ABOUT US:
We met through his roommate and my sister rather serendipitously. My sister went out with his roommate for a little while and also struck up a friendship with Neil. She then happened to invite me to a dinner that she was having with some of her friends, one of which was Neil. I am by nature very shy, but I decided to go. Luckily for me, Neil was very enamored with me from the get go and despite my social awkwardness and hermit like lifestyle, persuaded my sister to give him my contact information. Hooray! We have now been together for about four years, it will be five years once we are married next year.

I love his over-the-top personality and confidence, he keeps me smiling and entertained from the time we get up to the time we go to sleep.

***update: we are no longer doing moo cards or using this cardboard holder (wedding plans change so much I have noticed!)***

Our guest list is about 80-120. My fiancé has divided it into "first tier" and "second tier". The first tier will be receiving their save-the-dates in September. Depending on how many of those guests RSVP, we will then send out a second round of save-the-dates.

We have decided to use moo cards as our escort/place cards. We are hoping to use our engagement photos as the table names, and have the coordinating photo placed on the back of each moo card. (This gets more complicated if my fiance has anything to do with it... right now I'll just post what we have agreed to so far :))

I do not wish to spend too much of the budget on place card holders, so I have come across a paper accordion do-it-yourself project.

This is my practice one:
http://ugc.theknot.com/262867-medium.jpg

Of course, this means I will have to make a zillion of these things. I would like to use either yellow or purple card-stock instead for the real ones, since the moo cards will be white. Also, I would like to place a hidden mickey hole-punch behind each card. (My fiancé splurged and bought the hole punch without any specific idea what we were going to use it for so I figure this project would be perfect for it)

moo cards: http://us.moo.com/en/

they are pretty much just business cards that can have an individual photo/pic on the back of each one. we have not exactly decided what we are going to use image-wise just now... still trying to decide how we are going to theme the tables. *hint* we are leaning towards utilizing the pook-a-looz!

So these are the save-the-dates that I made through vistaprint. They were very easy to design, and were incredibly inexpensive!

They are magnets the size of business cards. I wanted something simple, but would convey the location/theme/color of the wedding.

So my fiancé and I finally agreed on the favors! Well, more that I capitulated...

I wanted something useful or edible (I was really leaning towards edible), and he wanted something disney, cool, unique (and so on). He found these key-chains on ebay for a pretty good price. We needed about 140 so we are looking for one more box.

One thing that sold me on these is that they can double as escort "cards". We are going to place labels on the top that will include the guests name and table. I like that it will be easy to set up to look even and organized.

Each one is a blind box, so no one will know which one they have until they open it.

We are going to make our own centerpieces using pook-a-looz. They are so adorable! Though they don't seem to be that popular and have been on clearance. We are concerned they will be discontinued before we finish all the collections, so some tables may have to be duplicates.

We are also using the ride attraction posters as the table names. We had them laminated and will have them on top of the centerpieces. Though we think they are a bit tall, so we might take them down after everyone is seated.

The middle vase will be filled with beads to anchor the poster and glowsticks to give it some depth. This is the from the creative mind of my fiancé, and is a much scaled down version of what he wanted to do. Funds and physics limited us some :earsboy:

I wanted to stay with the disney theme in an understated way plus be something that they could wear over and over again.

Now I am just looking for bracelets, not sure exactly what I want yet...

Their gifts are going to be handbags, I think I'm going to go with tokidoki.

Those earings are cute. DF was just in a wedding this weekend and the groom got them all RM Williams belts with their name's stamped across the back. They're really nice, so now we're trying to figure out something similar that we can get our bridal party. It's so hard!

I think that shopping for girls is way easier than shopping for boys! We are having a hard time trying to decide what to get the groomsman, but I have so many ideas for the bridesmaids!

BecBennett

I'm struggling for my bridesmaids too! It's all too hard! :lmao:

I'll probably get them some jewellry for the wedding day, but some of my bridesmaids where silver, but the wedding day jewellry will be gold, so they probably won't wear it again :confused3

I also don't want anything breakable, because we all have to fly, so there's a pretty big chance of something breaking...

many of our guest will be flying as well, thats why i originally wanted edible favors, just so the guests wouldn't have to lug more things onto the plane. but a little key chain should be easy enough to accommodate :)

Oh Congrats on your wedding at Disneyland DF and I adore Disneyland!
Do you know the seller of your key chains that would be an awesome idea for our at home reception! Something that no one else has done!

I have yet to try on dresses, and I would really like to get something inexpensive but I'm in looove with this dress. Too bad the smallest size is four, that seems like a lot of altering.

And these are the shoes that I'm considering:

I love the Vinylmation favor idea! So Disney and I bet the surprise will be fun for your guests.

And thank you for this photo of the SBP at night! I hadn't seen this one yet, and it definitely helps with my ability to visualize it in the dark!

Any updates on your planning? That dress is georg!!! I haven't started trying on dresses yet either (but my wedding is further away haha) but I heard that wedding sizes are way different than normal sizes. They usually run way small. Maybe the 4 will fit better than you think?
