and I don't know who wanted to cry more. Me or her???!!!!???? She has been in a home daycare since she was only months old. The same lady who taught Oddball in K4, then kept Shelby in her home, has kept Savannah since she was tiny. She was excited about starting to "school" today, but when we got there she began to tear up. Then I did!!! But, I was strong and told her how much fun she was going to have and got her started coloring. But, she's my baby! I know that she will be fine. She is in a church kindergarten where Shelby has attended the past 2 years. Shelby started first grade this year at the same school where Oddball started 7th grade. Yes, it's K-12 there. It is also the same school that I graduated from.

OK!!!I need to get to work now, but I just needed some hugs from someone to get me through the rest of the day. I know, Savannah will be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!

{{{hugs}}} This is usually harder on us than on the kids. I hope she has a great day!:D

when my children started school for the first time too. Not as much with my son, as he was more independent, but my daughter was a mommy's girl and it was soooooo hard to let her go off on that bus the first day. I remember the two of us sitting in the yard swing, waiting for the bus....and when it came she proudly marched on, stopping on the second step to turn and wave goodbye to me with a big smile on her face...I smiled back and waved, but as soon as the bus was out of sight I cried...I was glad I could hold the tears back until she was gone, so she didn't see....but it was HARD, so I know how you feel. (((hugs)))
