. Their room was super clean (I checked it out ;)), and really Disney. My boys are only 5 and 7, but I understand the need for some privacy.
Have a wonderful trip wherever you rest your head!

As previously mentioned, having two bathrooms is a major convenience. It doesn't matter how many a room will sleep if there's a line at the bathroom.
