AKL Concierge Pictures are here!!!

Here are the Pictures I promised. There are a lot but you can do a slideshow. I did not have time to edit any messages so hopefully you can tell just by the Pics what they are and what time of day according to the food.

The great looking dessert on the plate is one of the many sugar-free desserts the chef made special for me!

The young man in the picture is my DS who will be going to college in Florida to study Pre-Med next year! He plans on doing the WDW College program during his summers.

I hope you enjoy these pictures! They were a lot of work to put them up but worth it to share with you all.

Some of them are repeats but I was doing this late last night so forgive me!!! The animals were right below our balcony! I do have more pics of the pool and animals I will Post next!

Nutz4dzny, I LOVED your photos!! You and your son had a wonderful vacation, it is obvious to see. *Sigh* Thank you so much for getting those pictures on-line so quickly. But next time please try to make the food shots less appetizing -- I am going to raid my refrigerator right now because your photos got my stomach *growling* (hee hee)! Welcome home!

Janet2k you are too funny!!! LOLOLOLOL! Now you know what I look like...look for me at the LTT on Oct. 27th! I tried to get my DH to dress up in costume but No Go! So I will be wearing a Lime green top and visor! I will make him wear his Lime green T-shirt I just bought!

Nutz4dzny, you are very pretty and your son is a doll !! I will not be able to miss the two of you and will definitely be looking for you both that evening. I still am clueless as to what costume I will wear, but my daughter is already set (of course she will probably change her mind by then and will have another costume, sheesh!).

Thanks very much for those pictures. Looks like I am going to have to try concierge maybe just for one night next yr. but at least I'll be able to experience it again thanks for taking the time. I wish I knew how to get pictures up, but I don't. :D

First can I say your photos are terrific... Wow... and all that food was concierge, did I understand that correctly...if so, I would say if you are planning to spend the extra money to stay concierge then AKL is the place to do it.. I have stayed at the both Beach Club and Yacht Club Concierge before and it was not like that..absolutely incredible, what a spread.. Thank you so much for sharing that with us..

Loved your photos!! They brought back many great memories of when we stayed in AKL concierge last summer :) . I could smell and taste all that wonderful food again. . .
We have decided to go for the YC over Christmas, even though your photos made me homesick for AKL :( .

Wow! What a spread!! Now I know that if I ever go concierge, AKL is the one for me. No other concierge pictures have impressed me enough to want to stay there. I love all the food is labeled too (especially nice for people like me who won't ask what it is:D ). Thanks for sharing the awesome pictures.:p

wdwnut61 - He applied at UCF. I am sure he will get in since his SAT's were above what they require. We are waiting to see how much scholarship monies they will offer!!!!

Gail T AGAIN - Our room was a Deluxe Savannah View on the Arusha Savannah. It was a very good location!

My son wants to be a Pediatric Neurosurgeon. So we have 10 years of college and residency and internship ahead of us!!!!! But it is his dream and he will do it!

Those pictures were fantastic. I didn't think it was possible but I'm even more excited about our upcoming AKL stay now.

I've read that the concierge level is on the 6th floor. Is it right in the center of the AKL or is it down one of the trails?

carriep1657 - The Concierge is located right above the main entrance! It is on the 6th floor but even though our room was down the hallway by Arusha Rock.....we did not mind the walk although it was a bit far.

nutz4dzny- Thanks so much for the quick response. My 4 year old DD loved looking at your pictures. She thought all of the food looked like candy. She's so excited to try it all. Hope she's not too disappointed when she sees the lounge isn't full of candy and cookies.

carriep1657 - Your daughter sounds sweet herself! They did have Gummi Bears and worms and PB & J Sandwich! Also Chicken Nuggets and cookies etc. I am sure she will be delighted! The little juice boxes are a big hit with the kids also!

Thanks for posting your pictures! We had reservations at AKL for a Savannah room, BUT after seeing your pictures, I called today and booked the Concierge. We must be crazy! :D
Thanks again for taking the time to post all the pictures. We'd love to know more! We have 2 kids who will be traveling with us. Their ages are 3 & 1.

I loved your pictures so much!!! We stayed at AKL in July, had booked a standard room ans was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to pool view. What a beautiful hotel. We are planning a 2004 trip, 2003 is off site. We are definately planning on staying concierge. Can I ask (if you don't mind) what you paid for your concierge room? Did you get a discount? I am trying to get an idea of how much I will need. The concierge is just to tempting.
