I'll be on the cruise! (I'm the one getting married lol!)

Congrats!!! Wow!!!

I can not officially start planning our trip until we are "back on track" with schedule , eating healthy, exercise, etc. It is my motivation to get back on track so I can start planning...

But we are planning on this cruise because my DD wants to turn 13 on a Disney cruise so she won't turn into a boring teenager. :lmao:

She turned 7 on a Disney Cruise. The days fell the same as this one so the CC day will be on her birthday. It was so perfect... day at the beach, dressed like a princess for dinner, fireworks at sea...

How magical to get married on Castaway Cay! :cloud9::lovestruc:wizard::grouphug:

Looking forward to sharing this magical cruise with you all.
Me, DH, DD (turning 13), and DS (will be 9 by cruise time)

Have y'all heard you now have to pick your show time in addition to your dinner time?
Early dinner seating is 6:30 with a choice of the 5:00 or 9:00 show.
Late dinner is 8:30 with the choice of the 5:00 or 7:00 show.

We are booked for the late dinner with the 7:00 show.

I think gaRry has the wedding people booked for early dinner...at least that's what the TA told me. If we go to the 9:00 show, we'd miss stuff like Match Your Mate....and this time, I'm really hoping the Bride and Groom will show up for it!!
Doubt if I'd be ready to go to the show at 5:00. :guilty: I wish they'd stop messing with things.
I like the idea of the 8:30 dinner and 7:00 show...that would work with the schedule we normally go by.

If the show is at 9:00 the I'm guessing they would just start things around 10:00 or 10:15, it's not that big a deal for them to push things back a bit. Get over it, things change and you can adapt.

Since you have early dinner, you're going to have to either ask your TA or have Garry ask the TA what time the show is set up for. DCL is just assigning times to people unless they ask for another time.
Sorry, we can't do early dinner....been there, done that and NOT doing it again.

We were supposed to do the first 10 day Christmas cruise but had to cancel since DH couldn't get vacation. But we did get to meet Garry, Virgil, and Stacey and their families before that cruise sailed and several times afterwards. Vicki likes to use our house in Windermere for her WDW weekend getaways...oh yeah Garry too :grouphug: .

Since you are going on a new ship nothing will be 'old' to you except some of the CM's. So yes you will need to adapt to the Dream!
I'll just get Alexa to lead you around the ship by the hand to get you familiar with it. :rolleyes1 AT least we have our April cruise to know our way around the ship, or at least attempt to know our way around.

This just started last week and is only for the Dream, and I guess it will be for the Fantasy as well.

The T/A just told me the following.....I am all set...Thanks for the heads up.

The show time selection has just come about this week. Disney just released that their dining rooms seat more than their theater so their solution is 3 show times - 5pm, 7pm and 9pm. When you booked, we didn't ask show times because back then it wasn't an option yet. When Disney decided to implement this, they assigned the show times to everyone that was already booked.

I've check it and you are on the late dining and the 7pm show.

The last week has been rough on me. I know some point and time things will get better. But it will take time. I know I have to give up my horses. There are 2 I want to keep but we will see. The farm ?? there is just no way I can keep it up and it has to go. Its just WHEN ??????? I'm lookinng at january 1 or maybee august ??????
So sickness its just not a good thing when you don't know when it will get better

okay enough of my life.

hope everyone had a good day

We have lost our thread starter....We will miss MandiB -

MNSSHP is fun to do. If you decide to go you can order tickets before you go and save a couple dollars off each ticket. Also, your ticket lets you into the MK at 4:00, you don't need to wait until 7:00 to enter MK with the party ticket.

After watching the beginning of tonight's Inside Edition, everyone's going to think that all people from DE are crazy - between Christine O'Donnell and the lady that drove the wrong way up the interstate for miles and caused 4 accidents. The worst part was the police in PA didn't catch her and she was finally found Friday, the next day. The woman was only going about 50 in a 55 zone. :confused3

Jared and I watched. It's fascinating to see how it's done. And the ship is pretty. I'm going to spend as much time as I can, onboard, checking out all the new areas. I'm on a mission. ;)

Been thinking about what, if anything, we want to do in Nassau. The ocean and snorkeling will be calling us, but we've been there enough times to know there isn't much to see out there...but still...I'm going to want to get in the water. More details on my thoughts on that later...but.....I also wouldn't mind staying onboard and trying to get in line for the Aquaduck...and wandering, taking pictures.
Good thing I have almost a year to decide!

Bubble wrap might work. And I was SO careful BEFORE that cruise, too. :sad2:

We found a roadrunner near the carport, apparently died of natural causes. Didn't appear to be a thing wrong with him. So we put him in a box in the freezer and called a taxidermist. They're pretty excited, I don't think they've ever done a roadrunner before.
Now that I think about it, I hope he wasn't just taking a nap!

It's pretty rare to even see a live one, and they're protected, so they can't be hunted. Generally, if you see a dead one, it's been hit by a car. And I've only seen that twice. So this guy is in perfect condition. His feathers and coloring are beautiful.

While I have learned so much from you all (like how to be T.O.P.) I do believe we are now going to be on a different cruise.

While my daughter really wanted to turn 13 on a Disney Cruise we have decided to try a four day cruise this time. We have been on 2 three day cruises so this will be a real treat.

First 3 day cruise we got off to a rough start. We sat in the parking lot for two hours because someone had left behind luggage and dogs had smelled something on it so the port was shut down. So by the time we finished the lifeboat drill thing our kids (3&6 at the time) had to have a nap so we missed our dinner time. Then after the day at Castaway Cay my DS had a fever and we missed the pirate party. Still it was the best vacation ever. My DD turned 7 on the last night (it was quite magical). We all loved the cruise!

Our next cruise, my DD, who tends to get stomach things on vacation due to eating different, got sick. (We now make sure she takes a probiotic and no problems) We only ate one night in the main dining. We missed the pirate party again. Both times we only made it to one show. But once again we still loved it.

So we are looking forward to getting to see a couple more shows and eating at the resturants. Let's pray that everyone stays healthy and the weather is great.

We are very excited about exploring the new ship. And Castaway Cay is one of our favorite places!

See you around the disboards :)

Lake Havasu.

Probably put him on the fireplace mantel. Megan's afraid that it will scare Ronan, or that he'll tear it apart.

To me it just looked like a funny bird, nothing real special.
First off when is she bringing R & R to see the bird and second how will get up on the mantle to get it down? She's a silly bird herself.
When Alexa and Tommy were little, there were 2 stuffed ducks above the fireplace at the beach and they didn't even notice them let alone try and climb up to them. Now the ones outside, that was a different story.....Alexa has always loved ducks and tried to catch them.

They're waiting to hear what days Dave will get off at Christmas, so they can come down. But he also got a new job, so he may not get any time off.
I decided to put it on the mantel/mantle ;) after Megan was having a fit about where to put it.
But then, with four dogs, waaay up high is probably the best idea.:rolleyes1

I called the taxidermist back to get a ballpark price. She had to check with the "bird specialist" that does all the birds for her.
Apparently, birds aren't "emptied out" and stuffed, they're freeze-dried and left internally intact. Just a tidbit of useless info for your next round of Jeopardy!
Anywho.....also, because they are an endangered species, I can't do anything at all with mine. :sad1: They'll only mount them for schools or non-profits (like a museum I guess) with a lot of paperwork. Darn it. I didn't kill it, and we care about them...that should be worth something.
And I am definitely a non-profit.

Services will be tomorrow night, just before sundown.

I thought about having Jared ask the school if they wanted him, but with all the budget cuts, I doubt they have the money to take care of him.

My other idea is to go to the Heard Musuem North and see if they already have one. If not, and they're interested, I'll let them have him, as long as I get a donation plaque. Selfish, huh? Oh well, I love that little guy.

I know I was there, but don't remember that fact. And I've never seen the movie, only eaten the pizza. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I'm sorry you ate the pizza. :crazy2:

Actually, in college, we'd go to the bowling alley to get Tombstone pizza. It was better than what they served at The Gag. (cafeteria)

:love:Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott. Bill Paxton, Jason Priestley, Jon Tenney (he's so cute, he's on The Closer now)

Now I see why I've never watched the movie.....I don't find any of these men appealing - especially Val Kilmer and Sam Elliott. :sad2: :rolleyes1

I learned to town is extremely haunted.....is that good enough? Also, that there were several brothels there. Oh yeah....lots of dead people are buried in the cemetery. How's that for remembering? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
Was that mentioned on the tour we did?

Hey! Dad said i needed to check in and answer some questions.

As far as the planning goes there isn't to much left to do until next summer. I've gotten my dress and picked the colors (Dark teal, like the save the date cards, and dark pink). We've also decided that we're serving the Magicale Brachetto instead of Banfi. Irene mentioned it before and I tracked down a bottle last time we were at WDW and Chris and I both loved it!! We may still have Banfi too, I can't decide lol. We are also trying to figure out which area of the country we want to live in. So we'd love some suggustions!!

Thanks for popping in, Vanessa!!!
The colors sound great. At least now I'll know not to get a dress in those colors. ;)

The best place to live? Somewhere where you both can get jobs.
Also....halfway between both parents, (his and yours) so that there's equal distance to visit. I just know that if Megan and Dave moved back here, Dave's parents would go crazy!!

Oh my.....there's a cemetary on the way to my brother's in Bellevue, and every time we drove past it, Poppy would ask the kids if they knew how many dead people were buried there. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They finally got smart and said "ALL OF THEM!" :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I keep telling her they need to stay in Denver since Chris cannot transfer to this area (Frontier contracts out his position in TPA and MCO). I would rather they be where one family is so they are not all alone - we'll see. besides it would give me an excuse to visit that area of the country. It may be with my long johns, but it can't be all bad. I think eventually they still want to come back this way.:cool2:

I really like that Megan and Dave are in Omaha. At least all of my family is there, with lots of lovely nieces who like to babysit!! And at least Megan has someone to turn to when she needs it. Plus it's not that far for Dave's folks to go to visit.

We used to do all of our summer vacations in Colorado. It's beautiful then. But I know how you feel, Vicki, about going in the winter. I'm planning my next Omaha visit, praying they'll have a mild winter!

Vanessa, I forgot to say....I'm really looking forward to trying that wine. If it's as good as we've heard, we won't need any Banfi!! And if I'm not on painkillers (oh please oh please oh please!) then I can actually drink it!

Just tell your Dad to keep his little black bag in front of his own door this time!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have a bottle of that wine and haven't opened it, now with all this talk about it I'm going to have to open it. Just realized that it's up north so I'll have to wait until we go home or buy another bottle this week and try it. Decisions....decisions....

Pretty colors. When we got married our colors were teal and yellow. Although I do like the idea of pink with teal. :thumbsup2
