In almost six years of taking DS to day care, school or summer camp, today is the first time I forgot to bring his lunch!
Oh, man! I prepared it and packed enough snacks for a safari. I just hope it's in the refrigerator and not on our dining room table.
I'm going to meet him at 11:30 and take him to McDonald's. Hopefully, that'll make it up to him. He was upset when I realized I forgot it, but glad when I said I'd take him to Mickey D's.
Happens to the best of us!!!

Wow, what a great mom you are. Taking him out to McDonalds? Heck I'd like to forget my lunch more often if that happened to me. LOL... Don't worry about it, these things happen. :)

It will be some good quality time with your son, which is always nice...
Just make sure that in the morning, you always grab the right brown bag off the table....it would pretty rough for your son to get to school and find out that rather than a sandwich, he really had a "hot lunch".

3 weeks from now do you think he would have remembered what was in his lunch today? Will he remember that his Mom came and picked him up and took him to McDonalds? Most probably. You more than made up for it, Janice. Good save! :) :) Hope you had a great lunch with your son. :)

If I recall my childhood correctly, lunch at McDonalds was sort of the holy grail of childhood dining.
I wouldn't worry about it. I suspect your son was thrilled at this unexpected good fortune.
