Ok, it's not a matter of how soon, it's how MUCH you pack for Disney. Of course, the excuse is that she needs to pack for warm and cool weather, so needs double the clothes. Not to mention 654 pairs of shoes.
Me, just pack me a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and I'll be fine for 98% of the weather. :)
Who else packs way TOO much?

........I do try to limit myself to 387 pairs of shoes though..:) :)

Must pack 2 weeks worth of clothes for 1 week....you never know, you might get stuck down there for a couple of extra days.

I was just saying the other day that if there was a Overpackers Support Group of some sort, that I would be president, does that answer your question.

Not guilty! I pack one carry on and one back pack for 2 people for a week. I leave out a lot of stuff everyone says is "essential" and I do laundry midweek. Plus, I pack everything that I can in giant ziplock bags and then press all the air out of them. Amazing how small those items get when they are "vacuum" packed.

No, don't pack a LOT. My list was in the other thread, but we usually get by with one small roller bag per person, plus one more with toiletries and food stuff in it. I have these great little roller bags that have outside pockets the shoes fit in, so they don't take up in suitcase space!

Dream,
Tell your husband that stuff expands to fill the available space. (Now you will need more stuff!)
I can pack really light for almost every place but Disney. I did a two week Europe tour with a carry on. What is it about Disney?

I'm the one who overpacks, not DW. I promise next WDW trip I'm underpacking and buying new Disney clothes if I need anything.:teeth:

Don't kid yourself, Dream...the bigger the car, the more you pack :p (so says the woman with the big station wagon ;) )
Honestly, I've gotten MUCH better in recent years.....I used to have a stuffed car AND a filled car carrier rack thing tied to the roof. These days I manage to get it all INside (Perhaps that has something to do with shipping a carton or two ahead of myself  )

I overpack. :o My dad discovered that I overpack when he tried to lift my suitcase a couple years ago and almost dropped it...inside...all shoes. :o But this was for WDW and a cruise...so I had a reason...hehe. I need different shoes for each dinner outfit! ;) I overpack for everything, though, not just WDW...going to Yale this summer I took almost every article of clothing I own...haha.

I saw your thread and thought "I resemble that remark!" But seriously, my motto is it's better to have too much than too little...and if I do happen to forget something...I can always go shopping in dt disney!

Guilty!! :teeth:
I'm not a big shoe packer (just sandals and sneakers), but I pack every under garmet and pair of socks I own (which could fill up one carry on alone)????? :teeth:
And things -- I'm a thing packer. Extension cord, matches, candles, flashlight, sewing kit, first aid kit, scissors, tweezers, plastic bags, tissues, aspirin, non-aspirin pain reliever, suntan lotion, sunburn lotion, Brita water bottles, britta water filters and on and on and on -- I don't know???? I guess if we're stuck in a hurricane or a drought, we'll be prepared. :teeth:

when DW packs the suitcases, she packs the family stuff and she leaves like 1/4 of one suitcase open for me. If I can't fit it all in that spot, socks and undies might get stuffed here and there around other stuff.
zurg, sorry, although there are 654 shoes, I would say that they are all not badshoes (http://www.badshoes.com)
