Staying on points at the Poly...

What type of view do you usually get? DH and I are taking a long weekend 5/18 to 5/22 staying on points at the Poly and are wondering if we can expect a lagoon view room? Has anyone done this? What room type did you have? Any input greatly appreciated. This is our first stay on points...our first "official" trip "Home" is scheduled for November.

What I've been seeing is that most DVC members do get nicer rooms...ie. lagoon view, etc... when staying on points at Disney resorts, but nothing is guaranteed. That said....the garden view rooms at the Poly are absolutely wonderful. Personally if I stayed in garden view there again I would request the Niue building (or Samoa if you're a smoker) as its right by the Great Ceremonial House and kind of between the pools.

Have a great stay...the Poly is an incredible resort.

The poly is ok. If I were only going for a few days with DW and had the points I would stay at GF if it was available and Poly would be my 2nd choice.

My daughter and I stayed at the Polynesian using points in May of 2000 (because we could not get late reservations at the BWV) and our only request was for a non-smoking room. We were given a room with a garden-view in the Aotearoa building - 2nd or 3rd floor. It was not the best location but we did not mind - we were just glad to get a room for a last minute trip! Good luck in getting the room you want. :D
