Hi everyone! I've been reading some of your PJ's so I think it's time for me to start my own. I will hopefully be adding some pictures on in a few days to make it a little bit more exciting. :goodvibes

Bry and I have been dating for a little over 5 years. We have been through our ups and downs but have always come out stronger in the end. He is truly my best friend and I feel so lucky to be with him.

This past July we went to Disney for our vacation. Disneyworld is my favorite place on earth. I have gone there pretty much every year since I was like 3. On July 19, 2010 Bry and I went to Magic Kingdom. We got there first thing in the morning and when I asked where he wanted to go first he said we could start with checking out the castle. Now I luv to take pics so as we are standing in front of the castle he points out that taking a picture of Main St. from the castle would make a nice picture. I turned around and started snapping away. When I turned around there he was on one knee proposing! :lovestruc:lovestruc I was absolutely speechless and elated.

He knew how special Disney has always been to me and he made my dream come true. As a little girl I had always daydreamed of getting proposed to at Magic Kingdom and than getting married in Disney. Now here I am years later and my dreams are coming true!!!:cloud9::cloud9: After he proposed I tested the waters and asked..well what would you say about having a Disney Wedding? To my surprise he said it wouldn't be any other way. :banana: I really do have a wonderful DF. I'm a lucky girl!

Hi again! I was able to add some pics. My planning has started. :cool1: As of now we have a tentative date for November 1, 2011 at the Wedding Pavilion! :yay: Unfortunately we have to wait 2 more months to make anything official. At first we kept going back and forth btw an escape or wishes package. As of now it looks like we are doing wishes. When we did the math for the escape with the upgrades we wanted the difference in cost wasn't that much. We are also thinking of doing a DP. yey :banana:

One thing that I do definitely have is my wedding dress. :yay: My mom and I went dress shopping and the 2nd I tried it on I fell in luv. I can't wait to wear it! :love: Here's a pic from their website.

That's awesome I'm glad to hear that someone else has had a good experience with him. I did contact David & Vicki they seemed very nice. However compared to the package that I will be hopefully booking soon with Randy it was a bit pricey. The package with Randy also includes videography. I'm just waiting on the videographer to get back to me so that I can book them.

I've also decided on my colors...I think..hehe Since it's going to be a fall wedding I'm thinking of going with a nice apple red and a burnt orange (my DF fav color.) However I saw this beautiful navy blue. I would love to hear from you guys if you think there's anyway of me incorporating it or if it would look 2 weird or outta place.

Also I think I found dresses for my bridesmaids. Well there are only going to be 2 of them..my sis (MOH) and my best friend (bridesmaid)

They were thinking either the halter or the strapless tea length one. So we are going to see how an apple red dress with a burnt orange sash or in davids bridal terms it's cognac. I was than thinking that my mother's dress could be the cognac color. So that's as far as I've gotten.

Great start! I LOVE those dresses from DB with the peekaboo colors. I originally wanted to go with those for my wedding party so the girls could choose their own dress styles but still coordinate - but when I decided to just have a MOH I scrapped the idea. I think the dresses are so cute though!

I love the burnt organe idea for a fall wedding... but I'm obsessed with all things pumpkin, so that might make me biased!

If you're considering navy I love the look of navy blue with bright pink. I have also seen navy and yellow done well. After I'd chosen my colors I gave navy and pink a bit of a wistful look! :rotfl:

My last thought on colors is that for a FL wedding, the weather down there is so sunny and beautiful for so much of the year, I sort of feel like you can't go wrong with ANY colors, whatever time of year!

You're right about probably any color looking right. I'm soo torn. I kinda wanted the red just because Idk i always envisioned a beautiful red bouquet for me. But than i was messing around on the davids bridal site and red and blue look gorgeous but so do the orang and blue and all these other combos..maybe i should just do a rainbow :lmao:

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd give a lil update. As of today I officially have a photography and videography package for my wedding. :banana::banana: I'm going with Randy Chapman. I'm excited. The package was very affordable and I've seen his work and it looks wonderful. :banana:

It feels good because it feels like I'm moving things along. I've been feeling kinda stuck since I can't really make anything official for another 2 months. :sad2:

On another front I'm also feeling stuck in deciding my wedding colors. I feel like i've been driving my sis and best friend insane with my changing my mind. When I first became engaged my colors were going to be pink (my fav color) and purple. But than I thought fall colors would look nice since it's a fall wedding. But then I started thinking is that to cliche? And than I really liked blue..but now I'm thinking back to pink. I should just spin a color wheel huh? How did everyone pick out their wedding colors? For now I've vowed to be colorless. :lmao:

Just a lil update on what I've been up to. Today my sister (MOH) my best friend (bridesmaid) and my mom all went to look for bridesmaid dresses. They tried a few on that were really cute but they all want to keep looking before they make their choice.

On the bright side I picked my color scheme...maybe...jk..I hope. :rotfl: Seriously though I'm going back to my original choice of pink,purple and silver. However instead of pastels its more like fuchsia and a royal purple. I saw the colors together today when we went dress shopping and they looked so nice. Yey for progress. :cool1:

So for now that's where I am. I've been feeling a bit anxious lately about waiting to sign the contract and make it official. I keep praying that no conventions come along and take my date. I also hope that no other bride does either. I was wondering how that works. If someone else comes along that wants the same time and date and places are we in a lottery or is that only at the 16 month mark? I'm really happy with what I'm penciled in for and don't want to have to move it. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :flower3:

You are exactly like me with the colors! OMG, I change my mind everyday almost, my fiance says he's going to tally whenever I change my mind and by the time we get to officially planning everything, whatever I said the most we would pick, haha. But seriously, I wanted fall colors, bc I want a red rose bouquet, but he didn't like that. So we decided on red, white and black, bc we want our mad hatter cake to match our colors, but then we decided we didn't want that either. I keep trying to have pink be in there somewhere, but I get a big fat no from Chris, haha. So as of now, we are doing red and light blue. With red flowers, blue MOH dress and red, light blue and white on our mad hatter cake. So, your blue idea is right where I am, so I like that idea! haha. But I also like fall colors, it's my fav time of year, and don't think it's too cliche, if that's what you really want. There are so many choices it's hard not to change your mind, haha.

Hi everyone. So I've been looking around for my wedding shoes. I've been having some trouble finding what I have in mind in any store. I know I want them fuchsia and a peep toe. I need to get my shoes first in order to have the measurements done on my wedding dress and have it ordered. That's part of my confusion. I want heels because DF is 6'2 and I'm 5'0. But I want to try and find something relatively comfortable for a few hours. Than its on to flip flops at the reception..except when we slow dance. I have to be able to have my head on his shoulders. :rotfl:

Originally DF and I had agreed that we were going to honeymoon at WDW. Stay there a week after our wedding. So today I was talking to one of my co-workers who is going on a cruise and was sounding so excited about it. It got me thinking that I would really like to go on the Disney cruise. I had brought this up earlier on and DF wasn't to sold on it because he didn't want to be surrounded by a lot of kids on our cruise. So I looked into it more today and found out about all the adult only aspects of it. I presented it to my DF along with the brochure portion that talks about adult only experiences :teacher:.. and he agreed!!! I'm soo excited. :cheer2: So we are going to spend a few days after our wedding at WDW and than we are planning on going on the DCL. Yey!! I can't wait to book it. I just want to wait to sign the LOA and make it official before I start booking honeymoon stuff. So that's my update for now. I'm currently in countdown mode to sign my LOA. I can't wait! :hourglass

Oh that's so cool! We haven't decided yet. As of now it looks like the 4 night Bahamas cruise, but we wanted one that was a little longer. However we have to figure out with our work schedule if we can take time to do that. Keeping fingers crossed for the longer one. :lmao:

Your dress is gorgeous! I love all of the shoes but I think I like the 2nd ones best! You cannot go wrong on a Disney cruise. You can see kids as little or as much as you want. They do a great job catering to the adults on board as well.

Ok so I've been home sick :sick: all day. I've spent most of the day looking for save the dates and wedding invitations. I've found a few wedding invitations that I've liked but they don't have the matching save the dates. Then I had an idea :idea: I went on the Disney Photo Pass website and started making a save the dates using their photo cards that you can order. I thought it came out nice. Does anyone know if I could have either labels or have just the envelopes printed somewhere? Also what do you guys think of it as a save the date? Here's a pic of 2 that I did. Hey ladies thank you for responding. I'm torn. I like them both. However DF prefers the 2nd one. Which is weird because he doesn't really want too much Disney stuff at the wedding. Originally I was doing like a Cinderella type theme but I started noticing he wasn't to enthused about it. So now I think I might keep it more classic with a few hidden Mickey's here and there. It's his wedding too and I want him to be happy. I think he's ok with a few Disney touches but just not so much the cartoons. Oh well that's it for now.

DO THE CRUISE!!! I am a Disney Cruise Bride (or atleast I was 2 years ago...LOL) and The cruise is magical and there are whole days you can go without ever seeing a child! LOL I have been on 7 Disney Cruises and love them more and more each time I go! We had over 30 people come to our wedding and since I am a Travel Agent I booked all of their trips. It was added stress for sure, but I wouldn't have had it any other way, I needed to make sure everyone loved it. We had alot of couples without kids (only 4 kids came) and they all adored the cruise! No they couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. The only thing they said is that I might have to get a court order to release them and lord only knows how long that will take. Besides we tried calling the courts and they have no idea what we are even talking about. The messed up thing is he has all other documents knows all the information except mother's maiden name. And despite that they won't give it to him. I'm starting to get really upset about. It's not fair to punish someone just because they have no family. He doesn't have a passport which is how we discovered this whole mess. When I went to tell him what he needed for a passport he told me oh I don't have my BC. I don't know what to do. We have like a lil over 2 weeks left to confirm and I'm scared of sending the deposit and than not being able to get married. :sad1: Sorry if I'm venting on here. I haven't told my parents because I don't want to worry them and DF just gets angry whenever it's brought up. Thanx for the link I'm going to look into it.

I know you are so stressed about the BC thing. I can tell you that one place that may be able to help you is the school district in which he attended elementary through high school. It is one of the documents needed to register a child in school and I know here in FL you can request the documents and they have most of them on micro fiche or scanned into a computer. Most of those records are not shredded but kept on file.

This may be a longshot but maybe worth a try -- has he tried contacting the school system that he was enrolled in as a kid? I know when I registered DD for school I had to bring in a copy of her birth certificate. Maybe they have a copy in his old school file and from that he could get the info he needs to order an official copy. Good luck!:goodvibes

Hi ladies thank you so much for your replies. He actually did try and contact his school. They told him that they no longer had his records on file. :rolleyes: So on Monday he's going to try 2 see if he can call the board of education. On the other note. Belle2Be I've been trying to trace her using the link you gave me and I'm not sure it's her but there's a slight possibility I may have found her last night! If I did find her I'm naming my first child after you. :rotfl: Seriously though keep your fingers crossed for me that either he can find it through the board of education or that I stumbled on the correct name. I'm sitting here on pins and needles because we can't do anything til Monday since all that is closed on weekends. Wish me luck! :shamrock:

So for now that's where I am. I've been feeling a bit anxious lately about waiting to sign the contract and make it official. I keep praying that no conventions come along and take my date. I also hope that no other bride does either. I was wondering how that works. Thank you for reading. :) I really appreciate everyone's well wishes. Here's a little update. I have to start by saying that I luv my DF but sometimes I want to strangle him. With that being said he still hasn't gone to the courthouse to pick up the birth certificate or even see if its the right person.:mad: Granted the court house is only open during his work hours and he's been busy but still!! This is killing me. He is just soo calm about it though. He said that he's 99% positive that it is the right person because the name sounds familiar. AHHHH!!! Now the only reason I haven't strangled him is because I heard back from my wedding consultant and he said that in the state of Florida we can get married with a valid driver's license and social security card. So this is a huge relief. When I checked our state's requirements they wanted birth certificate. Another pro for a Disney wedding. :lmao: Hopefully he will be able to go get the birth certificate this upcoming week because I want to book the cruise.

So for now at least I know I can go ahead next week and contact DFTW about my LOA. Does anyone have any advice on when to do this? Should I wait exactly til that Monday or should I email him that Friday or even that Sunday. :rotfl: I'm so inpatient. I just want to make it official already! Geez I sound like a spoiled brat. :rotfl: Well like always I appreciate everyone's input. Thnx! :flower3:

Hi everyone. Lil update..well big for me.:) This past Saturday my mom, sister and I went to take the measurements for my dress and order it! I'm soo happy. :woohoo: I had been waiting to get my shoes because they told me they needed to do special measurements with my wedding shoes for them to be able to place the order. So as of now my dress is ordered! :yay: My sis took a few pics of me in the dress. The dress looks a lil weird at points because the only dress they had in the store was big on me so it's clipped in a bunch of places. So it should hopefully look better when it comes in. DF went down to the courthouse today and it turned out it wasn't the right name. :sad1: I'm not sure how to go about getting it. He even contacted a judge and he wasn't even sure how to advise him. At least we can still get married which is the most important thing but still. I'm thinking I might still book our honeymoon cruise and than worst comes to worst I can cancel it if we don't figure this out and just stay longer at WDW. Idk :confused3 This sucks. There has to be a way. Oh well. Just needed to vent a lil.

So I called the church where he thinks he was baptized and I gave the information to them. They said they were going to see if they found a record of it and if so they would mail it to us. So I have an update. Today I booked our DCL cruise for our honeymoon! We are doing a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas. :yay: We got a good deal so I decided to book it. Hopefully we will be hearing back from the church soon. Worst case scenario we can always cancel and get a full refund.

Hi everyone. I thought I'd give a few more updates. So I'm sure some of you read my post on the main board. I was able to get another consultant to get back to me and email me the room block info. So needless to say I'm relieved. I was also able to book our MK/Epcot Bridal portraits. :cool1: On another front this time I believe we do have DF's mother's maiden name. I called the church again and they looked at his baptismal record and gave me her maiden name. I was shocked at how easy it was. So DF is going to try and go this week to try and obtain his BC. I really hope that this is it. I'm trying not to get my hopes up just in case. But hey it's a pretty good chance being it was on his baptismal record. So yey! :banana:

It has been a ridiculous ordeal. We have the maiden name, we're almost positive. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to get away from work to go to the town where he was born and try and obtain it. I'm hoping maybe this week. BTW we were neighbors. I was born and raised in Elizabeth. :)

I received my LOA on Friday! yey! Finally:banana: I felt like I was given the run around. First he wasn't in than someone else started the process than I was in limbo than I was told Bill was going to take care of it, than the assistant had it. But all good, now I have it. DF and I signed it and I will be faxing it tomorrow. It'll be the first thing I do at work. :rotfl: There were a few things in there I found interesting and due to them might have to change some of my planning but I guess we will figure it all out. I'm just excited to get the process started.

Also I booked Beaute Speciale for the day of our wedding and our MK portrait. I also have booked our officiant Rev. Rojas. Things are coming together. :)

So I feel like I've abandoned my PJ. I've had a crazy past couple of weeks DF was in the hospital, job issues, finals. Anyways it's about time I got back in the game. :)

So we sent back our LOA and were assigned a wedding planner. It's Carol Mikles. To be honest I have yet to speak with her but I've spoken plenty with her assistant Chrisy Jacobi. She's been really nice and very helpful. We got sent our cake cd so DF and I are trying to agree on one. So many of them look so pretty and yummy!

We also were approved for our planning session in April. I'm really looking forward to it, if for no other reason than just being at WDW. I'm also going to see if Randy will be available to take our engagement pictures when we are down there and see if I can get a hair trial from Beaute Speciale.

Another update was that I had my STD's made by jtanddolly and it looks so nice. I've yet to have them printed with all the craziness of my life lately but hopefully i'll get that done this week, if there isn't that blizzard they're announcing.

I've also contacted an outside florist Emily from Charming Events. I received a pretty reasonable quote. She was so wonderful with helping come up with wonderful ideas based on my hidden mickey theme and colors. I'm really excited to work with her.

So I think that's all the updates for now. I'll try to get back in the game. :)

I noticed your post on another thread about wanting an AK bridal shoot but not having seen any pictures from 1. I did one for my Aug wedding and LOVE the pictures we got there. So I ordered my head piece from DB and it came it. It's soo nice. I love it!

As for other plans. Originally we were going to be staying at the GF but we decided to save ourselves some money and stay at Coronado Springs. I really wanted GF but it's kinda pushing our budget and besides we're not going to be at the resort that much. Maybe for our anniversary we'll stay at the GF.

Thanks! I'm happy with my choices. I wasn't 100% on the headband. When I went to order it the lady was such a you know what. She tried telling me it was for lil girls. Anyways I like how it looks. Now just gotta figure out if I should wear the veil or flowers in my hair.

And dont worry about not staying in the GF, if thats the biggest sacrifice youve got to give up for your dream wedding I think youre doing awesome! :thumbsup2 I think were bumping down to POR-Riverside for most of the trip and moving to the GF the night before and will stay that night and the night of the wedding. Not too shabby. I cant wait to read more. Time is flying for us now, girl!! :cool1:
