My son was named starting defensive tackle! Update..

My Eagle Scout oldest son is playing his first high school football game tonight! He waited until he was a senior and decided to go out for football. Last night he was named starting defensive tackle, and second offensive whatever on the line. (Sorry - I'm not up on all those individual position names).

We're getting ready to go, wish him luck! (Me, too - watching him get beat up and hammered is not my idea of fun - and it's just as bad during wrestling season!)

Yep - we're pretty proud of him!:teeth: :bounce: :teeth: :bounce:

Update -

Thanks for your good thoughts and wishes. We lost, unfortunately. :(

However, we tied it 20/20 in the last few minutes, then lost in overtime. The other team is ranked very high, and we did well to score as much as we did, and keep it so close. It was better than a pro game!

Congrats to your son. That quite an accomplishment to make the starting team on your first year out. I'm sure he worked very hard.

My son played HSfooball all four years. He was an outstanding player. He was a very dedicated player and in his senior year won the Thanksgiving Day MVP.

I miss those years.
