There are not very many and they carry a very premium price. They are also advertised heavily as a key feature. If you had one you would know it.

It's true that only a handful of digital cameras today have GPS incorporated in it. It's still a very very new feature for digital cameras.
However, iPhones and BlackBerrys today all have GPS automatically on them. Because of this, if you take a photo using your iPhone or BlackBerry, your smartphone *might* automatically embed the GPS coordinates into your photo. So if you upload your iPhone/BlackBerry photo onto Flickr, for example, folks can then see the GPS coordinates of where you took the photo.
If you don't want your iPhone / BlackBerry to embed your GPS coordinates into your photo, look for the option to NOT embed GPS coordinates.
Regarding the article you mentioned, I think the warning pertains mostly to folks taking photos using their iPhones or BlackBerrys.

I didn't think my camera had gps, but I wasn't sure, and the article freaked me out.
I don't have an Iphone or Blackberry so no worries there:goodvibes LOL

The expensive cameras have GPS so you can find the nearest Super 8 motel when the husband/wife finds out how much you just spent on that camera body.
