Having a pretty good day so far.. love my dorm room, it's really pretty and cozy. I'm living in a building that used to be a hotel, so everything is pretty cute. I met my roommate and her family for dinner last night - they were all so nice, we really clicked. She brought a bunch of Disney movies with her and we like to do the same kinds of things. Actually haven't seen her yet today.. no idea where she is, probably out with her parents. I'm living in a SAFE (Substance and Alcohol Free) floor, which is wonderful for me as a non-drinker/smoker/druggie. :) I have my first floor meeting in 25 minutes and then we have some sort of ice cream social - sounds like fun! :)

Of course, the hallmarks of my non-academic college experience were:

SEX, DRUGS, AND ROCK & ROLL!!

Now I definitely like the idea of a drug and smoke free floor:) :) :) :) , but let's hope that it's not toooooooooo puritanical an existence...............bring on the R&R:p :p :p :p .......

Sounds like your settling in just fine!

I didn't know they had "free" rooms, do all colleges? Is there a lot of wild things happening on the other floors or is alcohol/drugs allowed on those floors?.....Just curious.

Your roommate sounds so nice!
