VWL bus concern

We are thinking about adding on points at VWL. It seems to be a beautiful resort,and a great proximity to MK but what about the other parks ? Is the bus situation that bad at VWL ? I've read some pretty discouraging reports.

we stayed at the wilderness lodge last year and did wait awhile for the buses and that was in march. people have told me that because they were adding the villas, that they in turn, would also be adding more buses. the most we waited for a bus was 30 minutes and that was to get to epcot.

We've stayed at WL twice, and both times we've taken the buses with no problem. We've also had a car, so sometimes we would be avoiding the busses but all in all it was ok. The only time it seemed to take forever was taking the bus back from DD really late at night - seemed to take forever.

We were at VWL in March and never used the busses, but for 2 days we saw a CM standing out by the busses counting people and busses. Dunno what he was checking, but must have been working on tweaking the frequency/load aspect.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge last Thanksgiving and did not think the transportation was bad at all! The longest wait was maybe 15 minutes. Busses come very frequently for the T & T center and we took it one time and transferred to the monorail to get to Epcot. Very impressed with the ease of taking the launch to the MK. I would not let transportation keep you from staying or purchasing at WL.

We stayed at WL last September and had no problem at all with the launch to MK or with busses to Epcot, Studios, AK, or DD. Longest wait was about 10 minutes.

September is a slow time so I can't comment on busier months. But since we just bought VWL, I sure hope that transportation is smooth during busier times too!

I've stayed at numerous Disney resorts and all I can say is that the buses are the worst at WL. Just my opinion!
