Our cable t.v. went out and he just sat here - staring at the blue screen - shaking his left leg like crazy.. When I pointed out that staring at the screen was not going to make the cable come back on any sooner he just gave me this blank stare and said, "Well - do you have any movies here?" I said, "Yes - Shirley Temple in 'Baby Take A Bow' - or Dumbo.."
He sat here and watched them both.. Twice!!!!
Is there a twelve-step program or something?? That's bad!!!!!!

Oh C. Ann, I know y'all have had a tough time of late, but this just made me LOL. I mean really LOL.
I have 8 Blue's Clues tapes that DS does not watch anymore ('Momma, they are for little kids' he is all of 5  ). So if you think DH might enjoy them, I would be happy to send them...

C.Ann, he sounds like my kids (and, at times, DH).
We just returned from the Eastern Caribbean DCL cruise. Every day on the cruise, the kids just wanted to watch Toon Disney and Cartoon Network on the TV in the stateroom   .
I had to tell them that I paid $$$$$$$$$$$ for this %&*@# cruise, and they were going to get their behinds out the door and HAVE FUN!!!!

I can do without TV during the day (and prefer it that way), but it has to be on when I go to sleep. I've been known to break out some Disney tapes if the cable was out when I was trying to get to sleep.
lol...and I thought we were all bad with the computer....hugs

Looks like C.Ann's headed for Blockbuster! I'd hit the "classic" section. The older movies rent for a lot less than the "current releases". Better yet, hit the library. We borrowed the limit - 10 videos - for our guys to watch in the car on the way to Hilton Head:rolleyes: Sad, I know but it was as much for our sanity as theirs!

LOL, C.Ann! When we had no power for over 24 hours, I had to run to the store and get batteries for our little hand held TV's. It was so funny watching my kids try to watch this little screen! Then they were complaining because there was no cable and they had to watch boring TV shows...and HORRORS!!! it was in black and white!!! DH was watchjing the small colored one!!
