My MIL must have her taffy every year from our State Fair. Since I'm at our Fair every day of the 12 day run, I've have quite a list of must eats.

Here's a sample:

Baker's Chicken Coop - this family has for over 20 years now only produced their BBQ chicken at the NYSF. It's just wonderful!

Pizza Frittes - these are 2 foot long strips of fried doe (sp?) sprinkled with sugar and cinnimom (sp?). Has a very different taste then the traditional flat fried doe.

Apple Pie & Ice Cream - this treat has been at the fair for as long as I can remember! I get a few of these during the run.

Dipp'n Dots - Ice cream of the future. It's more available around here now. But it wasn't long ago, I could only find it at the NYSF or WDW.

Chicken Spiedes - from the Gianelli Sausage people. Simply strumptous!!

Baked Corn on the Cob - I have a few of these during the fair. I nice hot but quick snack. Pour butter and add some seasoning. Very good.

I have more. We have an International Building filled with ethnic foods. I try a few new countries every year. :D

Aren't State Fairs great!

Yum-Mee.... Best salt water taffy that I ever had is from The Goldenrod in York Beach Maine. I have had lots of taffy but this is definitely the best.:D
