DW and I are completing paperwork for a VWL purchase by phone. In fact, we just made our first ressie for early December for a 2 bedroom villa. Very excited. We are going this May to the Poly (cash trip) and, of course, want to tour the villas while we are there. But we dont really want the big sales presentation. Just want to tour the villas. Whats the best way to go about this?
Show up at the DVC desk in the lodge? Schedule it with our Guide? Ask MS? Do we get the free lunch? ;)
any ideas?

I did a tour at the BW units before planning my first stay there (after 6 years of OKW stays). I wanted to get an idea of what those units actually looked like.
The Guide who took me through was more than pleased to help me out.

We bought at VWL in Dec. I returned in March on a trip with our high school band and took a friend over to see the Villas. We just went directly to the Villas and told the person at the desk DVC station why we were there. He directed us to the open model. There was a CM there and he told us just to look around. There was another couple there at the same time who had also bought recently, sothey were looking also.

Just concurring with Slimplaw. We own at BWV and first saw the models of VWL there, then went to the lodge and saw the model. It was enough to convice us that our next stay will be there! Only 5 months to go!!!

My DH and I purchased into the DVC in September. However, we already had ressies at the Poly for our December trip with our adult DD. Since we wanted to show her what the facility looked like, we just walked over during a visit to Boardwalk and asked if we could see the one-bedroom (which we would be using the most), and they brought us right down. They also made it clear that they would have shown us the other rooms had we wanted to see them as well. It was a slow time for them, however, I really feel that they would have been just as accommodating if it were a busy time.
