Swap hostesses forgiveness please: Problem solved Thank You

To all my swap hostesses (ZTH, AWM, DIT, Mickey teacher), I now realize that I should have included a hostess gift along with my swap items (oops) :guilty: I was so excited to mail my items that it never even occurred to me :scared1: Please accept my sincerest apologies (grovel, grovel, grovel) and allow me to make it up to you. Is this SOP for all swaps? What type of hostess gift? Don't want to mess up on my first swap.

Hostess gifts are NOT required. If you want to include something, you can. It's not like we hostesses keep track of who sends stuff and who doesn't. As a hostess, the best gift, IMO is an on time arrival, with postage included. :goodvibes

As Hope said, a hostess gift is not required or expected. Some send them and some don't. Nobody keeps track of who did or didn't. I also agree with Hope on the best gift being things sent in ontime, complete, and with postage. A smooth sailing swap is my favorite!!!:goodvibes

Honest, sending a hostess gift doesn't affect the outcome of swapping out items.

They are nice, but they are not expected. Most of us hostess because we really want to be able to see everything. ;) Not to get things. :thumbsup2

:wave2: That's me!!!! I love seeing everything in person. The only problem with that is it is really difficult to not put one of everything into my own pile!! But, I'm a good hostess and haven't kept anything I wasn't supposed to!:rotfl:

As the others have stated and I will say again..

Hostess gifts are NOT required... they are something extra we have given to hostess to say thank you for their effort and time hosting the swap.... It is in no way a requirement!!! All of the hostesses on the DISboards (and I'm sure other boards, but I don't frequent other boards) host the swaps because they enjoy it...


:hug: No one will be banished because they didn't send in a hostess gifts.... It's just a small thank you token!!!!

Hostess gifts are not required! I love to host because I get to see everyone's work.

I'd second the "on time is better than a gift" (although I do love a gift;):rotfl2:) but I don't keep track of who sent what.

and being on time is also the best gift to your fellow swappers:goodvibes We all want our stuff back!
