Anyone out there can recommend any good clothes shops (formal rather than sports wear). I've tried Dress Barn and think that the quality isn't too good - especially for the prices charged (even at the outlets). Should I be looking elsewhere? (For.... how can I put it.... the larger lady? (size 18).

Hi Annie
the shop that you want is called Lane Bryant (http://www.lanebryant.com/) and it's in the Florida Mall. It's a really nice larger ladies shop, although a UK 18 will be right at the bottom of their range. They do nice quality clothes, casual to smart, although not really business wear. It's not an outlet, but I still find the prices are ok compared to the UK.
I think there is another store in the Florida Mall that specialises in smart clothes (suits etc) for larger sizes, but I didn't shop there, and the name escapes me. (I've just remembered - August Max Woman (http://www.casualcornergroup.com/pclinks.process?catalog_id=3) )
Also, all the department stores have extensive ranges which range from reasonably priced to quite expensive. JCPenny and Sears are cheaper, and Burdines, Dillards and Saks are more expensive.
all the shops at the Florida Mall are listed here

Bev - Many thanks for the info. Hoping to go beginning of December..... now should DH ask me what I want for Christmas, a shopping trip to some of those stores should be just the thing!
I knew I could rely on the DIS Board members to help me out! You're all stars.

I love Lane Bryant and shop there everytime I go to Orlando - Last trip I bought
2 pairs of casual trouser 3/4 lengths
3 pairs of knickers
4 T shirts
and it came to just over £100 including the 6% sales tax.
Also usually on their website there is a coupon you can use but you have to be using cash in order to redeem it.
