Man, I went from being the best mom in the world to the dumbest parent on the planet this weekend. It all started on Friday when my son's new loft bed was delivered. The plan was to use the frame from his old bed in my daughter's room to (finally!) get her out of the crib and into a big girl bed. Eddie was spending the night at his best friend's house, so I took Sarah out to the mall to get sheets for her new bed. While there I stopped at the Disney Store and picked up jackets for both kids -- Princess for Sarah and Buzz for Eddie (size 6). On Saturday Eddie stopped by to get a Pokemon tape and I had him try on his new jacket. It looked too short in the sleeves, so I took it back to the Disney Store. Unfortunately, the only jacket they had in the next larger size was Tigger, so I exchanged Buzz for Tigger. What a stupid move! I got Tigger home, tried it on my son, it was way too big, so I went back to the Disney Store. They had already sold out of the size 6 Buzz jackets, including the one I had just returned. All they had left was the Tigger jacket, which my son didn't like nearly as well as the Buzz.

The saddest part of all this is that my son's friend was invited to go to the movies by another friend and Eddie wasn't invited to go along. He was really having a bad day and then Mommy messed up with the jacket!

I've called almost every Disney Store in the Chicago area and no one has the size 6 Buzz Lightyear denim varsity jacket so I'm asking other board members if they happen to be in a Disney Store and see one, please, please let me know!

It sounds like he needs a size 6X because the 6 was too small for him.
The 6X gives a little extra length room in the sleeves and chest.
Se, raising 3 boys did come in handy for one thing.
I just called the two stores in my area. They both have the jacket but only in size 7/8. the CM said that the sleeves are about 2" longer and the jacket is about 2" bigger than a size 6.
She can
't hold it for me, but if you want it I can try and stop there after work today and pick it up.
Let me know. Peggie

Peggie, thanks for the offer, but I was able to find one in a store closer to home -- one of the few I hadn't called yesterday. They're going to ship it to me and I should have it in a couple of days.
