Last weekend I purchased the All Day Ticket PPV of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. Between the showings, they showed previews of other PPV or DirecTV programming. About 2 minutes before the movie started (I saw this twice), they ran an ad for Playboy TV. Um, is it me or is that an example of *bad* timing?

BTW, we enjoyed the movie. :)

We did Harry Potter on PPV - our first PPV ever. While we didn't see a playboy ad, we did see ads for movies that were clearly not for children. I think maybe it's time to start writing letters and e-mailing the powers that be. IMO, that's just not appropriate at all. We were thinking of doing PPV of Jimmy Neutron - if I see a playboy ad, I'm writing a letter! I guess I'd better not leave the room while we're waiting for the movie to start!

This is a good example why we rarely have the tv on anymore unless one of us is in the room with Cam, so we're at least there to talk about what we're seeing and/or distract him if need be. :teeth: It doesn't seem to matter anymore what you watch on tv... whether it be PPV, or any of the regular cable channels. The actual program you're watching could be perfectly acceptable, but then they'll toss in a COMPLETELY unacceptable (IMO) advertisement for another show and/or channel! Another good reason to stock up on videos/DVDs. :(
