I wish!!!! He is ARNG. His unit is preparing to deploy. He has been gone for 2 weeks of annual training again (they did 3 weeks in June). He will be home (and back to his regular job) for 3 weeks. Then he goes on active duty for 8 weeks of specialized training. That puts him back just shortly before Thanksgiving. They will ship to their mobilization point Jan 8 and then deploy in February. With all the time he has had to take from his regular job he hates to ask for more for a vacation. We had planned a July trip to New York (he is a huge Yankees fan) but ended up canceling it due to all these training dates he had coming up and not wanting to ask for more time off from work.

We have a couple of weekend trips planned closer to home before deployment. One to see the Titans and spend the weekend in Nashville. One to Pigeon Forge for Connect.
