I'm going on vacation to NOva Scotia/PEI for a week and plan to let loose w/ the camera. I really did not want to bring the laptop if I can avoid it.

I just got my new Canon 7d. I'm sure there is some math thing I could figure out w/ how many of my shots fit into whatever GB card but :confused3.

SO how many shots on average fit on your 16GB / 32GB cards?

What's the cheapest place you've found to order?

Thanks!!

I am assuming that you have the camera and at least one memory card right? Put it in to see how many shots fit and then do the math. (example: If it is a 4GB card then multiply by 4 to get 16GB capacity or by 8 to get 32GB capacity)

I buy my memory from Newegg, Buy.com, Adorama, and B&H. I trust them all and know that I can do a return if there is a problem. Avoid Ebay as there are many fakes out there.

Newegg or Amazon (direct from Amazon.com) are great places to pick up memory.

I have a Xsi and use a 8 gig card and on RAW is only holds about 600. On high setting it will take over 1100. on the lowest setting it will take closer to 4000. I guess it depends on the setting. and you can get "cheap" and they work just fine 8 and 16 gig cards at Wal-mart too incase you don't like to shop online.

I suggest buying more memory cards and using the highest resolution setting all the time.

The camera instructions will usually give an estimate of how many pictures will fit on a memory card for high, medium, etc. resolution.
