Where are you staying for the W & D half marathon?

I have been compiling a list of the dates and places racers will be staying. Let me know when and where you are going to be to add you to the list. I will be posting the updates weekly on this thread.

Also, it has been suggested that we might have a casual early afternoon get together.:grouphug: Firedancer(Frank) and dsnyfan(Tracy) thought of having a meet at AKL lobby area at 4PM on Friday. This way those going to Boma at 5 will not have a problem.

Thinking maybe around 4pm-4:30 pm so people can meet and greet, take photos and then head off for early evening if doing the 5K in the morning or off to eat at another location or back to the parks....

We could get the picture and the people who don't want to do the sit down meal at Boma can grab something to eat and those that do can hang out and then break off at 5 for the meal. Either the lobby or the savanna area behind the lobby would make for a good spot for a WISH photo.

As for nametags, I usually do them for the huge January Marathon weekend, and that is a very big task, so if someone wants to get the "hello, my name is" tags and bring markers that works, or if people want to make their own, that works also.

Hi all! Three weeks from today.:cheer2:
I will be at BWI from 10/1 -- 10/5 with 12 of my closest friends! (some running, some cheering - all eating and drinking at food and wine)
I don't get in until very late Friday so I'll have to wish you all a great time at AKL for the meet.

Popppppppp Century for me and DW. 2 Oct to 9 Oct. That's right, flying in the day of the race (5:50am first flight out of LBB), check in, straight to the expo, 5:30pm dinner at the Spirit of Aloha buffet, then throwing it up all over the half mary course a few hours later. Yessssssssss! Deluxe dining plan here we come!

Edit: So sadly no meet for us, buttttt you'll probably notice me during the race at some point.:rolleyes1

The nametags I do for the WISH racing team are pin on kind and can be used again more than once. I will be starting those again sometime in October. Not possible for me to constantly be doing lists/printing and buying supplies for all the Disney races and meets, so I just try to get the most done (for WISHers) for the January races.

You are welcome to do just simple stick on name tags which we have used before for other meets or you can make up something else.
Again, I will be doing the nametags for WISHers starting in the middle/end of October sometime.

I imagine we will be there for a while. It is a buffet and a large group so there is a lot of talking mixed in with the eating which slows everyone down.

Just and FYI:
No all the WISHers are staying for the DIS dinner at BOMA. I think that starts at 5 or 5:30, so I am hoping for a photo op sometime around 4:30pm, so those heading out to other parks or resorts for dinner can get to them. However, I am sure most will linger around for a time.
Look for WISHers in the Lobby area of Animal Kingdom Lodge starting at 4pm.
