who has had 5 people (mostly adults) in a 1br? I know, I know, the occupancy is supposed to be 4 so please don't start on that. I don't want to start a controversial thread about occupancy.

What I would really like to know from the one's who have done it (and I'm sure it has been done plenty of times), is how you handled checking in or any other issues or problems that stemmed from doing this.

As I said, I'm not looking for a controversy (debate). I just want to know how others handled it.

We've had over the capacity when it was kids and we didn't know better....our guide told us it was OK!!!Then we got it straight when we registered for these boards....

That said 5 adults in a 1 bdrm would be very crowded and there wouldn't be enough beds.....

I don't think there are many DVCers who will give you advice to over crowd a 1 bdrm villa.....

Is it that cute little boy in your pic? I'm not gonna give you controversy. The bedroom is a king size bed, I'm sure Mom, Dad and a small child will fit very comfortable in that bed. we've fit me, DH and DD who is four in that bed and slept wonderful. The two adults have a more than adaquate bed in the living room. Have a great time! Kim

Before joining DVC we stayed in a studio w/4 adults (me, husband and his parents), one 3 y/o and an infant, and we did fine. Of course we were w/in the limit since we had a dedicated studio which is 4 plus one child plus one infant. I will say it was tight, but since we all get along great, it worked just fine for us. Now that we have points we spread out and enjoy it MUCH more :) I love the additional bathroom the 2 bedroom gives us when we bring others with us!

Thanks brittsmum for the kind comment. A mom always appreciates compliments about their child :).

I appreciate all your comments (no offense taken from yours Sammie :) ) I've seen the posts on this board realize this is a very controversial subject.

At this point the 4th adult is a "maybe" and obviously there is no time to make a change to the reservations. I just wanted to be ready to face it if I had to.

Garrets you did not say which resort. We have stayed at VWL and OKW 1br. I will say the VWL 1BR you will be on the crowded side. The OKW would not be as crowded. I have no idea about handleing the rest. Have a safe and magical trip. BTW he is a cutie in the pic.
