A backpack is free- it doesn't mention weight specifications so I'm thinking if I shove a change of clothes, swimsuit, goggles as long as it fits under my seat it's free? I'm hoping to do this one per person to cut down on luggage fees-
Will this raise eyebrows
Sorry for the ridiculous questions but every $ counts you know. :rotfl2:

On the website it gives dimensions for personal item/backpack. No weight restriction, but it has to fit under the seat. You should be fine packing items. I am planning on packing most of kids clothes in their backpacks.
Hopefully we will hear from others that are flying since the rule went into effect.

Just be positive that it will fit under the seat, otherwise they are going to hit you with the $45 fee if it has to go in the overhead bin.
We are flying Spirit on Wednesday and we'll probably end up under-packing our backpacks just to be totally sure that they will fit.

Thanks so the measurements are 16x14x12 so between the four of us we should be able to fit an outfit and swim suit each plus goggles and maybe even snacks- :cool1:
