Which one...LeCellier or Alfredo's?

I'd love to hear your opinions on both, especially LeCellier. I'm trying to determine which would be better for the Candlelight Processional Dinner Pkg.

I've been to Alfredo's a number of times and it's always been great. However, I've been reading some very positive posts on LeCellier. I've never been there, so I'm curious to hear your opinions.

Tried Le Cellier on my last trip and it was wonderful, especially the pretzel bread and cheese soup. I still wish I had gotten a steak instead of the pasta dish I did get. Oh well, live and learn.

Every trip to Epcot always includes dinner at Le Cellier for us.
We love the food, and we also think the atmosphere is especially cozy in the winter.The last time we were there they had a wild mushroom stuffed filet of beef...SUPERB!!!

I would choose Le Cellier. We had been going t Alfredo's every year but it seemed to be going downhill. Very expensive and crowded and not too many choices we liked for dinner. We tried Le Cellier just for the heck of it two years ago and now we are hooked. We have to go every year at least once. My DH loves the cheese soup and we all love the pretzel bread sticks. The Filet Mignon is excellent.

Another vote for Le Cellier. I like Alfredo's only for the Fettucine Alfredo.

:wave: We ate at LeCellier in June and it was wonderful. I would definitely eat there again. We have never eaten at Alfredo's so I can't compare the two restaurants.

My kids would eat the food at Le Cellier, but is the atmosphere kid friendly (ages 12, 14, 15)? Is there anything fun about the restaurant, or just really good food? :D

I wouldn't say there is anything over kid-friendly about it. The pretzel breadsticks are something different and fun to munch on, but thats about it. I would say that sometimes it might not be the best atmosphere for super young children depening on how well they behave because the tables are close together. (When we went the first time my daughter was 20 months and got kind of loud!), but since your children are older I think they would do fine and the food is worth it!

I would chose Le Cellier. We did Alfredo's for the CP when we did it in 98. The place was a mad house! We showed up early and still waited a long time after out PS time. And it was only two of us. The best part about Alfredo's was the location. It was right near the American Gardens Theatre where the show is held. e just had to exit the restaurant and we were practically there. I also felt that the food has slipped there. I have a personal bias since chicken parm is one of my most favorite things to eat and it is not on the menu.

Le Cellier is wonderful. We have had dinner there at least three times. I already have it booked for my birthday dinner on 12/6. The prime rib is great and I am looking forward to trying the filet. We aren't going to do CP package since we have the 3 year old and the will be 11 month old. The show is beautiful, but it will not hold their attention. They will be fidgetty, and I am one of those people who would not want my bored kid to ruin someone else's experience.

You can still book the package and skip the show. The package gives you a better deal on the dinner, right? At least it did when we went 2 years ago. We skipped the actual show because DS was fussing, but had a great dinner at a great price.

We like both Alfredo's and Le Cellier for different reasons. They are 2 totally different experiences, but I would recommend either.

Le Cellier is AWESOME! We had one of the best meals of our trip there. We will definitely eat there on our trips to come.

Thanks bubbasmom99! I never thought of that. I remeber when we went in 98 we also got a shopping pass for Epcot for after 4pm and we used it to do some shopping.

We are going to look at the menu and see what we may order and then if the package is a better deal, we'll switch to that. The we have the option of doing the show if we want and if the speaker that night is a good one. Or I can do the show, and DH can take the girls around WS or back to the hotel if he wants.

We've eaten at Le Cellier every one of our last 12 - 15 trips, I think we like it, hehehe........

I've only eaten at both places one time and not overly impressed at either. I would choose Le Cellier over Alfredo's. Service was pleasant and excellent at LC. Alfredo's the waiters were borderline rude, the pasta was mediocre and definitely over priced. I can't believe we paid that much for plates of spaghetti, nothing special at all. The dessert they recommended was so bad we still laugh about it. I can't quite remember it but it was a cake that had a flavor that should never have been put into a cake, like basil.

We ate at Le Cellier for the first time last November and really enjoyed it.

We used to like Alfredo's and would go there every trip, but as others have pointed out, they have all but eliminated the more popular Italian dishes from the menu, crammed more tables in and service has slipped considerable. Even the atmosphere has suffered from all of the above.

For what it's worth, there was a thread last week asking where to go for the best Italian food and Alredo's didn't even get an honorable mention. Portablello, Palio's, and even Mama Melrose's are currently being favored over Alfredo's. Too bad, though. Alfredo's used to be very good.

I would choose LeCellier, we ate there last year and really enjoyed the food. We went to Alfredo's last year also and will not be back. We would rather eat at The Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill back home.

We did Le Cellier last week. Service was very good. Kate, the waitress was right on and clearly proud of her native Canada. I had the filet. It was very good. Daughters had the chicken and were very pleased with it. WIfe had the stroganoff and not as happy with it. Cheese soup was wonderful . Bread was a nice touch.

Never have done Alfredos so in fairness can't compare.

You can eat two dinners at le Cellar for the price of Alfredos. I’m 100% Sicilian and did not care for Alferdos. Canada Rules!:smooth:
