View Full Version : My DD received a scholarship from our Village

For good citizenship. Its a $500 scholarship applied to her College tuition and everybit helps :) She had to have letters of recomendation from teachers and our Pastor. Tonight we go to the Village Hall and she accepts it and thanks everyone. Congratulations to Erin, we are proud of you :) She is also leaving for school Thursday :( , an emotional week here.

Congratulations to Erin! That's a wonderful achievement! :)

And I know what you're going through, Patrick. Our oldest moved into his dorm at UGA last week, and started classes yesterday. We're very proud of him, but I do miss him. Just when he was turning into a rational adult, he moves out. ;)

Congratulations Erin!!! An award for good citizenship is one of the most honorable that you can earn IMO....way to go sweetie!!
Ah Patrick....I don't envy you on Thursday.:( But you can revel in tonight!!!;)

I apologize for not knowing, but will someone please tell me what a village is that Patrick is talking about? Is it the same as a neighborhood?
