Do any of my fellow enthusiasts have a picture in their collection of the back of the official park Alice in Wonderland costume? Specifically I'm looking for what the top back part of the white apron looks like on the official costume. If you have something that fits the bill I'd be very grateful. :)

Hi! Starting a big sewing project? :goodvibes

It's not my photo, so I'll link it instead of copying it:

Oh, thank you! I looked through about 250 Alice pictures on Flickr and never saw one that got her back. I should have thought of the parade so I could search multiple tags. Makes sense that someone would get her back if she was dancing around.

And yes, I am making an Alice dress for my daughter for our October trip. I finished the blue under-dress yesterday and I'm just gonna have to wing the apron part since I can't find a pattern for an apron anywhere near Alice's.

And on a side note, that park costume for Alice officially drives me nuts. If you watch the animated movie, her collar is BLUE and there is no white border at the end of her sleeve. I'm going to be annoyed when I have a picture of my daughter standing next to a WDW Alice and *I* know her dress is as close to the movie as I could make it, yet it will look NOTHING like the Alice she's posing with. :headache:

I know you, of all people, must understand my pain. The problem is, I'm not nearly as talented a seamstress as you obviously are! :)

No problem. There were other shots of Alice from behind but it's hard to see anything with that long blond hair. The parade got the hair moving! I'm constantly searching Flickr for better views of the costumes. I remember last year everyone on the boards helping me hunt for a picture of Cinderella's parade gown from the back so I could see if there were ties hanging from her bow. Crazy, I know, but it's fun to see someone else doing the same thing! :goodvibes

And I've sold Alice costumes for a long time. I'm always amused when someone emails me from one of my listings to help me understand that I got it "wrong" (because they were looking at the one I did with white collar and cufft)..... :rotfl: Someone did that with my Dorothy costume once too. They were kind enough to offer to consult with me on getting it "perfect" like the one in the movie if I'd make them one for free! :rotfl:

I'm plotting a new Alice for our December trip. I was studying those straps too. :goodvibes

Have fun and many thanks for the kind comments!
