Basic info on DVC "rental"

I'm new to this particular board, but have a question about renting. We are not DVC members but heard about renting units that aren't being used by members. What's included when you rent - such as towels, housekeeping, etc.? Or do the renters have to do it all themselves? Hope that's not a "dumb" question. :cool:

If you book a room directly with Disney you get full housekeeping every day which even includes loading the dishwasher. If you have a member make arrangements for you, you get member housekeeping. If you are staying for a week you will get what they call trash & towel on day 4. They will empty the trash and give you fresh towels. You are supplied with towels for the amount the room can hold (4 sets for a studio/1 bedroom; 8 sets for a 2 bedroom; 12 sets for GV). 1 bedrooms and above have washer/dryers so it's easy to freshen the towels. If you stay for more than 8 nights you'll get a full cleaning on Day 4; Trash & Towel on Day 8 and then the system repeats until you check-out. Additional sets of towels can also be paid for and you can pay for additional full cleanings.

Sure appreciate that. Guess I'd better do some more research before we make any plans for next year. I don't mind ordinary housekeeping. We are thinking studio because it will just be two of us this time! Generally I'm tidying up all the time anyway - drives him crazy! Thanks again. :cool:
