7 month window coming up...a few questions

Wednesday will be 7 months before our trip to WDW.

I'm on a waitlist for BWV starting Nov 25. They said they would book it, and then let me know, if it becomes available. Do I therefore NOT need to contact them AT ALL?

Meanwhile, I'm assuming I should try to book elsewhere. We're really big on location (why we purchased at BWV); between VWL and OKW, is VWL the better location...at least boat access to MK? (right?)

With reservations at OKW or VWL, I still remain on BWV waitlist, correct?

If I instead booked a room at BC/YC using points, they would become reservation points, and if the waitlist came through for BWV, I wouldn't be able to then use those points for BWV...do I have that right?

Something to think about...VWL does not have monorail access and to get to Magic Kingdom you either take the bus or boat. You also have a lengthy drive to all other partks whereas OKW is relatively close to EPCOT and MGM and Downtown Dis but lengthy drive to Magic Kingdom. I think it is a matter of preference of resort and which parks you plan to frequent most....I tend to like OKW because I like to drive to each park and control my own destiny rather than rely on Disney Transportation. When I am at the mercy of Disney transportation I would much rather stay at BWV.

What I would do...though I'm almost as new as you :)....is book whichever you prefer/can get at 7 months and double check with the cm that you're still on the wait list for BWV, making it clear that BWV is still your preference.

I think you're right about the YC/BC....so I wouldn't do that if I were you.

I have a question. Did you use your 11 month window to book BWV? I am just curious why you were not able to get what you want at 11 months at BWV. Since I am in the process of buying BWV points, this is important to me. If things are not available at 11 months out, why would I want to add on there? Thanks for any insight!

Lisa, we closed on our BWV resale in the beginning of February, 9 1/2 months out from our November trip. :(
