OK, you're talking to the complete uninitiated here so bear with me!!

I'm thinking of going to WDW in December 2003 and would very much like to go to HRH for a few days.

What is the best way of me going about doing this at the best rate, I'm completely confused because there seem to be loads of different rates available, a lot of which I would imagine are not available to me! (Though I do have an AAA card!).

How soon should I book or is it best to wait as long as possible for the best rate and should I book direct with the hotel or are there better places to do that?

Sorry for what I'm sure might seem are very simple questions to all of you 'in the know'!!

Thanks!

Astrid :)

Hi Astrid!
You're in the right place for info. No question is too simple to be answered here.
While I don't know best way from outside of Fla. to book, the AAA rate is accepted often. Don't know how 800 #'s work from there, but we usually call 1-800-23LOEWS initially. If nothing reasonable, we pull up HotelKingdom.com.
If all else fails, we go to Sea World and just stay at Sheraton World!
You'll get lots more responses too, so stay tuned.

Hi
When we went to the HRH I booked several months in advance at a AAA rate. I asked at the time if there were any lower rates and I was told no but to keep calling back as we got closer because sometimes rates go down. About 2 months prior to leaving for the trip I called and the AAA rate quoted me was $40 a night less than what I had it booked at. I then cancelled at my original rate and rebooked. They took care of both at the same time and were very nice about it. So if you decide to book keep trying as your date nears and you may find a better rate.

I believe the entertainment rate is USD $125 per night, you would just need to purchast the book. But you can call and ask for the Entertainment rate without having purchased the book and then buy the book before you go so you can have the card at check-in. BTW I got the $99 rate for RP through entertainment rate. HTH!
