When you go into your User CP on the left hand side there is a column of commands, that's where you will find Edit My Signature.

No - we are a family of 4 and we'll be on our 9th Disney Cruise. We'll be returning from the 11 night Southern Caribbean Holiday Cruise in December. Two months may be too long to wait for another DCL event! :)

This will be our 6th and 7th cruise, we are B2Bing with this cruise being the second part! We are sooo excited!

Is your 11 night cruise DCL? So jealous. We have never done more than 7 night and that is just not long enough!!!!:rotfl:

Yes - we are doing the 11 night Southern DCL cruise on Dec 18 - 29 ... the kids are anxious about Santa... I told them that he is very aware of the plans and will leave the majority of the presents at home! ;)

He will, however, bring at least one present on board for them to unwrap.

We live 25 minutes from the port and 45 minutes from WDW, so we are spoiled.

We usually take the week long cruise the first weekend after Thanksgiving, but thought we should mix it up a bit this year. I am looking forward to this cruise with a little more happiness than usual.

That Christmas Cruise sounds like so much fun! How old are your girls?

We are excited about DCL coming to the west coast but LA's not that close and I did an Alaska cruise last year and swore I would not do it again. That leaves ???? Seattle to Mexico , I'm crossing my fingers but doubtful that will happen.

I can't wait to hear the reports on the Dis as soon as the first couple cruises are completed. After cruising the Magic 5 times in the past, I still learned a lot about the ship/cruise from the boards.

We have a 7 year old boy and a 8 year old girl - who are never seen nor heard from until midnight when they emerge from the clubs. Not complaining at all. Just grab my iPad, a cold beverage and relax on deck.

You are going to have sooo much fun! I have only been on one other cruise line and I found myself comparing it to Disney to entire trip, Disney is amazing. When we booked our trip, our TA (travel agent) said to me, "you have only cruised Disney which is like shopping at Nordstrom, the other lines simply don't compare". We ended up on Holland America (my mom's choice), I believe the TA said we were cruising with JCPenneys!!! :rotfl:

:lmao: I'd dithered about going on a cruise in the past (eyeing the LA to Vancouver itinerary) and asked a co-worker - a frequent cruiser - his opinion on the various cruiseline options. Long story short, he said that 'Carnival is for people who don't know any better'. lol
I've thought about going on a cruise too many times to count and finally just took the plunge! Can't wait for February!

Hi All! We are booked om this sailing! We are in rooms 2000 & 2002, though I am hoping we can find connecting on a higher deck.

This is our third cruise. We sailed in January of 2008 and February of this year. We are a family of six. My husband & myself, and our children ages 9, 6, 3, and 19 months at the time of sailing.

We can't wait to set sail on the DREAM!! Looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing our excitement!!

Woo hoo!!

An FE is a Fish Extender. Families hang their FE off their fish (your room number). Your FE will have pockets to collect goodies from other families who have signed up to participate. During the cruise, your family will distribute treats at least one time. The ideas are endless. The following link will probably explain it a lot better and it also has pictures of FE's as well as treats!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607&page=80&highlight=fish+extenders

Hope this helps! Let me know if you want to sign up! :yay:

Anybody staying at WDW before our cruise? We're looking for another family to split transportation costs with. We always take a car service from Disney to the cruise. It gets there way faster than the Disney Cruise transfer busses, and if we split with another family (or families) it works out to be much cheaper than Disney service too. Don't get me wrong....I'm all for using Disney, but on a cruise, I want to be there early and get on the boat early....hit the pool and water slide :) And....get the customary drink of the day.... ahhhh.... can't wait!

We've used Happy Limo several times. Last cruise, we were sipping drinks around the pool at a little after noon as we made it into boarding group 3. There were still disney buses pulling up!

Here's pricing to go from Disney to the port via Happy Limo:

Club Wagon, 10 people $151.00
Mercedes Sprinter 14 people 236.00
Mini bus 28 people 306.00
Mini bus 32 people 331.00

These prices are the total for the bus. We need 6 seats for our family. We'd split the cost evenly between all families going. Tax is extra, as is tip. Once we have our group together, each family will call Happy Limo with their payment info, that way your credit/debit card info is secure.

Disney transportation costs $35/each way/per person, or $70/round trip/per person.

Let me know if you're interested!!

In our cabins (2000 & 2002 for now, hoping to move):
Myself
My husband
DS 9
DD 6
DS 3
DD 19 months

Thank you for organizing it!

How many families will you allow? My last cruise had about 16 families, I thought it was a little much, but I'll go with the flow.

You are in but I do need the names of your kids. You can also PM with them if that makes you more comfortable.

I haven't really thought about a specific number to cut it off. I have seen some groups will divide extra large groups into smaller groups. First time I have managed the FE, so I guess we will just keep an eye on it?!?!? :confused3

I'd love to stay at AKL sometime, but right now, we stay as close to MK as we can, since we spend most of our time there. Plus, I get a huge kick out of hopping on a boat at the end of a long day and watching all the people standing in line for the monorail, because we did that for so long before discovering DVC.

Check out my post on page three. I broke down the different options for transporation through a company we've used on three trips. Disney charges $35/pp/each way. Even if you don't want to join us, seriously check into using a service like Happy Limo for your party. It'd be a lot less expensive per person, especially for a big group. For a group of 19 (13 of you, 6 of us) it works out to be $16/pp. Plus, you'll get there earlier with less stress and would be able to get on the boat earlier. Most companies will even make a quick stop should you forget something.

Getting excited!!!!

I'm starting to figure out what we'll do for FE gifts too. Hurry up February!!

You are totally right, we have only used DCL transpo on first cruise and that was because it was part of the Land/Sea package. Our last 4 we have booked through a private company, soooo much cheaper!!! We will not be able to share transportation with your family because this cruise is actually the second half of our B2B but suggest it to others, what a great way to save money. Our first cruise date is January 6th !

Also can't wait, time can't go by fast enough. Our DCL countdown timer tells me their is still 115 days before our trip (week in WDW). I believe we get to begin making reservations for the ship on the 24th of October....19 more days!!!! I wonder if people booked on the first cruise have began making resies. If they are platinum club members wouldn't they? I haven't seen any posts from those cruisers yet, has anyone else? :confused3

Oh my gosh, I forgot about you doing the b2b, and we even pm'd about it! Where is my brain?!?

Hmmm....I thought we couldn't make reservations until the second week of November....going to look now.....

First time sailers can book at 75 days, so November 27, 2010
Silver Castaway Club members can book 90 days, so November 12, 2010
Platinum can book at 105, so October 28, 2010

Platinum can make resies on 10-24 for your first cruise on Feb 6.

I'm sooo confused :confused3! When I pull up my reservation (1st cruise-Feb 6) it states I can start booking Oct 24th, is this not correct? We are Gold members so that would be 105 days, right??? I copied the following blurb from the DCL site/My Reservation.

With My Cruise Plans you can arrange a variety of cruise activities for everyone in your travel party and make reservations in advance. Log in and retrieve your cruise reservation to:

Book and modify port adventures
Reserve and revise spa treatments and fitness activities
Make and update dining reservations at Palo
Register children for activities*
Reserve babysitting

Yeah, you're right for the 24th for the first cruise. I guess I was looking at old info??:confused3 Who knows?!

We've never been to Palo. I'm a, ummm, un-adventurous eater. That sounds better than picky, right?!? ;) Do you think its ok for someone like me? I don't want to be wasteful, and that's whats mainly holding me back. That, and there's this tiny issue of a certain baby that probably won't last more than 10 minutes in the nursery!

Interested in your thoughts on Palo.

Palo is a MUST! During our first cruise, when our oldest was only 2 (aahh), we were able to hire a babysitter, a cm who was off the Disney clock, but also highly recommended. Is there a time where you can try to hire a babysitter (maybe nap time) and have brunch at Palo? You should really, really, really try and go, it is THAT fabulous.

AWESOME! Where/how did you get hooked up with an off-duty CM? Teach me your ways! That would totally work. I know the baby won't stay in the nursery, unless something huge changes in the next few months, but she does take naps. Oh, I'm excited now!!

Hope this helps! Let me know if you want to sign up! :yay:

I get it now! Thank you! It's just me, so I think I'll pass. I am looking forward to seeing how everyone decorates, though! :)

Cool!:cool1: So you just told them you needed an in-room sitter and they gave you a name? Did it take a lot of explaining? DCL keeps saying everywhere that they do not offer in-room sitting, so it never even occured to me to ask. :confused3

This is great news though! I'll have to make sure that final payment gets in early so we can try for a Palo brunch!!

What is everyone looking most forward to on the cruise?

I am most excited for the AquaDuck and Palo of course!!!!

Everything! The AquaDuck probably tops our list. The children are really looking forward to the Oceanear's Lab and Club. One of them is totally into 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and was really happy to see a rendition of it in one of the pictures. Our older daughter LOVES Tink and the Fairies, so the forest area is right up her alley, and the three year old is the world's biggest Toy Story fan and just can't wait to get into Andy's room. The baby, well....we're keeping our fingers crossed she'll like the nursery for an hour a day or so. :)

Getting excited! In some ways, I think the cruise is really close, but in others, I think of all the things that happen between now and the cruise....Halloween, Christmas, two birthdays in January....and it seems like its really far away. I know its going to creep up on us though, and then BAM! it will be less than two weeks away!!

I'm going to start planning and gathering stuff for the FE gifts, and probably start working on those now, otherwise, I'll be trying to finish them the night before we leave for WDW before the cruise! I'm also going to make our traditional CM Treat Bags now. Getting some of the little stuff done helps get me more excited and thinking vacation! Plus, with all the activities coming up during the holidays, I'll run out of time.

We'll try for a Palo brunch, but will pass on Remy this time.

I'm also excited for the restaurants....especially the one that changes from day to evening during the meal. What the heck is it called?? Enchanted something?? Off to DCL to find out.

A few minutes later....Enchanted Garden! Looks really cool!

From Disneycruiseline.com:

Not sure about Remy, I read on the boards there is $75 charge per person, can anyone verify this? We do LOVE Palo and for $10 - $20 per person, it is extremely worth it!

I also read on the boards that there will now be three show times (5, 7 or 9) and then two dinner times (Main at 5 Late at 9). It's nice that you can have two options for show times depending on which dining you have.

On our two previous cruises, we went with late dining by choice. This time, they defaulted us to main dining. I think we'll end up changing though once on board. We'll see.

I like that there might be three shows....if we keep early dining, I'd love to do the show at 7, keeping the nights open for adult time while the children play!

Enchanted Garden does sound like it will be fun! They had me at 'gardens of Versailles'. :cloud9:
My niece has been trying to talk me into trying Palo, but I'm just staying with the normal rotation because I want to try those 3 restaurants before I move into the 'sedate adult' realm. Won't even try for Remy for that reason, plus I know that many Castaway Club folks will probably be lining up for it.

My TA requested the main seating for me, not sure if I'll get it.

I'm sorry that I fall behind on these posts, for some reason I'm not getting notifications that there have been responses to the thread.

Hi Everyone

We'll be on the 2/10 Dream Cruise -- YYEEEAAAHHHH

Our info is below and would love to join the FE group. We cruised the Magic on May of 2009. We are so looking forward to seeing the Dream. We had a great time with the FE on our cruise. This is a surprise for our kids (we're planning on telling them for Christmas) -- SSShhhh. We'll be celebrating our birthdays (mine on the 11 and my dd on the 13) during our cruise. We live close enough to Disney to go whenever our schedule allows.

Can't wait for the fun to begin. I have to start planning. Our first cruise we booked nearly a year out and planned out everything. I feel like behind the eight ball already with this one. My husband and I want to do Palo this time. We didn't have a chance last time to do this and it was already booked when we boarded.

So excited to cruise in Feb on the new Dream! :woohoo:

Anyone else on this trip?

Will you be FE'ing? If so please send me a PM with the following information:

We have Main Dining at 6:00 with the 5:00 show for the first leg of the cruise and are wait listed for the same on this cruise. I'm not to keen on the idea of having the show before dinner at 5:00, that seems so early, but then again, we will have the whole night open for the smaller shows etc.

We hit double digits on our trip countdown!!!! 99 days and we begin our 2 week trip....soooo excited!

Welcome!!! Great to have you a part of our group!

The kids are going to be so excited! We suprised ours at Christmas 2009 too with our Feb 2010 cruise. They were so happy! A very cool lady on the cruise graphics board make up a Mickey Santa cruise graphic, and personalized it with each of the kids names. We put it in an envelope, and had them open it on Christmas afternoon. I didn't want to lose the excitement over Santa's gifts by giving it to them in the morning, so we just waited. It was very, very cool!

That would be fun - if the Fates of Rotational Dining allow it! The big gap did seem a little odd at first, but I think I'll enjoy having a bit of time to walk off my dinner. I was worried that I'd end up with the later dinner time as I don't like to go to bed too soon after eating. Do they allow footie pajamas on adults in the theater? :rotfl:

Thanks! We never tried to do Palo brunch for our first two cruises. In a perfect world, we can get in on the day we're in Nassau. Keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed!

Hmmmm....its awfully quiet around here.....are we excited for our cruise or what?!?

Let's chat!

Tomorrow night is our late night....gotta stay up to make those reservations! Woo hoo! I can't believe how close we are! I bought a bunch of Disney Gift Cards (Thanks Sam's Club for the very awesome deal!) and used them to make the final payment on the cruise Monday.

Yippee!!

I'm sure excited! Just can't get enough of the sneak peeks of the Dream and all it's wonders! Did change my stateroom to a 'single' rather than the connected room I had. Figured DCL would swap it on me anyway...
Two more weeks before I can make my reservations - sooo looking forward to it! :cool1:

78 days and counting!

We had a friends over last Sunday to talk about the trip. One family came with us last year for CBR and a cruise on the Magic and the other family is coming on this up and coming trip. It was exciting to talk about some of the details for this trip, I can't wait! I'm sure this is the first of many "meetings" with everyone who is coming on this trip....it's what we do!!!

Whew...that was a close one!

I was laying in bed tonight, and all the sudden realized that it was TODAY that I could start booking! I sprang up, scared the liver out of my husband, and ran for the computer. Poor guy!

All the Palo brunches are taken. I was on at 12:01 EST! Sheesh people. Give us silver castaway club members a chance! Oh well. They had dinner available but I passed on it.

Anyone hear anymore about there being three show times? My TA and I got into it the other day. She swears there's nothing about three shows, but I keep telling her I'm sure I read it somewhere.

So sorry about Palo, BUT don't forget, as soon as you board, find out where the Palo people are and I bet you have a good chance of getting a reservation once on the ship.

Hi dunbarfamily,
Are you still looking for another family to split the transportation costs with? My husband and I are interested. :) Thanks!!

Yes! I haven't had any other replies on sharing transportation, and I was just thinking the other day that I should repost my original post about this. Where are you staying the night before the cruise? We'll be at Port Orleans Riverside. First time staying there!

Right now, we'd be at 8 seats total, which would put us in the ever stylish 10 passenger Club Wagon for 151.00 one way. Round trip it would be 292.00.

I think should reserve no later than 45 days in advance. Hopefully a few more people will jump on board and save some money with us!

If anyone else is interested, please let me know soon!

Thanks!

Following is a repost of my original message for everyone's information:

If this is your 1st Disney Cruise, how were you able to book Palo and Remy already? I thought you had to be a member of the Castaway Club to book early...

We booked a concierge level room which allows us to book dining reservations early. Even booking early, the options were still very few for the spa treatments, and several of the dinner reservations had already been taken. I felt lucky to get anything! :)

Do we want to set a cut off date? What are everyone's thoughts?

Maybe we should randomly post things to bump our thread to the main DIS page to get more people involved! :rotfl:

I sailed solo on a Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Wonder cruise a few years ago and am closest of friends now with the people that I met on the Wonder that trip! I'll let you know as soon as I have a Stateroom number.

I have 2nd seating for dinner.

No excursions. I will try to book Palo and Remy when I get onboard. I just booked the trip last week (impulsively!), so I missed a lot of the pre-planning. Usually I just grab a cab over to Atlantis when we hit Nassau. On Castaway Cay, I'll either walk or tram over to Serenity Bay, sit by the water, eat BBQ and head back to the ship for a quiet afternoon by Quiet Cove pool.

How about you?

Hey Purdue Mouse!

You will love the Fish Extender experience:) I assume you have a FE or know what they are? If not, you can Google them and see- I made mine with felt and a glue gun-lol. You can also buy them on Ebay if you want a really nice one. Just hang it up as soon as you get on board and get to your room. We received gifts for each of us individually and also some were for the whole family (chocolate, puzzles, stickers, stamps, mini-alcohol bottles:thumbsup2, etc.). Some people gave gifts everyday, some just once, some put their names on their gifts, some just dropped things anonymously into the pockets... Personally, we had 3 cabins for our family last year, so each cabin gave gifts one time during the cruise. We each picked a different night to give them out. On pirate night, my in-laws gave pirate-themed gifts. The kids loved exploring the ship and being "cruise fairies":wizard:
Hopefully that covers it for you. We can't wait to see y'all in 3 weeks! Also, if either of the single cruising ladies want to join in the FE'ers, we'd love to have you!

Hope to meet some others that are sailing alone and maybe meet some new friends.

See you all there!

Sharon! I'm sorry, I haven't read through the posts in a while. We have room for two more. Your flight time should work well. I sent you a personal message. If you didn't get it, you can email me at dunbarfamily at freeway dot net.

The FE list is complete, well almost! We are still waiting for room numbers for TexasKate, hopefully that will come soon. My hope is that everyone will print out their own copy of the FE list to take with them (on our last cruise, the organizer brought copies for everyone). The list is in a Google Doc, the link is in the first post of this thread. Does that work for everyone?

So do we want to try to have a Disboard Meet on the Dream? I would love to meet everyone, being on the new ship, I have no idea where to meet!! Anyone have any ideas?

We leave in 5 days!

Hey Claudiapenna,
Save a little extra room in your suitcase. I work in a hospital and my good friend is manager of the breast care center. She gave me some pink gift items for you. princess:

To the Thoms: how do we handle FE if we get a different cabin assignment. I mean, does DCL sometime change or upgrade during check in procedures? Looking forward to living the "Dream" in 16 days:dance3:

That is so kind of you Purdue Mouse! That just about makes me cry! I think I'm getting too emotional these days. I cried during the Dream christening ceremony too!!! Especially when they did the Mariner's prayer and Mickey, Jessie, Buzz and the crew bowed their heads and folded their hands. Bring on the Kleenex!

Here's a deep, dark secret....I very much dislike packing. :headache: I dislike it so much that I wake up in the middle of the night worrying about it. Isn't that nuts? So, who's organized and willing to help me?!? I'll love you forever.

We're gonig to be at Disney from Feb 5-10, then the cruise, then one more night at Disney, then flying home Monday. We're staying the first night at Port Orleans, then Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at BLT and wel'll have a washer/dryer in our room. After the cruise, we'll be at Pop for the one night.

We'll be gone for 10 days. Basically, we need an outfit for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I can wash clothes once we get into BLT.

Here's what I'm thinking. Tell me what you think.

For the kids:
Three pairs of long pants
Three pairs of shorts
Three long sleeve t's
Three short sleeve t's
Two hoodies
One dressier outfit each for boys and girls (like kahkis for boys, dress for girls, in case they want to dine with us, though on the last cruise they stayed in kids clubs at their request)
Undies and socks

Does that sound like too much/too little? I just don't really know what to expect for weather at WDW or on the cruise. The weather this time of year swings so much. I'm guessing on long pants with t's during the day, and hoodies at night. I also worry about kids getting clothes stained, so I'll make sure all the pieces are mix and match. I'll have laundry available at BLT, so I will plan on washing there.

Maybe I should only bring two short outfits?? And four pairs of pants? Should I bring an extra shirt per kid just in case they spill or something?? Ooooorrrr, maybe I shouldn't. That way, if they spill and I don't have an extra shirt, it'll be a good excuse to buy them an extra at the parks, right? RIGHT?!?! ;)

Ugh. I dislike this very much! I need help. I need an assistant that does my packing for me. I need people. I'd love to have people. "Oh yeah, my people will take care of that". :)

I only check one bag when we fly. Too cheap to check more!! :rotfl2:The three older kdis each have a suitcase that they carry on the plane by themselves, and my husband, baby and I can fit our clothes in the checked suitcase.

Yikes. HELP!!!!!

Doing the happy dance! Only 11 days until we leave!!!

Hello Brandy-

Packing for Florida this time of year is always challenging! We always overpack because you just never know (I also become OCD about checking Florida weather for days before we leave). I tell you what I pack, or I should say overpack! :rotfl:

I have my girls pack 10 outfits each:
2 long pants,
2 or 3 pairs of capris
5 or 6 shorts/skorts
10 - 12 short sleeve tops
light jacket
nice dress
nice skirt outfit
swim suit and cover-up
undies & socks x 10 and......
shoes - tennis shoes, flip flops, dress shoes & Keens

Okay, this may seem like a alot (my DH thinks so!) :scared1: but remember 1) we will be in WDW for 8 days and then B2B - 7 nights total on the Dream. 2) the weather is sooo different not only day to day but also from WDW to ship and low to mid 70's is warm/hot for us Seattlites (this is the arguement I use with my DH).

The BEST traveling/packing advise I EVER got was in Family Fun magazine; they suggested taking each outfit and put it in a large gallon size ziplock, squeeze out the air, zip it up and label with child's name and I also wrote the item inside ex. Sammie, shorts or Kenzee Capris. The kids loved it, I loved it! This gives them independence as well as freeing up your time on the trip finding the matching pieces and convincing them that it was perfect! Also, it helped save space as each outfit was vacuum packed. This is the first year I won't be doing it because now that my girls are older, they want choices ;).

Good luck with your packing, hope this helped a little!

Hi Brandy,

I know it's not a pleasant thing to think about during a cruise but if you do under pack, there is a laundry room available to pop in a quick load and get some clean clothes. I've done that before in a pinch. I like packing as light as possible since I usually end up bringing home a lot of clothes that were not even worn.

See you in 2 weeks!

Sounds good to me. I'm not familiar with DCL yet, but I'm sure I won't be able to miss the statue.
We are arriving on the 9th, staying at an airport hotel and taking Ace transp. to cape canaveral late morning. After the cruise we will be going to Universal's Royal Pacific.
Don't forget a new pillow case for the kids - drop off in guest services for character signatures.

Thanks Sharon. I just looked at a thread here on Dis and it looks like our rooms are RIGHT across from the laundry room on our floor! That's what we get for being in the "basement'. It drives my husband nuts when I say basement as we have an oceanview room! :lmao:

I actually don't mind doing laundry on vacation. I do about 15 loads a week with sheets and all, so I'm used to it. :laundy: I'd rather do laundry at Disney than at home any day! :)

Denise-Thank you!! Oddly, we do this very thing when we go camping but it never occured to me to do it while traveling!! Sheesh!

I'm glad my kids are still young enough to wear what I lay out for them without question. I know the day is coming all too soon where that won't be the case. Thanks for sharing your packing list with me. At first I thought that is a ton of clothes, but then I realized you'll be gone for a long time. And yes, young ladies do need to have options! It might be a pink shirt day with white kahkis, or maybe a orange shirt with blue jean capris....choices, choices!!

Thanks again ladies!!

I finished my FE's tonight, so excited to share!

Good news ladies! I talked to my travel agent today. She said that DCL has been very, very slow mailing out cruise documents lately. She said there isn't anything in the documents that you HAVE to have. There are luggage tags in there, and a few forms, both of which are available at the port. So don't worry!!

That being said, she just got mine in the mail at her office today.

Very cool! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I know the odds are not in my favor since we had to get connecting rooms. But here's to hoping for a little magic!:wizard: The TA said she'd check today, and that I should also check when we arrive at the port. Reason #45 that I'm glad we're getting to the port early. :)

I'm going to pass on the FEing. Too much going on at work to get anything done other than maybe if I'm lucky... packing.

I'll be watching the fun though!!!

Hi all! Wish I were sailing with you, bust just came back from the NY Cruise on the Magic! Got a close encounter with the Dream, though, you will LOVE the ship!

Just is just for a testimonial of one of the bravest women I know. She is a warrior , a fighter, and she will be celebrating defeating breast cancer with such courage and bravery I had never encountered in anyone before.

I am so proud to have her as one of my best friends and a "soul sister", and my heart is filled with joy for her and her family.

Hey Everyone,
I'm sure everyone is ready to cruise the Dream. I know we are!! :cheer2:
We are wrapping up our FE gifts and wanted to double check to see if we are meeting anywhere onboard to confirm cabin numbers. I like to map out my way so that we can do it efficiently. The only cabin numbers missing are for TexasKate -- anyone know if they've been assigned a cabin number?
Can't wait to be sailing.

I'm a little confused :upsidedow Just picked up my cruise docs yesterday, but when I checked online, it shows a cabin change that doesn't match my cruise docs. Maybe the upgrade fairy DID come:wizard: I'm now in 9144.
I guess we should meet as previously suggested (just before sailaway party in the atrium by Donald Duck I believe)

So are we meeting somewhere to get room numbers? Or should everyone repost their room numbers? Ours stayed the same :)

I think we need to do one or the other. Either repost numbers, or meet. I'd prefer a reposting of numbers as I never know what the day will bring with four little people. :rotfl:

Ours are the same. Sigh.

I would prefer reposting as well. With everyone getting on ship at different times and little ones possibly needing naps.

Don't worry, I'm there with ya, I guess 2nd floor didn't get upgrades:sad2:

I just found this thread... this is our first cruise ever...

Is it too late to join in the FE???

Stateroom - 7170
Dis Name - Wendy&Grumpy
Family Name - Solomon & Nelson
First Names - Diana & Gary
No children this trip (we promised them we'd book a family cruise for the fall;))
Celebrations - We're celebrating my ability to tolerate Gary for 4 years. :rotfl::lovestruc
Allergies none

If it's too late to join in, I understand... just let me know as I'd love to participate (even if I do have to leave Grumpy behind to do it :lmao:)

We are still in 6040. I think reposting is a good idea. Last time we cruised on the Magic and were supposed to meet up with the group and on our way (right after Sail Away Party), we lost my son. Yeah, not a good feeling. He was safely found (that you God) Just an FYI --the ship has a great lost kid system. He was in the kids club within five minutes of him being "missing". He did the right thing by telling a Cast Member that he couldn't find his family. They whisk them to the kids club and then direct you there (after repeatedly assuring you that he's fine) to pick them up. Needless to say, we never made the meet up.
Long post to say we are still in the same stateroom. :rolleyes1

I was reading something about portable "wave" phones in each stateroom. They are for use on board or on shore so families can check in with eachother.

I picked 11yo Abi up at school and told her we had a mission - as soon as we walked into Target she came up with a great idea  - so we now have 19 kids gifts & 11 adult gifts ready to go!

...and a tween who is very excited for her first cruise in October (she's not joining us this time but was quite happy to be able to help with the gifts and even more excited :yay: knowing that she will be participating later on!).

Thanks again for including us!

We had a great 3 day cruise -- just waaayyyy too short. The Dream was outstanding!! We booked for another one and said it would be a 7 day next time.

Just wanted to say Thank You  for all the great fish extender gifts!!! We had so much fun coming back to find our extender stuffed full of great surprises. A special thanks for all the birthday wishes for me and my daughter. It was an unforgettable birthday celebration.

What a great time! I'm prebooked for Dec 1. Can't wait to get back onboard.
I took a look at Club Pirate on Youtube and it looks like Jack was supposed to come from the top of the funnel to the stage. Wonder why they changed it???

Ship was just amazing. Need to get back on to finish exploring!

It was great to meet everyone!!! Hope to see everyone on future cruises!

Just got back to Chicago tonight. The Dream exceeded our expectations. We had a great time - thanks to all of you who extended the magic with clever and thoughtful gifts. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up. I stopped by the atrium before the sail away celebration(s), but no luck. Too bad about the weather. We took advantage of a few spa services and enjoyed one of the best views on the ship. My 12 y.o. loved the Edge.

Oh, I didn't find a participating family in 7016 and guest services didn't have record of the name??

The oceaneers club opened at 6pm on port Canaveral day and closed at midnight. The lab closed at 1am.
On Naussau day the hours were from 9am - 12 MD (club) and 9am -1 am (lab)
On Castaway Cay day - 4pm 12 MD (club and lab).

Pirates night took place on Nassau day with events at 8pm, and 10pm with fireworks at 10:30. Lots of families and couples dressed the parts.

On Debarkation morning, breakfast was at 6:45am 1st seating and 8 am 2nd seating in the 3 rotational restaurants. No buffets and no room service. Everyone had to be off by 9am. It went surprisingly smooth with little waiting, but we were off the boat by 8:10am We used ACE transportation for a 3 way plan. It was a little cheaper than Disney transport and they were always on time. Hope this helps.

What a fabulous trip, I can't believe it's over:sad2:! We were lucky enough to spend 8 days at the parks then followed by the B2B cruise, now I'm going through a deep post-Disney vacation blues. ;)

The ship was amazing and it was fun to have AFV on the ship (one my youngest daughter's favorite shows). Sammie, my youngest, was able to get a shirt and have it signed by Tom Bergeron, she was thrilled.

It was sad that the weather was so chilly on CC. We took advantage and walked the island, something I have never done before (usually too busy laying in the sun with a DOTD in hand).

FE was fabulous but like the pp, I couldn't find 7016 (Weittenhiller Family). I too asked the front desk and they said there was no one by that name on the ship....what happened??? :confused3

I look forward to hearing about everyone's experience. I was actually thinking about doing a trip report, I thought that reliving the experience might help me out of blues:lovestruc!

I cruised on the Dream on Feb. 10th and had an AMAZING TIME! One of my favorite vacations to date! Cant wait to possibly sail on the Fantasy on an East/Western Caribbean cruise OR an 8-night Bahamian cruise from NYC next year! What deck was everyone on? I was on deck 6 for my stateroom.

I agree, It was amazing having AFV on board. I watch Tom on Dancing with the Stars every season and was thrilled to meet him in real life. The ship was huge and amazing, and I wish I was there right now! Cant wait to sail on that wonderful ship again. it was clean and organized!

I am also sad about the bad weather on CC. My family (I went with some extended family as well) and I went on a bike ride on the island and had an awesome time until it began to rain, then we high-tailed it out of there and back to our warm staterooms and the warm showers on the ship. :D

Cant wait to hear back!

I had a great time, too! It was by far the most relaxing trip I've had in a long time. I enjoyed sailing on the Dream so much that I've booked one of the Eastern Caribbean sailings to San Juan on the Fantasy! In fact, I've chosen the very same stateroom. I was on deck 5 aft. :)
