Warning ........... if you are looking for heathly food or fine dinning experiences walk away now .....it just didn,t happen:rotfl:

Quick background on the trip , we all met a couple of years ago in turkey and they all where so fed up of me going on about disney this trip was planned one night last july on a summer night that involved a lap top and alcohol :rotfl:

Cast 8 adults 4 children my 7th trip with my DH and DD he rest where all newbies:wizard:

We went from Hull to Driffield the night before so we could all set off together ,we decided to start the hoiday off with a sunday pub lunch before we drove to leeds/bradford for our 6.15 flight.

Are we ready to go yet please

We used the sat nav to get us there and she seemed to take us the very senic route but we got there in plenty of time and was in fact the first at check in at the jet2 desk. They where very nice and seated us all near each other and as our flight was on time we where soon on our way.
around 8.15 we touched down at CDG where we had booked ezzy shuttle as we had heard good things about them on here .
we where very happy to see john and his wife waiting for us with two people carriers and child seats ready to take us to the Kyriad Hotel.
He was lovely and chatty and as the children where in his wifes car she took them the way so they could see the castle and they arrived very excited

We checked in at he desk and we had to pay a city tax as we had booked it though expedia this was 40 euros for the whole group ,she did try to give us a late breakfast but I had a email requesting a early 7,30 so she changed it ,it was then she wandered down the other end of the desk and started to deal with a french couple who were enquiringabout park tickets she seemed in no rush to get back to us despite my glares (so rude) we eventualy got our room keys and where near the breakfast room (handy) and had four rooms near each other we unpacked and got into bed ready for tomorrow :yay::yay:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought id add my photos of the hotel here the rooms where clean, air con, free safe ,hairdyer tea/coffee kettle ,and a lovery bed with a sort of memory foam mattress which was very welcome the next four nights belive me:cloud9:

The hotel worth it do you mean ? I think the kyriad is quite underrated for a 2 star its my second stay there and I think its really good vaule the area is really pretty ,although does anyone know what they where builing ?near by they where not there the last time we went it looked like loads of sort of town houses or holiday apartments I think

Worth the price, in terms of quality, and not being on property and money saved.
Sorry should have made that more clear.

yes worth it in value for money i much rather spend it on gifts and disney stuff for me its not rally far from the park on the bus it really depends on what a person wants ,we love the park and just wanted a base if you want extra magic hours and charaters in the hotel you would have to go in a disney hotel look what i got with the money i saved:lmao:

Thank you for the pics, I know we're only there for one night, but from your pics and review I think it will be worth us considering it for any future trips. :thumbsup2

Great start to your trip. I have stayed at the Kyriad before & thought it was great. The only thing to watch out for is that school trips use it alot. When we were there there was a very noisy lot who were running wild & set off the fire alarm late at night. Luckily our wing wasn't evacuated & DD1 slept through the racket! Maybe I was just unlucky (it was 1st week in November), but apart from that the hotel was ideal.

Great start ~ can't wait to hear what the newbies thought!

DH's workmate always stays at the Kyriad and loves it there ~ I think it's only 2 star because it hasn't got a pool, it would probably be a 3 star if it had one.

Stayed at the Kyriad last year and also have it booked for October this year. It's a great hotel for the price. :thumbsup2

EDIT, Also this hotel is the first pickup so you always get a seat when going to the parks. People at the Explorers didn't look happy as they always had to fight to get on a bus.
