I need accountability to succeed at this journey to get healthy and lose weight. I am going to be accountable here. I use to do WW and love that you can eat whatever as long as you keep track. Starting today I am going to keep a log of the good things I do like exercise and healthy eating.
Last week I started a walking routine. I walked up to 2 miles a day Monday - Saturday. Today I am taking the day off.
My goals for the upcoming week
Walk at least 2 miles a day for 5 of the 7 days
Eat 5 servings of fruit/veggies
I know these goals are realistic even though I will have my 3 grandkids for a visit.
I know I can...I know I can... I know I can.

Well I spent most of the day (6 hours) on the road picking up two grandkids. Their mom injured her foot and is in a cast so I am taking the kids for a few days to make it easier for her.
I did not walk yesterday.
I did get in 3 servings of fruits as I chose to eat at a chinese buffet instead of MacDonalds. They had pineapple, oranges and bananas. I did eat some other things that were not the best choices but I ate lightly instead of the usual stuffing.
And for lunch DH wanted to go to our local mom and pop restaurant. I love their cheeseburgers that they make with very lean burger. I also always order their onlion rings that are large and yummy. I only ate 2/3 of the burger and maybe 1/2 of the onion rings.
For my snack yesterday I had animal crackers. They will probably be my snack for the week. A whopping 17 of them are only 3 points.
Already did my 2 miles for today and pushing a stroller with a 4 year old.
Till tomorrow....

Today I pushed a stroller for 2 miles. Then at physical therapy they surprised me with a 1/4 mile walk on the treadmill.
I did get in my 5 fruits/veggies.
1/2 cup strawberries + 1;2 cup blueberries with 1/2 cup skim milk for breakfast smoothie
1/2 cup applesause,1 cup peas for dinner
All in all not a bad day but could have been much better since I had pizza for dinner and mac and cheese for lunch

Yesterday I was able to get in my 2 mile walk. It sure is more difficult with the 2 grandkids here. But lastnight around 8:00 I went out and did my laps.
As for the 5 servings...That did not happen. The only fruit/veggie I got in was cucumbers for dinner.
The kids go home tonight so tommorrow will be better. I am going to make sure I get in both my goals today even though I will be on the road for 5 hoursto meet dad to take them home. It sure has been a great visit.

Good luck on your journey to good health! I think it is terrific that you are focusing on the good things that you do each day. A very positive outlook!
Keep it up!

Thanks! I thought that this time I would try to focus on the good parts and see if that helps me to stay on track.

Yesterday I did not get in my walk and I did not get in my 5 servings. It was our anniversary and we went out to dinner. I only ate 1/2 a roll and only one glass of wine. I ordered fruit instead of potatoes and ended up so full from the fried fish and coleslaw that I did not touch the fruit.
Lunch was a salad with cucumber, ranch dressing and a slice of buttered bread. I probably should not have had to bread.
Breakfast was fruit smoothie made with 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup blueberries and 1/2 cup skim milk.
Well what do you know??? Now that I look at it I DID have my 5 servings. YEAH!
The hershey's candy bar and 4 pieces of taffy were probably not good choices. Tomorrow will be a better day.
