Sooooo excited!!! Today I finally booked my first solo trip!! My original plan was that I wanted to stay in a MK resort (preferably Polynesian) as I never have after the billion times I've been to the World. I've also never been during the Food and Wine Festival so I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to see that. The prices were pretty steap so I decided to try renting points.

Well, Ms. Michelle who helped me (found her on the board) was wonderful at trying to find me a room. My dates were slightly limited to Mid-October through Mid-November as I have a business trip the end of September and a new employee the begining of September that I dont want to leave (I'm a bank manager). So, sadly, after much searching, Michelle was not able to find me a room (other than at SSR but I really didn't want to stay there).

Sad that I wasn't going to get a fantastic deal, I went back on WDW's website and played with my dates and found a not so bad deal AT THE POLYNESIAN!!!! I booked it. Have the Disney Visa so interest free for 6 months is the way to be!!! Also found amazing airfare from Newark, NJ to MCO for $170.00!!! Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky!!!

So my Disney stay will begin on Saturday, November 13th. I have two days to eat my heart out at the food and wine festival. I may stop by a wine seminar or two but most of the other specialty stuff is done by then. I'm not really too upset about that I just want to try the different countries!! LET THE PRE-VACATION DIETING COMMENCE!!!

Oh and did I mention that I got the dining plan for free? YUP!!! I love that. However, it's the regular dining plan so I guess i'm dining solo!!! Anyone have any tips for that? I read some great messages on here about counter dining at the nice restaurants and may try that! Plus, sushi at Polynesian is definnitely a plus in my book!!!!

I'M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!!!

I plan on updating this more when i start booking my dining reservations and what not. Did I mention how much I love that you can book them online now!! SUCH A PLUS!!!

Happy weekend everyone!

Not that I will be going solo anytime soon, since my youngest is only 7, but I am such a social person, I think I might be lonely..as crazy as that sounds..lol My DH has no desire for disney so I have thought about a solo trip in the future.. I hope you have tons of fun!!

I am soooo excited for you! I can't wait for the day I do a solo trip or even an adult trip (my youngest is 8). You are going to have a fantabulous time!

Oh, you'll love it! I've done two solos, and can't wait until hopefully someday I can do another one. We have a huge family Christmas trip to Disney this year, so no way I can take a solo - but...I'm getting an AP for this trip, so a solo will be within reach for sometime next year I'm hoping!
Have fun and keep us posted on your plans!

I've been doing solo trips for 15 years... However, I've only done Disney solo 3 times. I much prefer the freedom to do what I want whenever I want.

Looking forward to the next solo trip!!

Solos are a fun and different way to see the parks. All I've ever done are solo trips. December will be the first time I really share with someone. Of course it's gonna be fun, because they're as addicted to Mickey's house as I am, but I'm looking forward to building those memories.
