We want to go for just an evening to see spectro magic. Which counter service would you reccomend? We want something close to Mainstreet, but I could walk a little further as long as the parade went through that area.

on main street i would suggest casey's corner. but how about the plaza restaurant just off main street toward tomorrowland. this is really very good and more of a selection than casey's. in frontierland there is pecos bill and it is on the parade route. good selection there.:p

I would recommend Pecos Bills if you're willing to stay on the parade route but get away from Main Street. There aren't really any counter service restaurants with much selection on Main Street. Casey's is just hot dogs and fries. The Plaza restaurant is pretty inexpensive, but you can't walk up to a counter and order.

The Plaza Pavilion is right off of main street. You can't see the parade from there, but you could get your food and then go to the parade route.

Definitely Casey's if you want to stay near Main Street, but our favorite is Pecos Bills!! Great food at both places!! :)

Just be aware that sometimes different counter-serve resturaunts might close an hour or two before spectromagic (isn't that strange?) But I know that Casey's stays open. However, Columbia Harbor House and Pinocchio's Village house closed 2 hours before when I was there last year.

DH and I really enjoy the Italian Stack sandwich from the Plaza Pavillion in Tomorrowland, which is pretty close to Main Street. We get that sandwich every trip! It's a great alternative to the typical burger/chicken finger/pizza counter service. :)

Thanks guys for the heads up on the Plaza.. IT WAS AWESOME for a change of pace from counter service.. and the timing was tremendous. we ate, had a desert, and strolled out to main street, 10 minutes before the parade started.. found a nice spot in front of the Open doors of the Emporium, and stood in chilled comfort for a disney first for both of us!!

It was a fun few hours ( i love going into the park like that.. just for a few hours here, or there..
