Hi Scott! My name is Shannon and we will be on this cruise as well. It will be our 4th DCL cruise, and our 3rd holiday cruise. Just to let you know, a thread has already been started for this particular cruise date. It reads: "Disney Dream: 12/29/2011" Is there a way to combine the two threads???

Palo's is worth the try. If you schedule Palo's, don't go if you are scheduled for the first night in Animator's Palate, that's when they do "the show". Alex

Palo's is definately worth it, but then, so are the rotation meals, it would be hard to chose a night on a short cruise. Personally, I would go for New Years Eve, since I understand that is formal night anyway, and that would mean I would not have to pack 2 fancy outfits.

Hey Linda I know you are busy, but looking foward to seeing you here

Okay, checking in......

Jamie and I are looking at possibly coming to WDW on December 23 and spending Christmas in Florida and then getting on the ship on the 29th.

Have ressies at OKW for the 23rd to 26th and then have to decide what to do after that. Still need to check airline ressies and stuff. Need to look at using a companion certificate and there may be black out dates so may need to adjust.

Can't wait to spend New Year's Eve on the ship! Palo's for dinner, most definitely!

Welcome to all the new thread members!!!

I agree on the flight cost being high at that time of year - for us almost $150 more per ticket than other times. We are flying from Omaha NE to Orlando.

But we are super excited for the cruise - we have recruited some friends to come too - I will have her check in on this message board.

Maybe we should think about a doing a roll call - and is anyone interested in doing FEs?

I am just now looking at airfare, and I agree it seems a bit high. But it is the holidays.... I just keep thinking Thank Goodness it's not during Thanksgiving week!

We are starting to look at end of summer discounts for swim suits and anything else we might need. The boys have even asked what we are going to sign up to do and which ship is it we're on theis time... and they remember which ship was which trip in the past. never thought they picked up on that!

And, what are FE's? Our last cruise was 07 and I don't think I remember that term from way back then.

Hi,

We're joining you all on our first Disney Cruise and we're all very excited about it.... well I'm very excited about it because the rest of the family thinks our first cruise will be the Med in June. I saw this cruise and thought it would be a fun surprise for Christmas for everyone so I'm not sure when they will know but for now they don't.

We are Me, DH, DD (9) and DD (4). I also talked my sister and her family into going so they will be BIL, DS, DD (10) and DD (6). It's their first Disney Cruise as well. We're from Las Vegas, they're from San Jose. And yikes is the airfare ugly... ended up with SWA and it was still an ugly number.

We're in for the FE. Haven't done one before of course but it sounds like a lot of fun for the kids.

Looking forward to a Magical New Year! :wizard:

It looks like we are getting a great group.I'm up for FEs. I haven't done them before but I've read about them. This is the first year my daughter (3) will be in the Oceaneers Lab. Will anyone else have a son or daughter about 3? I am hoping to meet some people that will also have kids in the OL. If anyone has used the OL before and has tips I'd appreciate the insight. Hi All,

Does anyone know if Disney does anything special for New Years?

Is there a special menu on New Years eve or on New Years Day? Fireworks? Deck party?

If folks want we'll coordinate the FE list. Let me know.

Thanks, Bob & Dale (and Gordy)

Looks like we have a good group here.

Okay, from what I've read on trip reports..... When the ship had Nassau as the port in NYE, they then stayed off shore and watched the fireworks from Atlantis. Formal night was NYE, there was a special NYE menu. A deck party and balloon drop in the atrium with champagne at midnight. :wizard:

If anyone has been on a NYE cruise please correct me.... This is our first Disney cruise so I've been reading lots of trip reports.

Does anyone know what the weather will be like?

I saw a youtube video called "DISNEY CRUISE LINE NEW YEAR'S EVE DECK PARTY 2010."

I found a post indicating that last year on the Magic the 'ship was decorated for the holidays, they had fireworks at midnight, a midnight buffet, champagne in keepsake plastic glasses, hats at dinner, special dinner menu, gift in the stateroom and a special lithograph.'

On our August cruise, I compiled the FE info for the group. I used my Cricut to make Mickey heads on card stock and the phrase Family Fun with fish around it. I pasted the list with participant info onto the back. I dropped off a Mickey head at each stateroom by 5pm on the first night.

Here is my first attempt at posting a scanned image (just the front)...

Hi Linda,

Yes, they both are coming. Courtney starts back on Wednesday and Peter the next Monday.

You said Jamie is flying out immediately, are you staying in Florida longer?

It would be great to get together with you and Jamie at WDW or at our house while you are here.

Faith - it will be good to see you folks again, glad to hear the kids are going to make it too.

I am in CA for a few days helping my brother move, dealing with some Real Estate paperwork. Hopefully, Dad's house will close next week - I will still have to do the closing long distance, I am not staying here that long, but it will be good to be able to close out the estate and trust.

We have been debating if a trip to DisneyWorld is a good idea before the cruise. On one hand.... we have the time and are celebrating big time but on the other hand... do we really want to have our first DW trip be during the busiest time of year?? Lots to think about and figure out.

I love being able to look forward to this cruise! and I think looking ahead 5-6 months is just about right in the excitement time frame. Every few days one of the boys or the husband will ask me what shows are playing or if we know the room yet and I get lots of remember whens. Can't waait to see those fireworks!!!

We're going to WDW for 2 days before the cruise. I know it will be insane, but I just can't see skipping it because we only make it down every 4 years or so. Wish we could do it after, but the kids are already going to miss the first day of school after break and their school is very strict about that.

I'm trying to find a good explanation of the FEs on the boards. I get that it's something you attach to your door and people leave little gifts, but how does it work exactly - like how do you know if it's a couple or family with small children or teens. Is this something that's set up ahead of time?

Some folks (like us) just do things for the room, regardless of adult or kids, but you can get an idea from the roster (if we get anyone to offer to do a roster for this cruise).

Hello everyone!

I think wrabitdad offered to compile the FE participant info for our group and I would love to help!

To get the ball rolling, how do you all feel about these draft guidelines?

I'm trying to find a good explanation of the FEs on the boards. I get that it's something you attach to your door and people leave little gifts, but how does it work exactly - like how do you know if it's a couple or family with small children or teens. Is this something that's set up ahead of time?
Sarabi's Cubs

Here is some information on the FE process that we put together for another cruise, hope it helps:

Remember the FE Exchange is supposed to be FUN. It should not become daunting.

Make it whatever you want. Some folks work from scratch and their talents really come through; others buy items that they think will bring a smile to the recipients. We have gotten gifts as simple as Disney pencils, candy bars, homemade magnets, postcards from hometowns/states, etc. Some are simply left in the FE, others are bagged (usually the small bags you would use for candy etc at kids parties) with ribbon, etc.

We generally do a gift per cabin, sometimes with small candy per person. Sometimes it depends on how far we're traveling to the ship (for west coast or overseas the FE gifts tend to be smaller for obvious reasons). On some cruises we've joined with others and done a group gift - lanyards and namebadges or wristbands. Each cruise is different, that’s what makes it fun.

Delivering the gifts is also a fun experience, also a great way to see the ship and all the cabin door decorations. Kinda feels like being an elf at Christmas. Some folks leave their gifts anonymously, others have their disname, others their first names; whatever you want. When you leave your gift is also up to you; we'll usually leave ours on a sea day. If your gift is themed, i.e. pirate, you may want to leave it on a certain day.

We’ve also volunteered to post the FE list on our cabin door so folks can make or check for any last minute cabin changes.

Remember FE = Fun.

If you want to participate in the FE PM me or post the information here. We'll need the following information:

Cabin # (if GTY let me know as soon as cabin assigned)
Disname
names and ages (age optional for those that don't want to divulge :lmao:)

We'll settle on a cut-off as we get closer to the cruise. Usually a couple of weeks before the cruise. Most of us make a few extras to cover any last minute additions.

Thanks, Bob :wave2:

Can't believe we are so close to booking our excursions. Well, not that I am going to book much of anything except Palo's for NYE dinner!

Hi there,

Coming in late to the party, but here we are!

Me37, DH41, DS12, DD8 - and we're in for the FE.

Our first cruise ever (well, I went on one when I was 12, but that doesn't count). I'll send a PM about the FE as well.

This is a super magical trip for us, this cruise is the final leg of our extended vacation. We're spending 13 days at WDW beforehand (and 4 days at Universal before that!). That's the reason why I haven't gotten into the cruise planning yet - been too busy planning WDW activities.:cool1:

So excited to meet the gang, see you all on the ship!

Hi Everyone!
I am joining in. We are on our second "last minute" disney cruise with extended family. Our last was New Years 2009. I am jealous about not being able to prebook excursions as we are still waitlisted for concierge for the MIL and FIL (we always stay in a 4 ourselves but we book as a family) :(. Oh well, happy to be along anyways! Last time we went it seemed alot cheaper to do the comfort suites thing, but it's pretty break even now with lunch as far as I can tell. Any thoughts on this? We have me, DH, DS 11, DS 9, MIL, FIL, DBIL and his DD 8. The way I price it we only save about 150 to go outside Disney and that's lost in paying for lunch. Of course, if the check in process and the DIG eat up too much Aquaventure time then please let me know. Also, can you still request a certain dining rotation? If anyone knows which nights are which I would appreciate any info about this. Also have forgotten which town car service we used from the Hyatt last time. Any great reliable recommendations? Thanks so so much! Kelly

My poor DD (10) fell down the stairs a couple of days ago and broke her arm. Luckily, it is a clean break and she should be out of her cast in 4 weeks.

As we came home from the DR office--DD reminded us that when her sister broke both her arms, we took her on a cruise when she got her cast off! I want to tell her...'your going for christmas & New Years'... I managed to hold it back. But, it was really hard because my poor little girl was hurt & I just wanted to make her feel better.

Good Day everyone!

My Dh and I had a fun weekend getting some of the things ready for the trip. :thumbsup2Because it is a surprise, we did one thing every night after the kids were in bed.;)

*DH booked airfare... using DH's frequent flier miles.:thumbsup2 Thank goodness he travels so much.lol. This saves us a huge amount of money. We are doing a red eye on Dec 16th, arriving in orlando at about 10 am. We also booked our return flight for Jan 3 mid day.

*I purchased tickets to:banana: MVMCP on our arrival day.

*Booked hotel room... thanks to DH's hotel points. :thumbsup2 For the night before the cruise.

DH was also looking at doing a minivan rental but they want $250 each way:scared1:. So, we are now looking to see if there is another option.

We're also going to WDW before the cruise, staying at BCV, and we decided to rent a limo, cost under $200 (it will be probably $220 with tip) to pick us up and bring us to Port Canaveral. Then we're going to the airport the day we disembark, but not until the evening, so I rented a car for $25 (Yes, that's right, including fees and taxes) from Port Canaveral to MCO. This will give us the freedom to tour around and do some last minute sightseeing and shopping for a few hours before we have to go to the airport. We're a family of 4, comes out cheaper than Disney transportation (and so much more flexible!)

That's strange - the limo service I hired is picking us up at 9:30am, they were okay with even picking us up at 9:15 or 9:45am, so I split the difference.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post the limo service name - does anyone know? If I can't, you can PM me and I'll tell you who it was...

Sarabi - too bad we can't share a limo, it's an 8 passenger - unless we book a bigger one, it must be more cost effective to get one bigger one than 2smaller ones...where are you staying?

Jen that is a great deal on a car!:thumbsup2 I guess this is my punishment for a big family...lol

We are actually doing a back to back cruises: 11 night Christmas with the 5 night New Years Cruise.

We can do round trip DCL transfer for $69 each. Which comes out to $414 . But we wanted to get to the port early and are hoping to upgrade our room. Plus we have reservation at the double tree (DTD) the night before the cruise which is not a DCL stop.

A mini van was $250 each way.:scared1: The plus to this would be... we have a car for MVMCP.

We have not called a car service yet... it is on DH's to-do-list. We did see one on line: to go from from MCO to Double tree & then to Port Canveral and back to MCO is about almost $500. But we could do it at our own pace.

Maybe we need to also look at renting 2 small cars? ;)

It's a full sized car, like a Taurus, you'd be able to fit 5 in there, plus the trunk is pretty big (unless you like to pack a lot) :cutie:

I had to check a bunch of places online until I hit this price - I was getting quoted $70-100 for a one way rental from Port Canaveral to MCO for one day. I was so shocked that I rebooked it again in case it was a computer glitch, but I was able to book it at exactly the same price.

If you call DCL, they might possible have the dining rotation posted on their schedule. It might still be just a little early though.

You could also go to another website and see if they have the 5 night navigators posted, that might be a clue, but not set in stone of course!

I don't think there have been any Magic 5 nights yet, but according to the Wonder 5 nt navigator, Pirate Night was Day 3 (Nassau) and Day 4 (at sea day) was the semi-formal night. I'm not sure if New Year's Eve being on Day 3 will throw a wrench in that or not.

Hi All,

Welcome to all the new cruisers. :wave2:

The FE list has been updated, see post #110.

Post or PM me with any changes or updates.

Thanks, Bob

I don't think there have been any Magic 5 nights yet,

The Magic had its first 5N back in September 2008. I'll look to see if we still have the Navigators, but no guarentee the events/nights would be the same.

Ok, I've never done a FE before. Does the FE itself generally have a separate pocket for each family member, one for adults and one for the kids, or what? I'm still a little unclear after reading through posts whether you provide a gift for the stateroom as a whole or individual gifts for each person or is it just a matter of personal choice?

Hi!!! Have you seen other post of FE?? There are a lot of examples. The one I use in my first cruise (last summer) had three pockets: mines and my two daughters. I don't know how to post pic here. If you know how you can tell me and I will post my FE.

About the gifts you are going to provide is just a personal choice. You can give one per room or one per person. Because the FE group I was last summer was big I gave one per room. I received both ways. They put things for adults and kids. Candy is a great idea for the shows and movies popcorn::. I received CD with music from DIsney (3 cd) another cd with recepies of the dessert they give on the cruise (love this one :banana: pencils, little toys, etc. If I remember more gifts I will tell you.

Hi All,

For those with questions about the FE here's some information we put together for a previous cruise.

Hope this is helpful.

We definitely will be, I got some custom DISigns made from Miiliepie and ******, and I'm also doing the door number Mickey ears:cool1:

I think I'll going a bit overboard (excuse the pun), but it's our first cruise, so I'm going all out (tshirts too!)

You can get a Fish Extender with either one pocket of several pockets, and some folks designate the pockets for individuals by putting their names on the pockets - it is totally up to you. As for the gifts, as Bob said, it again is totally up to you.

Is anyone planning to put magnets on their doors. I want to decorate mine, but I don't know if I will be the only one!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Help please! I just logged on for my reservation and didn't see my 11 yo son listed, while my 9 yo was. Then when I read carefully it said kids up to 10 were eligible on the Magic to be in the oceaneer's club/lab and kids up to 12 on the Wonder. I am confused!?! We sailed the Wonder 2 years ago and I assumed both my kids would be able to go. What happens to the over 10 under 13 group on the M:rolleyes:agic?

Hi fellow Cruisers,

It's been a long time since I've looked at this thread. But we just paid off our cruise a few days ago and I am now in full planning mode. I want to make our Palo ressie but can't find any navigators for the 5 night cruises. Anyone know the dining rotation options?

Do you think they'll do pirate night on Night 3, which also happens to be NYE?

Getting very excited!!!

getting very frustrated with the airline costs for this trip! I can't believe how much $ it is! Thinking about canceling BUT we got such a good deal on this cruise I don't want to lose it.....Did anyone find cheap airfare?

I am STILL holding out looking for a decent price airfare down. Found $126 there pp...still a lot more than the $69/$79 that I'm used to paying one way to get to MCO. Just can't bring myself to cough up more than $200 pp for the trip down. :scared1:

Then we're going to the airport the day we disembark, but not until the evening, so I rented a car for $25 (Yes, that's right, including fees and taxes) from Port Canaveral to MCO.

Please share the car rental agency and coupon number. I haven't been able to find anything that inexpensive and we are flying out that afternoon also.

90 days

Yesterday we got a little packet in the mail from DCL, with the info about final payment days...etc. Unfortunately, my DD (10) got the mail. She did not open it, just handed it to me. I thought I had convinced her that it was just an "advertisement". :eek:But my DH says as soon has he pulled in the driveway after work, DD met him at his car and told him something came from DCL. As far as I can tell... she didn't tell any of her siblings. ;)

So, our Christmas :santa:Surprise is still a surprise...but that was a close one.

I am thinking I might want to start puting together their 'christmas gifts'... incase I have to tell them earlier then expected. My plan is to put together a box with t-shirts with the cruise logo, door magnets (for our Christmas Cruise & our New Years Cruise) and our MVMCP tickets & have them open their 'gifts' a few days before our trip. :)

There is a whole thread on making t-shirts. I will look and see if I can find it. There are also some very talented people that are willing to share their designs with others.

I make t-shirts with iron on transfers. The transfer come with instructions. In the past I have used disney cip art, designs of the internet or a personal picture to create the 'picture'... for the front of the tshirt. I also try to include the date of the cruise.

*I am not very creative...more crafty...so I do better if I can get "ideas" of things others have done. ;)

I am going to share the latest about what I've learned and kind of the answers to my own questions. For all the overplanners like me, I thought you might be interested. WELL, after many uneventful calls to DCL to ask about the dining rotations and special events nights, all I could get out of them was NYE was formal night. Until, Lo-and-Behold, I called Disney Concierge, who (less than a day later mind you) was amazingly able to give me the 3 specific dining rotations. They have not set pirate night but I did confirm that it would be on a "repeat" night, which narrows it down to the first or the last nights of the cruise. (I am thinking last since it is supposed to have fireworks and people with AP as 1st dining wouldn't get their show the other way.) The 3 possible rotations are supposed to be:
#1 (they identify them by number apparently) LAPPL
#2 APLLA
#3 PLAAP
Hope this helps..Hallelujah and Hurray!:cheer2:

Couldn't the pirate night also be night 4? Looks like that is a repeat night, and looking at the Wonder's 5 nt navigators, they'd just be switching the formal and pirate nights because of New Year's Eve. I'm thinking they probably wouldn't do pirate night on the last night, because people are out late for the deck party and in costume and they want people's luggage packed up on the last night. But this is our first Disney cruise, so I'm just guessing based on other cruise experiences.

You will see lots of doors decorated - just be aware that the decorations must be in the form of magnets, DCL does not like tape on doors as it leaves marks. The Fish Extender exchange is lots of fun - folks will bring things to put in the fish extender during the cruise - some folks go all out, and others do something simple.

Couldn't the pirate night also be night 4? Looks like that is a repeat night, and looking at the Wonder's 5 nt navigators, they'd just be switching the formal and pirate nights because of New Year's Eve. We will be joining in the fun:cheer2: This will be our 8th (or is it 9th) ... I have to check DCL cruise. We are surprising our children for Christmas. We would love to participate in the FE as have on our other cruises. Not sure of the room yet as we booked 2 Cat 12 GTYs. Couldn't pass up the great deal!
Please add to the FE list: it will be me, DH, DS (21), DD (18), DS (17) and DD (12).

My only concern are the seas ... are they usually calm this time of the year? We have never cruised in Dec/Jan. before ... we have sailed Feb - August, so I was just wondering.

Thanks!

Thanks!

:cheer2:WELCOME:cheer2:

I love to see more DCL fans like us!:thumbsup2 This will be our 12 & 13th cruise. We are doing back 2 back Christmas and New Years.

We will also be traveling with our 4 children (DD17, DS15, DS12 & DD10);)...always makes for an interesting time. Especially sense we have hit the teens years.

We are trying to surprise the kids too. But I will have to tell them early enough that... they can get over... not going to grandma's this year.

Last New Years we were on the wonder and didn't have any issues with the waves.

Sooo, I've seen a lot of postings on these boards about door decorating and fish extenders. I know this is not a requirement for DCL and I'm just curious as to how many of us plan on doing this. I want to decorate my door and I'm still undecided about the fish extender. Any opinions??

Hi All,

Hurricane Earl fizzled when passing us. Winter Nor'easters have been worse. However, trust me no one is complaining that it ended up being not much of an impact. Good practice for the one that finally does arrive as advertised.

Sarabi's Cubs....I'm not sure. When I cruised this cruise 2 years ago I vaguely remember there being a different menu for pirate night but per the threads there isn't. In that case yes it could be night 4. However we are supposed to have fireworks with that night and since there are fireworks over Atlantis the night before I was guessing that they wouldn't do these back to back. I hope it's night 1 :). Also bags don't have to be out until 11 so we'll be ok if it's last.

There is usually a special menu for Pirates night, and the Pirate deck party, so, logistically, the 4th night would be the best night, if there is even going to be a Pirate night on this cruise:confused3

Questions and Answers :thumbsup2

1. Do we have the latest FE list available?
2. Have we decided how we're going to schedule our FE (daily, one time deal, scheduled drop off dates, etc)?
3. In answer to decorating our door - YES WE ARE!
4. Re: Pirates party - I spoke to the concierge and I asked them what would be the likely day for our Pirates party and he said January 1st, subject to change (standard disclaimer).
5. Planning - so far I bought a bunch of stuff for FE (still need to get more), I have the DISigns for our magnets, and I have the magnet sheets to print, just need to print them out, I bought all our t-shirts for iron-ons, just need to pick which ones to do (DS and DD picked 8 DISigns each for their shirts, that's too many!), I also booked my Palo brunch and dinner and Nassau and Castaway Cay excursions :cool1:

Jen and disneycruising, Where did you get your magnet paper? I've got the designs picked out, but I'm not sure whether I should buy magnet paper and print them on that or print and laminate them and buy the adhesive magnet paper.

Fortunately, we're surprising the kids or I bet my DD would pick out 10 of them for herself. I bought shirts to iron on transfers but DH saw what I was up to and nixed a personalized shirt for himself. He is a little alarmed by the magnets and FE too. Party pooper!! Think maybe I will find a Grumpy magnet for him and make a shirt with just the great logo that Marci did.

We just paid in full, and I am hoping that all of the Palo times will not be booked when we can finally do that this week! Still debating about shore excursions. Atlantis is soooo expensive especially since my older 2 would be considered adults, and there's not likely to be any Comfort Suites deal on New Year's Eve. Even if there were, there are 5 of us. Since this is our first cruise, I am tempted to just stay on the ship on the Nassau day.

OK so formal night is day 3, NYE. I am fairly certain that will be a special menu for all. The 4th night, next night, repeats at the same restaurant as night 3. You're supposed to have each rotational restaurant's menu at least once, so if pirate night has it's own menu they couldn't do it night 4 or people will miss their rotational dining experience. Where has my logic gone wrong?

I understand what you are saying, to get all 3 rotational menus, we will miss either the formal night menu or the Pirate night menu (or one of the rotational night menus) - don't know the answer to your question. Maybe someone who has done the cruise before can chime in here.

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone ~

Can I assume that since this cruise is sailing on the Magic, that we will be seeing the shows that appear on the Magic? I know most of the other 5 nights have been on the Wonder and have looked at sample navigators for a five night, but presumably the shows will be different; am I correct?

Thanks!

Yes, you will be seeing shows that are on the Disney Magic, not the Wonder.

Now, since it is a shortened Magic cruise, one can only guess which shows they will have, but my guess is we will definitely see Disney Dreams and Villians Tonight.

Laurie, we got our magnet paper at Staples, 5 for $18 (CAD), I had another pack at home with 4 sheets on it - I'm thinking we will definitely need to cut down on the DISigns that we picked, I don't think I have enough magnet sheets for everything (and I don't think we'll have a door big enough to fit it all anyways!):lmao:

I'm planning on printing most of the magnets on the sheets, then I was going to do the door number ears on photo paper, then glue them to the leftover cutoff magnet pieces that we'll probably have from cutting out the shaped magnets.

I'm in the same boat - DH is rolling his eyes at all the stuff I'm doing (we're spending most of the Christmas holidays in WDW, so I have been planning all that stuff out too), but I have managed to convince him on the shirt thing, I bought DH, DS, and DD's t-shirts at Old Navy, they had some sales going on, and I got all my shirts at Value Village. I showed DH the DISigns I picked for him (one of them has Grumpy with a mug of beer and a mug of Guinness - lol), but for the most part they are not too overdone and mostly geared to WDW and Star Wars, so he seems okay with it.

Just remember to buy the iron-on sheets for dark shirts if you have colored shirts, they're more expensive, though.

Re: Palo - you shouldn't have a problem, I was still booking last week and there were lots of options. We're doing Palo brunch on Day 4 (Sea Day), then Palo dinner on Day 5.

Lastly - Atlantis - I checked Comfort Inn, and definitely not cheap when we're there, really expensive, actually (but cheaper than buying the waterpark excursion for the whole family). We've booked the Atlantis Beach Day, cheaper than the waterpark, includes lunch and transportation, we've never been there so I felt we should go check it out, I don't know when we'd be back again. There was another DIS post where someone suggested to me to book a day pass directly with Atlantis and just take a taxi there and back, apparently it's much cheaper that way, but I haven't been able to find any information about that online.

So is this going to work......

My sister and BIL are coming on the cruise with us and sis didn't give me her login info so when the clock struck midnight on the east coast I had to scramble.....

I tried to book Palo (table for 4) but the days / times weren't great. Then I switched to tables for two and found more of what I was looking for. But since I couldn't login and make her reservation I made two on my stateroom, so one night the computer has my sister and I at Palo and one night it has my husband and BIL at dinner in Palo. I like the idea of us going on separate nights so that the other couple can dine with the kids. They won't care who shows up right?

I was online at 9:00pm Pacific time and there was no Palo brunch or tea showing. I also looked again this morning. I may try to get to the ship early to see if there is any availability or I may just skip it this time around. I was happy to get the dinner reservations.

I also booked some Alone Time at the spa. Has anyone done Alone Time? It sounds great to me! :dance3:
