Check out Dave's site for some possible problem rooms on decks #1 and #2. Go to the FAQ's stateroom section at www.dcltribute.com

We stayed in 2142-which is the same part of the ship, but on the port side and never had any problems.

We were in 2642 -2648 on Aug 3. They are not silent rooms. There are vibrations from the engines and it gets especially noisy when coming or leaving a port...this occurs very early in the morning. My sister, who had the 2646 & 48 complained and got another room on deck 7 for sleeping, they also gave her a free massage on Castaway Cay.
We did ok in our rooms and found that by stuffing a comb in between the ceiling and the pull-down bed we could stop most of the noise.
I think you should try to get different rooms.

Oh Man-- you gotta be kidding me?? that figures. I thought it was a good thing- but if it's noisey......ugh. my luck!! Do you think I should wait until we are getting ready to check in to get different rooms or should I start complaining now about it?? Thanks for your advise

We had one of the "noisy" room, 2126. In fact we like the location that we booked the same room. The only noise we heard was was the day we arrived back at the port when the ship was turning around. It helped us get up and face "reality" that the cruise was over ... booo :( Other than that the noise was barely noticable.
Now with that said, if you are sensitive to noise and not n-knowing when you are cruising, value or peak season, I would suggest you call ASAP to see if you can change the room. I would not wait till you get to the ship.

I don't know how hard it is to change rooms, but I'm sure the sooner, the better. It is true that if noises don't bother you too much it would ok, but if you have an option, I would try to change them.
