View Full Version : Leaving for New York today!

I can't believe the day has finally come.. I'm so nervous and excited. Today I head off to NY, tomorrow is my 18th birthday and then on the 25th I move into my dorm. Very scary! :p Forgive me if any PMs go unanswered for a few days or anything like that - I promise I'll get back to everyone as soon as I can. Wish me luck! ;)

That's a great school. My son's swimming teacher is going there! He is going for communication, and he is very sweet and very, very cute! Who knows maybe the two of you will meet!

Happy Birthday and good luck Amzey from your Cotuit neighbor. One of my son's good friends from B.H.S. is off to NYU also. (He's cute too ). ;) My son is leaving on Friday for Ithaca College. How is your mom handling the fact that you are leaving? I'm not handling it well at all! Can't believe I'm losing my "baby." :(

Enjoy your first year and take advantage of all that NYC has to offer. Keep us posted on how your year is going but don't spend too much time on these boards with all the studying that you will be doing now ;) ;) .

Thanks everyone! Yep, swanmom, I got into SAFE housing and into the dorm I wanted.. very exciting. You were right about orientation though - I went to session D and registration was such a pain because almost everything was closed. I have two 8 am classes, ick!

That's OK. In NYC, the morning noises .... trash trucks, car horns, sirens, buses, people moving their cars from the illegal to the legal side of the street (you'll see), etc. etc.,.... will wake you up nice and early. :p New York isn't much of a lazy, late-sleeping town. Glad to hear you got into the Safe dorm. Best of Luck. It'll be such an exciting time.
