I have to agree, my son has more clothes than he knows what to do with. But I suppose it is my own fault because I am the one who can't resist buying them for him. :)

I can definately say both my kids are better dressed than me. They always have new clothes to wear . . .
My DH always says why don't you go buy some new things if you want . . .I guess its been awhile since I got some new clothes for him to say that. :)

I'm laughing over here 'cause you reminded me of the time about 2 years ago when my DH dragged all of us to the mall and shopped for clothes for ME!!! He picked out a couple of outfits for me to wear when we were going out to dinner together. THIS IS A MAN WHO HATES TO SHOP!!!!
I think he was pretty desperate to spruce me up before taking me out ;)

No doubt...the kids! I guess its more fun to buy clothes for them, and I HATE trying on clothes! It would be better if they would quit making everything SMALLER!

I can answer this one for my mom...I do. But that is only because she doesn't like to shop for clothes...or so she says. I honestly think she does, because when she does get new clothes she is happy lol.

My kids do. Not only do I buy all the cute outfits I see, so do both the grandparents!
But I do have better clothes than DH. He absolutly HATES clothes shopping and he has had all the same clothes that he had when we first met...although since we got married they have gotten a little tighter around the waist. People buy him clothes for his birthday and stuff, but that doesn't matter to him. He doesn't seem to like change and he has a ton of new clothes in the back of his closet that he doesn't even wear!

I hate to shop for clothes no matter what size I am at the time. My dream is to open my closet door and find lots of new clothes there that all fit and look nice.
DS gets plenty of new things but really couldn't care less. DH is like that too in fact! I buy DH giftcards to force him to buy himself new things.
We're just not into clothes. Well, except shoes. Those aren't really clothes, are they? ;)

as a single mom, on a very tight budget, every extra $ for clothing goes to my sons. Right now I have $130 for school shopping -- and that will probably only buy a pair of pants and size 14 sneakers. Ugh!
I basically only replace my work clothes as they get worn out.

Definately my kids. I always figure that they & DH are going to school & work so it's more important to me for them to look good. I ama Target clearance rack-aholic! A couple years ago my DH handed me some $ and said "Please go shopping and buy yourself some clothes made out of anything except sweatshirt material!":) I don't think I dress badly, I just go for comfy on an everyday basis. When we go out I look a little better (I hope):p

With the number of trips you make to the mall with those kids Lars I would imagine they are well dressed!!LOL
I'm teaching Paige to hunt out the clearance racks....she was almost as thrilled as I was when we found a shirt for $3 last week!!! LOL :p ;)

I've gotten some really good deals though, that should count for something.
Only one more trip is needed and that one will be tomorrow or Tuesday to the outlets in Howell, then we'll be done....I swear...:)

Yes, sadly that's how it began and it just snowballed from there. I don't know how to stop it now, all we need is one more shirt for DS & DD then I'm going cold turkey.......I promise..........

Awwww, that's so cute Lars. Emily is going to pre-school 3 days from 9-1 and it's breaking my heart!!! I don't know what I'll do when first grade hits!!
She has informed me we need to go to school together or she's not going.
This could be a problem...

The two years that Dylan was in preschool it was a co-op & I was the VP. I read a lot of articles on the separation issues and we dealt with it a lot. My son had a tough time & so did many of the others. If it becomes a problem for you PM me & I'll let you know what worked at our school.

My kids, most definately. More specifically my dd. Thanks to my brother that adores her and his introducing her to Limited, Too.
My 6 yo ds's shoes cost more than mine did, too.:o Not much more, but a little more. Plus his are new.

Shame on your brother browneyes  Girls don't need encouragement.
I wa just think of you earlier (yes I have no life, now I'm thinking about people I've never met  )
Knew you had kids and wondered if you would post.
I gotta get a life :p

:o It's nice to be thought of from time to time.:) In a good way, anyway.:p
Fortunately if my dd gets in her "Let's go to Limited, Too" mood, we meet my brother near one of the restaurants close to our local mall.:teeth: He started the obsession, he can tell her yes or no.;)
Isn't the DIS a life?;)

Definately my kids. I don't think 14yo DS's taste is better than mine but, he's gotta wear the stuff. And, DD always has new clothes!
The last 2, new items of clothing I received (NOT BOUGHT for myself) were from DISers!! In the t-shirt exchange and, in the YCE!

How do I sign up for some DIS exchanges!?!?!?! Maybe that's how I'll build my wardrobe! LOL:p
