View Full Version : Just found out we got UPGRADED from cat 11 to cat 9!!!

I am so happy!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc I made our final payment for our Oct 24-27 cruise and found out what stateroom we're in. They said we got a cat 9 instead of cat 11. Yippee.

Was your room a guaranteed room or did you initially have a room assigned to you? Just curious since I have guaranteed room for our Oct. 17 cruise and I still don't know my cabin number. How did you find out?

I called in to pay my final payment and the lady said she'll email me a confirmation of final payment. She emailed me and said this email is to confirm the final payment has been made....yadda yadda and then she said we have good news for you and your party. We have no rooms left in cat 11 and you have been upgraded to a cat 9.

But was your room number already assigned to you? Before you made your final payment?

No- I didn't know our room number either, in fact to be honest, I was really getting discouraged. I mean I fork out all thsi money for this cruise and I figured we'd get something in the mail- some kind of information -maybe a thanks for reserving your cruise type thing, but nothing. I am the type of person that likes to read any info. on trips and such and kinda prepare for things well in advance ( especially when it involves me spending this kind of MONEY). Now I need to scramble around and try and get our excursions ready. I know-I know if I would've paid the cruise off in full to begin with, but I don't HAVE that kind of money. :rolleyes:

That is odd that you didn't receive some sort of confirmation when you booked the cruise. Did you book through a TA or DCL? We've always received a confirmation showing the details within days of booking. But we book direct (sorry DU)

we booked through Dreams Unlimited back in ......May? I think it was May.
