I wouldn't even plan to go for NYE til 2002-2003, probably 12-28 thru 1-4 (that's Sat-Sat), because we already have our vacation plans for the rest of this year, but I'm beginning to think it might be fun to go for NYE, so I was thinking next year!

We own at OKW, would I be able to get 11 months out a studio? The thing also is I would book OKW for safe keeping, but 7 months out I would definately want to switch to BWV (studio) I know I'm nuts for even thinking there would be anything available, but if I went on a waitlist would it be even remotely possible???

just wondering!!! :)

thanks for any info on NYE!!!

Anything is possible. If you call at 11 months you will most likely be able to get the studio at OKW (or whatever is your home resort). While you may be able to get some of the days at BWV, it will be very tough to get the actual 12/30-12/31 nights. BWV is the ideal place to be for NYE and lots of folks know it. But, you never know what will happen with MS and it's worth a try. (I tried for NYE 1998 including calling while we were there and nothing ever came through.)

You might be able to get in the Beach Club Villas by then. If they stay on schedule, it should be up and running in the fall of 2002. That is assuming BCV will be part of the current DVC.

BCV - now there's a thought! we actually plan on buying an addon when they open!

What do you mean, if they're part of the current dvc???

Well, I'm NO expert...but we just went through all of our paperwork to buy into VWL and there was one line in there that said something like:

There is no guarantee that BCV will be added into the Disney Vacation Multi-unit time share system. DO NOT buy into DVC with the reliance on BCV becomming a part of DVC.

Something like that. The wording is not right. The jist of it is.

OhioMinnie did it specifically mention BCV? If it did that's very interesting. Usually they just say "future resorts built by DVD." Thanks for the info.

PamOKW:

My VWL add-on contract specifically mentioned that there was no guarantee that BCV would be part of DVC.

However, another previous add-on contract at another DVC resort, specifically mentioned that there was no guarantee that VWL would be part of DVC.

It was listed as BCV specifically. No other "future builds" were mentioned.
