Good morning, everyone. And it is a good morning, much needed rain has arrived, the temperature is down and we will finally get out of that darn bedroom and I'll be able to cook a decent meal. Yippy! So, here we go with Tuesday's edition.

There are over 58 millon dogs in the U.S.

You blink over 10,000,000 times a year. (I'm surprised we see anything at all)

Baby robins eat 14 feet of earthworms every day.

During your lifetime you'll eat about 60,000 pounds of food. That's the weight of about 6 elephants. (Yikes!)

Dolphins sleep with one eye open. (who knew)

Every time you lick a stamp, you're consuming 1/10 of a calorie. (watch out for those stamps, ladies)

The average person has over 1460 dreams a year. (I'd tell you some of mine but I'm afraid the post would get locked)

No two cornflakes look the sme.

Only 5% of the salt produced winds up on the dinner table. The rest is used for packing meat, building roads. feeding livestock, tanning leather and manufactuing glass, soap and washing compounds.

A sphygmomanometer measures blood preassure. (believe it or not, I pass out every time I have my blood pressure taken. I can't stand the pressure of the cuff.)

By age sixty most people have lost half their taste buds. (Now there's something to look forward to.)

Have a great day

Kathy

Thank you! Do you know how much these things help me every day? I use them every week in my company newsletter and just reading them puts a smile on my face. Thanks for taking the time to share them with us.

A&H's Mom, you are most welcome and I'm glad I can be of help. I really do have fun researching this stuff and sharing it with all of you. Kinda takes my mind of the day to day routine and as you all know I don't come to work to work, I come to work to DIS.

Well, I guess that'll keep me on a diet in my old age.
