Waitlist - How often should we call?

I am on the waitlist to get a studio for our trip in December. I am wondering how often I should call to check to see if it is available?

MS said they would call me when it becomes available, but I have read other posts where some days are avaialable but not the whole reservation. Does MS call in that case?

I am just tyring to get it right so my family has a good time.

If you tell them that you will aitomatically accept ANY of your requested days, they can set up the waitlist that way for you. Keep in mind, if they do that it is possible that you could get unconsecutive days. IMHO, you have plenty of time to get this ressie, so accept whatever days are available and continue to waitlist until the time gets closer. Within 2-3 months I would call more frequently.
The waitlist does work, but it closes at 30 days unles to call back to be placed on again. It closes completely a week before. I'd still be patient at this point and allow the waitlist to work for you. Enjoy!

We were waitlisted for June to July and called everyday. We did a day by day for 11 days. Whatever opened up we took and patched the days in. We called everyday and finally got what we wanted. It only took two weeks. It is well worth it. :cool:

We changed our mind about staying in a studio for our DIS-Convention trip and when I called for a 1 bedroom they were all taken. I had them put me on the waitlist and requested automatic booking. I didn't want to have to move (only staying 4 nights) so if I could only get certain days I would have rather had the studio. About a month later I got a confirmation in the mail for the 1 bedroom without any further calls. Waitlist worked great for us!

I'm on a waitlist for end of November. They're supposed to call me if something comes up. Do I still call them, or just wait till they contact me? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I have gone on the Wait List two times--each time it came up with EXACTLY what I was looking for, and I never had to call day-by-day...

I have also used the waitlist twice (once for BWV and once for HH) and gotten what I was looking for well in advance of our trip. As for calling day after day, I think that that can get a bit tedious both for the DVCer and the Representatives answering ther phone. Good things come to those who wait.

I called MS and changed it so that they will automatically book any day that becomes available.
