Where do you find good photography classes? I would like to find one that is entry/mid level just to learn how to use all the different lenses and filters. Are there any books that are really good and in your opinions a must have book. Just shooting for myself but would like to learn (with practice) how to shoot really good pictures. Any suggestions on where to get processed? Also I am looking at Adobe CS5 ( only because I can get it cheap) does anyone have any suggestion on learning to use the program, I don't mind to travel to a class. How did everyone else learn about photography?

I would check out any community or technical schools in the area, or camera stores. I know one of the camera stores here teaches some classes. We have a community college and a technical college in this area. I took a class at each one over the last few years, and they were both pretty good. I got more out of the class at the technical college, but it was a longer duration & more hours each week than the other class.

Oh, a friend of mine took a class that a photographer/friend teaches. It covered the basics and it was just one Saturday. Just one more thing to check out.

Good luck!

I second the community college suggestion.

My only must have book is Photography by Upton and London. You can pick up a used edition pretty cheap. It was my photo I textbook.

First, I suggest getting the blue crane digital DVD for your camera and the one for flash units, either the nikon lighting series or the canon 580ex dvd. Lots of good info.
