I can't say I've ever noticed them discussed here.

Let's suppose I find out next month I can afford to go to WDW again and want to go soon--is there a way of getting a good deal on a resort at short notice like this?

I don't know of any last minute "Disney" deals Janice, but I have lucked out with Priceline.

Try Expedia. We didnt book at last minute but they had some really good rates. Im pretty sure the didnt sell every room package they had so you may still be able to snag a good deal.

Disney CRO worth a try... things aren't full by any means... I called Aug 1 for two nights Aug 9,10... and got the maximum discount(FL resident for me)... I booked standard(parking lot at Coronado) and got water view corner room without asking for it... and I'm oogly... Good luck...
