Family of 5, do they require 2 bedroom?

We are in the serious stage of thinking of buying. We are also a family of 5 and want the BCV. We're used to the small rms of POR, so smallness doesn't bother us. Can we squeeze into a studio or 1 bedroom or do they require you to use points for a 2 bedroom? I could never afford that. I was planning on buying 175 points to start. Thanks.

The stated occupancy for a studio or 1BR villa is four, plus a child under 3 in the provided crib.

Disney will not check to see how many you have in your room and will not provide extra bedding in the way of cots and linens. Some have reported bringing sleeping bags, but most have agreed that as children grow, the space needs increase accordingly and they find the 2BR is much more critical.
